That's the most accurate description ever. Thanks for letting us also imagine this and possibly think to listen to this at that very moment. God bless.

Playstation 30th anniversary montage brought me here. Slow version of this song suits well for the video. So much memories with it 🥹 Anyone else? 🙋♂️ Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩
I remember dancing around my room at 15, singing these lyrics into a hairbrush. You gave me the courage and confidence I didn’t have, Dolores. Your music made life better. I’ll miss you.
there was love in the 90s , love for people and spending time with people , great partys great music maybe im getting old but i just feel like its all a rat race now and people are fake
People don’t exactly ‘lose’ accents, they gain another. If someone sings with an English or American accent, that’s not ‘no’ accent or their original accent got ‘lost’ or ‘less thick’, just different.
I had two strokes in November 2013. I was immobile for 6 months, suffered anxiety and could speak due to bad aphasia. I'll never forget the album that helped and inspired my recovery, Epic 45... May Your Heart Be the Map, especially 'The Stars in Spring'. I bless them every day.
It's not mention much but I always loved the drummer out of the Cranberries. His drumming elevates this beautiful piece of musical art. For 25 years I have listened to the Cranberries and his drumming is beautiful. ♥️
Everyone remembers Cranberries for Zombie and Linger and yes I love those songs like mad but Dreams to me is more special than both of those. I'm a 30 year old man in india who is getting married tomorrow, yes it is the worst and best day of my life because of uncertainty but I've stuck to this song all day for some reason. Maybe the opening lyrics about "oh my life..." And the "there'll come dreams impossible not to dream, impossible not to dream" No other song captured the imagination of a apprehensive heart this well. So I salute this Irish act.
Her voice is impossible to ignore. Legend. Great band. Lyrics: Oh, my life is changing everyday In every possible way And oh, my dreams It's never quite as it seems Never quite as it seems I know I felt like this before But now I'm feeling it even more Because it came from you Then I open up and see The person falling here is me A different way to be Aah, la-ah-la-ah La-la-la La-ah-la-ah I want more, impossible to ignore Impossible to ignore And they'll come true Impossible not to do Possible not to do And now I tell you openly You have my heart so don't hurt me You're what I couldn't find A totally amazing mind So understanding and so kind You're everything to me Oh, my life is changing everyday In every possible way And oh, my dreams It's never quite as it seems 'Cause you're a dream to me Dream to me
Dolores was the best female voice of modern music. So talented and unfortunately is not with us anymore but will always be in our hearts. Thanks Dolores for what you have done for music.
So true. I love when vocalists can retain their accents in singing without it sounding like standard North American speech. Her Celtic chant at the end is just phenomenal as well.
One band that sends me to another place. This is a special gift. rest in peace Hun. I mean we lose people all the time but replacing you just isn't possible. That's how you know you've touched the world
So true, this song is in one of those gems that is beyond genre's and sound, it just takes you somewhere. Having a hit-record is the closest we'll get to immortality/perpetual energy- that energy is not lost.
Dedicated this amazing song to my husband,Swarna. You are truly amazing, extraordinary, and incredible. You literally have changed my life. From day one, I couldn't ignore you. No matter how many times I listen to this song, it seems this song was written for you, sweetie. You are a dream to me. You are a real example of how our loved ones should be. Love you!
This song always makes me tear up or cry. I have a daughter with autism, and I always think of this song as her point of view. Because her life is always changing with her therapies, her speech, and her knowledge. And sometimes I wonder what her dreams are, and dad and I do everything we can so she can be self sufficient and so she can accomplish her dreams. And we love her so much, but since she’s been diagnosed her life has changed for the better, but these small changes that happen do affect her life drastically, but for good. Sorry for the rant, I had to get this off my chest. Edit: she’s finally saying 2-3 word sentences now. She’s communicating more, and for us this is a huge victory. Parents with children that have autism, it will get better. Just keep pushing and never settle, and your child will thrive ❤
A mother's love can be such a precious thing. You're blessed to have such a beautiful and priceless relationship with your daughter. Even if she doesn't fully show or understand right now just how much you care for her, as she gets older, she'll realize and appreciate all the effort and love you gave her. It really is the most powerful thing in the world. Thank you for sharing.
I'm another person on the spectrum of autism. My mother and I have a very special bond like this. You are doing everything right, just keep doing it! Your daughter will love you forever. I am forever indebted to my mother for all she did for me.
The music from 80’s and 90’s is still the best from now plus 60’s to 70’s music too even it was not from my generation 😍😍😍 Truly a masterpiece. Dolores is one of the best singer at her time, her legacy will never be fade out. Rest in paradise Idol... ( Edited due to some correction 💖💖💖 )
You know when you find a song you haven't heard in such a long time and you feel like a piece of your soul has been hiding in it? That's Dreams to me, I'm so glad i found this song again.
It’s pretty awesome how people can all relate someway. 2016-2017ish was the best year of my life and that’s the first time I ever heard this song and since then I would try to figure the name out and could never until it came out on a Netflix movie lol!!!
And another bright star faded away at the dawn of 2018. Today, Dolores O'Riodan's voice has been forever silenced. R.I.P. You will live forever through your beautiful songs! 💔
For people of a certain age, there are few songs that evoke those memories/feelings of youth, summer, and a seemingly bright and limitless future quite like like "Dreams" [See also...] Proclaimers - "I Would" (Walk 500 Miles), Rusted Root "Send Me On My Way", and Len - "Steal My Sunshine"
Born in 70. Got to appreciate it all. Golden oldies, singer songwriters from the 70s, "lite rock" , pop radio, new wave, punk, birth of rap, grunge , heavy metal, etc. It all kind of went to shit in the early 2000's
My mom says she would play this song while she was still pregnant with me. I've loved it ever since I was a kid. Rest in peace, Dolores. You've touched more lives than you know.
I just turned 50. Delores dies at 46. How time flies. What an angelic voice. The 80's, which were so instrumental in the Cranberries sound and Delores' experience, as it was mine. She was a bright spot in a rather drab 90's musical scene. Echo's of our youth, that was what Delores gave us and she did it with style and grace.
christschool Hey! Happy Birthday to you :) I hope your day was great. I've never actually listened to The Cranberries, but I've heard 'Dreams' couple times. But anyway R.I.P Dolores ✌
That is so right , I mean what else had we got being forced down our throat at that same time ? Britpop , terrible terrible depressing wet music , The Cranberries had a grungier rock sound to them . Rip to a great talent and beautiful person
Im 42 and I feel like our teen years, we just FELT everything SO MUCH so her music much like a lot of my 90s faves just brings all those memories and times back so vividly. I thank her for her contribution she was DEFINITELY an indelible part of my youth and I'll not forget her.
The emotion and her vocal range is intoxicating

