I'm standing a few meters away from LOREEN..she's where i work..FILMING a new video! Lol..i seriously thought he'd had a drink or something.. Haha.. Too funny. His knees were like jelly. He kept going on about how unbelievably beautiful she is. And yeah..i did manage to get, not only one, but two autographs and a hat once the jelly went down to his toes and the _Star-Struckedness_ ;D) passed a little bit. It's now my profile pic. This song makes me wonder which kind of relationship Loreen really has with her past self as an artist, with her "Euphoria" era. Some of her songs in Ride (specially 71 Charger and Ride) gives me such as sad vibe about it. It's, as if she wasn't happy back then, as if she wasn't really herself. More than a changement or a rebirth it makes me feel like she really found herself now. It's so powerful...
You know something? Depending on the release date of this song, I almost wish she had tried again at MelFest 2018, after the failure of "Statements" the year before. It would have been fun to watch her in Lisbon, finessing a real '71 Charger on stage while singing a cut-down version of this song! 😁 She quite likely would have given Netta (Israel) and Eleni (Cyprus) problems on the scorecard. 🥶

I wish she had brought something as gritty as this to Eurovision 2023 this past week. But after the failure of "Statements" in 2017, she went back to her old playbook, because she is that much more of a stage performer,and with "Tattoo", it worked! 👊 I have little doubt that she may consider trying again in 4 or 5 years, and take aim at becoming at being THE single greatest ESC artist of all time, even at 44 or 45. Johnny Logan won his 3rd award as a _writer._. I think Loreen will want to do it _on the stage;_ and next time she goes to Eurovision (if she can qualify out of MelFest, because she will have only ONE MORE SHOT), I hope she brings sonething as gritty as the stuff she sang on this album, _RIDE._ 👍🌟
I love it. That callback to Euphoria, where you stand in the rain in the open field of grass... But now instead of trying to control the nature, you just lay on the grass, trying to become one with it. I love you Loreen, I 've been your fan forever and I will always stay that way, I am very glad that you are happy and free now.
My interpretations are the followings: just like Paperlight and some other videos she focus more on capturing a feeling or emotion than a story. It rememds me to Euphoria a lot and I think it can even have a relationship. For example Euphoria was her first video and the beginning of an era but she was not totally free. So as she is very tied to nature it may mean that now is a new era where she will "drive" herself and the old Loreen is dead. (In Euphoria she was alone fronting the storms, rain and snow, now she is in the nature with a car driving herself). At the same time it could mean that the Loreen that did or listened to others now is dead, as is heard in the lyrics, she prefers to kill herself than listen to what you have to say. Also she is seen in some scenes with a "dirty" face, and this could mean that her new music is dirtier. Nevertheless it remains faithful to itself and its style, she goes on black, the mystic, the nature, etc. And it is clear that it connects also with the title of the album RIDE and what she wants to transmit: is a rebirth.
But i miss old her. All her old songs are great than this new song. I miss so much her old songs espacially my heart is refusing me, euphoria, paper light and I'm in with you.
Dante& Vergil I miss her power vocals most of all. It's been awhile since she gave us some power vocals on a song. Hopefully there's some on the album.
