I was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma, I’m 63 and thought it was my gallbladder acting up. Went to my primary care clinic and he sent me for an Ultrasound and it showed a mass in my pancreas. That same day he sent me for a CT Scan and it was negative. I asked for an EUS and a biopsy was done and they were able to find a 4 x 3 cm mass which tested positive for Adenocarcinoma. 3 weeks later I had a Whipple procedure done and a month later I started 6 months of chemotherapy. I finished on October of 2022 and my first PET SCAN was negative. I had my first CT SCAN on February of this year and it was also negative. We still have a long way to go, but nonetheless I couldn’t be happier. Fight on!!!!!

I discovered after being diagnosed with idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitis, that Hydrochlorothiazide, and Amlodipine are both harming to the Pancreas ! These were given as High blood pressure Med's ! My Primary chose to ignore my telling him of changes in my stools ! And instead treated me for other things ? Delaying my diagnosis ! Too, you have to advocate for yourself ! Don't give up, until someone listens to you ! GOD HELP US ALL !
Hello sir how are you now, I'm 26 years old I have anxiety that I may have pancreas disorder?? Because I have unusual.feeling in my left side of upper abdomen, though I'm not loosing weight, and it doesn't feel pain after eating I'm still woried, I fell like dull pain, sometimes
@@robertjaycadorna646 Very simply, if at all possible get yourself seen by a Gastrointestinal Doctor, if possible ! I don't want to cause you any undo anxiety, but time is of utmost importance, as I believe the high mortality rate, is with Pancreatic Cancer, many times there simply are few symptoms, until the Cancer has metastasized. Meaning, spread to other organs ! Early signs may be the Yellowing of the skin, and, or Whites of your Eyes, known as Jaundice ! If you can, have your Blood sugar checked as well ! ( There are specific ways this is done properly, to get accurate result's ) As the Pancreas regulates insulin, and secretes enzymes that aid in digestion ! Watch too for dark urine, and stools that appear light in color, and float, with an oily surface in the toilet water ! Too, if the pain you are having in the stomach, and back area's can only be relieved by tucking your knee's to your chest, similar to a fetal position, I was told that it is symbolic of a pancreatic attack ! May give you some clue ? But I would offer that it is imperative that you seek Medical attention, even starting with your Primary Physician ! I know that some of these symptoms are not easy to discuss, but these are professional's that have likely seen and heard it all, several times over ! Remember, this could simply be a Gallstone, or stones, that have moved into the Pancreas, and may be blocking, or beginning to block the Pancreatic ducts, leading to the intestines ! Again, something that needs addressed as soon as possible, and treatment begun before damage can be done ! I offer these idea's from my own experience, and not from any medical expertise, but believe this to be solid idea's ! Take it for what it's worth ! Hopefully yours will be something unrelated ! Fear of knowing the Truth, I think keeps many from asking the important questions, until thing's have progressed to far ! Early diagnosis is key for any Cancer, but as mentioned, many times symptoms are few until things have progressed ! Not worth waiting, in my opinion ! Hope you find this info helpful, and I wish you well ! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR'S !
Thank you. Now I have something to refer friends that have been diagnosed but unsure. You made this for the average person to understand and that makes it easy for me to use as a tool.
My Dad passed away 11days ago at 22dec 2023 because of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Just 2 month after diagnosed. We cant do much even with medical treadment
The sad part is that the conventional medical field knows how we become ill, but does not show us how we can prevent illness or how to heal from disease.
Well that's not necessarily true, I think that the things that can prevent illness tend to be difficult for most people to accept and accomplish. Eating low sugar and sodium diet, exercise, quality sleep, low stress are all things that people struggle to attain.
Great illustration and step by step cause and effect explanation. Thank you. First watch and ï subscribed right away. Way better than talking to any doctors who are too mostly hard headed and lack knowledge....
Thank u for this video it helps me understand this disease better although it has already taken a toll on my mother, in which is dying from it. The only symptom was weight loss but that wasn’t enough to diagnose years earlier,Before her diagnosis this year in July 2018 She suffered with stomach pain and started eating less and less food. Don’t know how I can live Without this Amazing woman I love Dearly 😢😓