The Cranberries will always have a place in my life 😊 RIP Delores, we were truly blessed to hear her heavenly voice
That may be but it’s not going to change my opinion
This for me is the ultimate travel song. The song fleets as you look at the surroundings outside the vehicle youre riding. What a feeling. The lyrics, the yodelling, the guitars are oozing with nostalgia.
It is always a dream to me when I hear that song, it brings me back to the time of peaceful music
I'm stealing this ..new travel song bro❤❤❤
Absolutely yes! Everything you just said **chefs kiss**
That's the most accurate description ever. Thanks for letting us also imagine this and possibly think to listen to this at that very moment. God bless.
It's been 4 years since Dolores' tragic death. Such an amazing & beautiful voice gone way too soon. Just 46 years old. Way too young. Such an iconic song. We miss you Dolores. Your music & spirit will always live on.

You will be remembered as a legend.
Sir, I know how that made you feel because I lost people I care about more than life itself and some of those people were heroes and mentors to me.
Well said jack i loved her to bits

OH, NO! I didn't know she died a few years ago! RIP

I LOVE the fact that she never lost her Irish accent whilst singing. It makes her songs unique.
Agreed!!!
Beautiful voice 🤩🤩🤩
I was thinking that whilst listening to Dolores singing “Promises” her Irish voice comes through beautifully.
Absolutely ADORE the Irish, and their accent, from a convict! But we play better footy!
People don’t exactly ‘lose’ accents, they gain another. If someone sings with an English or American accent, that’s not ‘no’ accent or their original accent got ‘lost’ or ‘less thick’, just different.
Happy 53rd Birthday Dolores, you will never be forgotten

Everyone remembers Cranberries for Zombie and Linger and yes I love those songs like mad but Dreams to me is more special than both of those. I'm a 30 year old man in india who is getting married tomorrow, yes it is the worst and best day of my life because of uncertainty but I've stuck to this song all day for some reason. Maybe the opening lyrics about "oh my life..." And the "there'll come dreams impossible not to dream, impossible not to dream"
No other song captured the imagination of a apprehensive heart this well. So I salute this Irish act.
Good luck & happiness to you from the U.S.!

Her voice is impossible to ignore. Legend. Great band.
Lyrics:
Oh, my life is changing everyday
In every possible way
And oh, my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems
I know I felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you
Then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be
Aah, la-ah-la-ah
La-la-la
La-ah-la-ah
I want more, impossible to ignore
Impossible to ignore
And they'll come true
Impossible not to do
Possible not to do
And now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me
Oh, my life is changing everyday
In every possible way
And oh, my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
'Cause you're a dream to me
Dream to me
Dolores was the best female voice of modern music. So talented and unfortunately is not with us anymore but will always be in our hearts. Thanks Dolores for what you have done for music.
So true. I love when vocalists can retain their accents in singing without it sounding like standard North American speech. Her Celtic chant at the end is just phenomenal as well.
So true.

The best female voice? A woman named Natalie merchant begs to differ.
She truly was amazing

The 90s sucked. This has more of a late 80s feel.
Love you!
I live for you ❤
This song always makes me tear up or cry.
Just keep pushing and never settle, and your child will thrive ❤
really lovely words , thank you for sharing that
Thank you, we all need to speak out when feeling such emotions that we can't share sometimes. May God be with each one one of us.
That’s so beautiful I feel the love you have for your daughter . ♥️. Your a good mom
