    Great that you found the issue. These engines are notoreously difficult to time. Using poor quality cam locking tools cause this, because there is too much play.

    I had missed this video when you first uploaded, too much work to do and I completely forgot it. But yeah finally! It would be interesting to see it on a dyno to find if there are any differences on torque and power output between the 2 engines. Also, what kind of 5cyl you want to use? The naturally aspirated one from 2.4 20v 170hp Abarth or the 2.0 20V 220hp turbo off a Coupe?

    • @ItalianRebuild
      @ItalianRebuild  7 месяцев назад +1

      No problem haha. I am going to use the 2.4 20v.
      First the water damaged Abarth back on the road....😉

    Good job finding the fault! And great info as i never knew about those timing plates. I suppose those plates can be used on other 1.6 fiat engine as well?

      Thanks! Yes they are for every Fiat 1.6 engine

    Well done! I imagine it was quite hard to revisit the timing in the thought process of troubleshooting, as it was "just set" and should be correct. And if you would tested it with the old tool, it may have been showed it to be in time...

    • @ItalianRebuild
      @ItalianRebuild  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes indeed! Took me 4 times to get it right and indeed we checked the timing with the old tools and all was looking perfect so thats why i did not check it immediately.

    • @xynostasos9022
      @xynostasos9022 7 месяцев назад

      @@ItalianRebuild the old tools were garbage. I've heard horror stories from people in Greece taking them to non-Alfa/Fiat garages to change the timing belt only to see them ending with a ton of mysterious problems, such as unsteady idle as you, oil burning etc.

      @@xynostasos9022 Indeed! The car is fine now. Old Bravo engine works perfectly in the Stilo. No issues.

    Hey bro, i have question. Leather seats from 3door will they fit in 5door fiat stilo

    • @ItalianRebuild
      @ItalianRebuild  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! Check out my "Trip to Italy" video on my channel. In the beginning of the video i placed 5 door back seat in 3 door Stilo.
      Only thing that will not fit is doorcards and ofcourse you have a handle on the seat.... 😉