Such a detailed teaching on The Pancreas, it's importance in the body and how it's affects the whole body and organs when growths becomes pancreatic cancer. My mom has a growth on her Pancreas, and having so many of these symptoms. Mostly sitting up to sleep bc of the gases coming in the stomach. Thank Dr for such in depth information and education. Many blessings to you.
After seeing GI for so many of the symptoms and complaints in and out of the hospital lately, no one has ever described to my mother that her Pancreas may be the root of her problem. MRI shows its growing as she recently saw a Pancreatic Dr, but it's being watched. How can a disease like this treated?
@@blossomwhyte4787 hope your mother is fine. The only treatment is chemotherapy or radiation ,its very hard to cure pancreatic cancer if the cancer has spread to other organs .
@@TheWalterSamuel21 That might be the best option if it was caught early but it usually isn't. If it's already stage 4 or maybe even 3 then it's considered inoperable and chemo and or palliative care are the options.
My partner of 20 years passed away from stage 5 pancreatic cancer September 27,2018. He was my first love. And the father to my son. We miss him every day as we never knew he was sick. He always thought it was a terrible stomach bug. And did not like seeing the dr. We miss him alot. Our last family dinner was Saturday September 22nd 2018. And he went to hospital Sunday September 23rd. Not knowing what was happening he passed away. The drs told me unfortunately 😔 the cancer had spread throughout his body. It went to his bowels his lungs amd brain. He had a cardiac arrest and died. He was only 54 years young. We miss him so so much. May he forever Rest in Paradise.
My father died of pancreatic CA 7 months from diagnosis, he received chemo 4 out of 7 treatments. Went on reverse isolation right away. Horrendous form of cancer , and very painful. I really wish that they will discover a treatment for it.

Thanks to your video's I went to a dermatologist and I have to get surgery done to remove birthmarks that look like stage 0 melanoma thank you doctor I caught it in time
It doesn't help in any way. I am a heavy drinker myself, and I am confident alcohol will be a factor in my death, whatever the ultimate cause may be. Alcohol does NOTHING good, that is for sure.
My dad, his younger brother and their mother all had pancreatic cancer. The specialists at Cedar Sinai said it's genetic. There's a test they can do now to see if you carry the gene.
I doubt alcohol is much of a contributing factor of pancreatic cancer, I was diagnosed with it in December 2021 and I only had the odd beer, but most of the pancreatic cancer sufferers I meet in my chemo cycles have never drank or smoked in there life.
Knowing the symptoms is almost pointless. By the time symptoms are present, it’s generally too late. And if it’s not, good luck getting a doctor to check for it before it’s too late. It’s a numbers game. It’s still a relatively rare cancer, so finding it early isn’t cost effective.
Recent research is suggesting that we will be able to spot cancers much earlier through blood tests soon. Although my advice is to enjoy yourself whilst you can, if cancer doesn't get you, something else will.
It's not solely disease that kills you, it's doctors delaying testing and diagnosis and even when they find something the jackasses dismiss abnormal as normal like when the idiots told me " it's just a little infection, it's just a little inflammation, it's just a little malignancy. We will just keep an eye on it " It's that type of idiocy that causes premature deaths because timing is everything.
My late husband 64 died in 2009, once he found out, he did not want any treatment, he saw his friend go thru chemo, etc, lots of pain and agony,so, when he got sick, he just accept it and died peacefully..blame Asian Orange spray in the Vietnam war. They were fighting there in 1966 age 22, a waste of time, wars are a curse.
Thank you. My brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last month. Which is more deadly? having the tumor at the head of the pancreas or at the tail end. They did the Whipple proceedure on him.
Its all deadly . I was diagnosed in 2014. Had the whipple chemo radiation. Its a miracle i am here today my half missing pancreas left me severely insulin dependent and now diabetes is killing me and kidney failure
@@raquellambropoulos279 If not for the existing kidney issues I would suggest trying a LCHF type diet. It's still probably doable if you're careful with the amount and type of protein you get and with a good Dr's supervision. 🤓🍻
My mom died in '99 from pancreatic cancer. It's a horrible disease because you don't know you have it till its to late. This cancer is becoming more and more prominent, more research needs to be done to catch it earlier so that there's more chance of a cure. I'd never even heard of pancreatic cancer before my mom had it. 😢❤️

Thank you Dr. for this wonderful video ! Very educational yet easy to understand. 👍
I have a co-worker who has been facing Stage 4 pancreatic cancer for the past 3 yeas. He had the Whipple surgery and is doing better but still has disease in his liver. This video was really helpful in explaining what my co-worker was going through.

