"What'd you do on Saturday?" "Spent 3 hours watching JB Build series" LOL Thanks for the info, as a complete newbie it's nice to know more of the ins and outs to this new & awesome (but overwhelming) hobby.
i used an EP1 antenna, and hung the antenna out the front below the camera. It might get damaged, but its cheap. And i think its the best spot for the clearest signal The ELRS 2.4 antennas are far too short to stick between arms like the crossfire
good video series! cant wait to see it fly. Just got into FPV drones after a few years of flying just cheap little drones and 1 gps drone. Went with a Tinyhawk Freestyle 2. must say i enjoy but 1 month in a feel ive outgrown :D
i just got mine stuck in a tree. Poked it down with a stick and tried to catch it full weight of the quad falling down into the palm of my hand, on the tip of a prop. not too much blood. Props are dangerous even when they're entirely unpowered lol.
@@JoshuaBardwell what sort of distance and flight time can you get out of this unit? Just ordered mine, arrives here in Canada this week. Stoked mate thanks for your work.
Hello Joshua, I've been behind this for a few months, every time I go down a mountain with gopro the quads accelerate as I go down, even if I remove the throttle it accelerates and flies away, why is that??
Hey JB love the series, love the channel and love the drone! I was hoping you could help me out. I’ve fully assembled the drone and everything is looking good and working well except for the video feed to my goggles. I’m able to find the feed channel and all is clear when I face the antennas at the drone from a few feet away but as soon as I move the goggles further away I completely loose connection. I can’t see any visual damage to antennas or vtx.
It seems like the vTX might be in pit mode. If so, the power led will be flashing. To take it out of pit mode hold down the vTX power button until it stops flashing.
i would like to buy this kit but there is 70$ for the delivery in France !!! i think i gonna take an rekon4 at 240$ with 7$ for the delivery in France :/
Josh, please help!!! I got the this quad built. Everything went great. I ordered the full DJI system, Vista with DJI controller and v2 goggles. During testing without props on it arms fine, but after I give it some throttle it just stays throttled up. If I tried to do this test with the props on, it probably would have ended up on the moon. Can you help me trouble shoot my issue? I am thinking it might be the battery??? I got the recommended 6S 1500mAh Lumenier battery. Also the Vista was overheating??
It sounds like you may need to throw around some ideas with builders and flyers of FPV drones in order to troubleshoot. You could also email JB directly, I've heard he clears all his emails daily and he's super generous with his time and expertise.🙂 joshuabardwell@fpvknowitall.com If you do quite a lot of drone building and flying you could always join the patreon for a couple of quid a month. Right now I can talk with hundreds of FPV enthusiasts 24 hours a day on the FPVknowitall Discord. They're also a nice bunch of dudes. 🤗
The DJI system can go out to 13 km under ideal conditions. Under more real-world conditions a km or less is typical. The analog system I would say a km or less is typical.

Excellent, Joshua! Looking forward to the flight video! 😃

So how big is the difference between a 2022 build compared to a 2021 or 2020 build… much changed performance wise?
These are 2207 motors while the earlier one was 2206, so a little more power and torque.

@@edhog have you figured out flight distance by chance ? I’m looking at getting the Hd one here quite soon
Project a lot 🔝🔝🔝, I really liked the tips!!!
These comprehensive build video series's's's are Super Dooper! 👌 Do you still have your Tyro 129 JB?

Any plans to make this build available in Europe?
Wait am i actually first? Love your videos JB!

Joshua, looks like i also have m2 drilled holes for the antenna mount, how did you use the camera spares to mount it?
Yeah exactly.

Is there a 3d print to include a GPS module ?
Lovely

ruclips.net/video/xBaefeQtA1c/видео.html explains why the motor speed up.
Vista overheating on the bench is normal. It will shut down to avoid damage. In airflow when flying it'll be fine.
@@JoshuaBardwell That was it!!!!! Thanks JB
How heavy is it fully assembled?
does kit included 3d printed part?
