Hong Kong actor Michael Wong, who has graced the screen for more than three decades, talks about typecasting in the film industry.
I always get excited to see Michael Wong on screen. The dudes been acting since the 80s and his abilities age like wine. Great actor.
I will always remember him as the stern and dedicated Special Duties Unit team leader.
Still handsome after all these years.

Wong Jing should have worked with Michael Wong. The guy speaking Cantonese just brings a smile to audience and I think Wong Jing could have used the guilo edge to make him a leading man like Stephen Chow.

He was born in and spent the first 20 years of his life in the US, so no surprise his English sounds natural.

No one keeps him in a pocket, it's because he still sound and act like a fob after all these years. He is super handsome in an asia pov but he is not the best actor, people like him the way he is though.
Exactly, his spoken Cantonese still sounds like he's foreigner. He will never sound like a local and that's why he is typecasted
@@willchu Don't forget that Michael Wong is not only American but he is only half Chinese. So why should be be expected to sound like a Hong Konger? Not everyone is like Anthony Wong (1/2 Chinese/1/2 Limey born and raised in HK).