Very well explained thank you.
@@DoctordanielgonzalezMD thank you doctor you are very effective in educating us on this
My mother had a stent put into her pancreas and she never experienced any pain as the enzymes were able to travel freely from the pancreas which in turn the pancreas stayed functional and intact even as the tumor grew.... She ultimately died years later in her sleep... Never experienced the pain associated with this disease...
I am sorry for your loss

Best video about pancreatic cancer I‘ve ever seen!
Thank you for this video. I always thought that Pancreatic Cancer was hard to diagnosed because there was no noticeable symptoms .I was wrong .Again thanks . I have shared with everyone I know.
The problem with pancreatic cancer is that we diagnose it too late, because symptoms appear when cancer is very advanced.
Knowing the symptoms may make us consult with the doctor a bit sooner.
Well defined video learning a lot about the eleven symptoms of the Pancreatic Cancer. Thank you for sharing this video very informative.
Thank you for an insightful video. Very helpful in understanding this horrible disease
This is the information that we really need . As I watch and listen carefully I can do imagine myself or somebody else who are sick or disease . Congratulation Dr. Daniel Gonzales . Good luck and more power . Now I know the shape of pancreas and what it looks like .
Thanks so much Mr Daniel for your great lecture. Now I know everything exactly. Good job! I am grateful.

@@bayoyoyyoyoy9968 I am sorry to hear that. She died 3 weeks after the diagnosis? This just shows how dangerous this type of cancer is.

Thank you.

@@robertjaycadorna646
Very simply, if at all possible get yourself seen by a Gastrointestinal Doctor, if possible !
( There are specific ways this is done properly, to get accurate result's )
As the Pancreas regulates insulin, and secretes enzymes that aid in digestion !
Please God, Help us All!!
Thank you Dr.for the very clear explanation of symptoms of pancreatic cancer.
God bless

So sorry, my dad passed away from the same disease 12 years ago.
Clearly explained, not an extra word. I understand it now! Superb lecture.
The sad part is that the conventional medical field knows how we become ill, but does not show us how we can prevent illness or how to heal from disease.
big pharma and food industry!
@@traceyhateley3925 Exactly. They work together, meaning the FOOD and DRUG Administration.
Well that's not necessarily true, I think that the things that can prevent illness tend to be difficult for most people to accept and accomplish. Eating low sugar and sodium diet, exercise, quality sleep, low stress are all things that people struggle to attain.
Very clear descriptions of pancreatic cancer thank you very much i love it !
I'm glad you liked it!
Great illustration and step by step cause and effect explanation. Thank you. First watch and ï subscribed right away. Way better than talking to any doctors who are too mostly hard headed and lack knowledge....

Very well explained. Thank you
Thank u for this video it helps me understand this disease better although it has already taken a toll on my mother, in which is dying from it.

@@TheChosenOne607 the only treatment is surgery!!!
@@TheWalterSamuel21 That might be the best option if it was caught early but it usually isn't. If it's already stage 4 or maybe even 3 then it's considered inoperable and chemo and or palliative care are the options.
Good morning doctor I'm watching from philippines stay safe God bless
May he forever Rest in

My father died of pancreatic CA 7 months from diagnosis, he received chemo 4 out of 7 treatments. Went on reverse isolation right away. Horrendous form of cancer , and very painful. I really wish that they will discover a treatment for it.
Yeah 7 months from starting cancer treatment? And fir 20-30 yrs his cancer was not able to kill... hmmm nothing to see here

Wow. Was I in a medical classroom, or what....thank you so much. This information is so valuable to me. I am a type 2 diabetic. Very well explained.
My Dad passed from pancreatic cancer, as did his father. Does alcohol consumption contribute to this cancer?
It doesn't help in any way. I am a heavy drinker myself, and I am confident alcohol will be a factor in my death, whatever the ultimate cause may be. Alcohol does NOTHING good, that is for sure.
My dad, his younger brother and their mother all had pancreatic cancer. The specialists at Cedar Sinai said it's genetic. There's a test they can do now to see if you carry the gene.
Hi.my dad was a pioneer..never drank
