my 2018 cx-5 has the same spec and i find it more than suitable especially if you have highways around. I only had manual driving cars and this one is by far the best manual experience out of all. Not even my Leon Cupra 300 can outmatch my cx-5s gear shifting quality.
Yup, in Canada, we lasted an extra year with the 2018 model being the last year with manual transmission option. Good thing I grabbed one, and I'm never getting rid of it. No pop up plastic HUD thingy though.
@@brianfrtz Awesome! My previous CX-5 with only 77K KM (45K miles) was also a 2014 GX/Sport with manual transmission. The only reason I have a 2018 CX-5 now is because another driver ran a stop sign (still drove fine, but our insurance provider basically writes off a car if the airbags are deployed). Enjoy it, the manual e-brake is far superior to the electronic e-brake on the newer models (I'm still quite frustrated with it daily, and not used to it after so many months). I'd take my 2014 back in a heartbeat (also, I had to shell out more cash to replace it!)
I own a '18 cx5 manual. It's a very slow car 154 hp for that sized vehicle is bad and the gear to rpm ratio is not good as well. Sadly no other options out there here in Canada.
I have the 2019 CX-5 Grand Touring with the premium package w/ 6-speed automatic. It shifts really smoothly. I see that yours doesn't come with Bose speakers and has that piece of glass for the hud instead of just projecting straight to windshield. The airconditioning instrument cluster seems to be a little different than mine as well.
@@Aroncare Maybe for you but it's not like having a manual will really improve the experience when I am mostly in stop and go traffic and parking lots.
@@JoeBlack9 perfect. I own an mx5 184 cv (wich I love) but I did not have idea how the 2.0 165 hp would run on a SUV . Thank you and congrats for your channel
I have a 2019 cx-5 with the 2.5t have an aftermarket air intake and om a tune just because the turbo spools a little slow does 0-60 in just about 6 seconds which isn’t bad at all. Handles corners a little rear right side tends to lift a little when aggressively taking corners but it’s an suv what can you expect
Some of reviewers said that this car has unstabled when driving fast (>100km/h) especially when changing between lanes, can anyone shares some experiences? Appreciated!
Trung Duc Hua drove better than my x5 m sport (which has heavy duty suspension) I took a test drive and didn’t get it up there but the front and rear really work in sync. It’s be the last car I’d expect to have poor high speed stability and I see many of them driving faster than me and I drive pretty fast.
A manual transmission of an SUV is valuable existence. Valuable.
almost al SUV's under 60 000 euros have it standard here in Belgium
Yo, so glad I got my 2022 manual RHD CX-5 before they removed the option, it’s truly a fuel saver, i averaged at 6.7L/100km (35.1MPG).

Do you start a car? I dont hear it. Wow. This car is unbelivable. Mazda.
Currently looking at a first Gen (2013) with a 6spd - fingers crossed it’s the one!
Would love to use for camping trips with all that cargo space
It's a shame they discontinued the manual in the States after 2017.

After 5 years would you still buy the CX-5 with manual?
@9:00 17L/100 km, Isn't that a little bit too much for this car ?
Hi! How is Mazda CX-5 compared with Kia Sportage IV Facelift as for: 1. Noise inside cabin. 2. Suspension. 3. Interior materials quality ? Thank you!
I can not see the difference
How is this engine? Has it got a good acceleration for a daily drive?
good very good

Petrolengine in a Horsetrailer/Caravan-truck? Is this car gonna pull a 3 tons Caravan over the Brennerpass?
No you better buy an Audi Q8 with a Bentley on a trailer to make sure! Cost a bit more the CX5, Heck the wheels on a Bentley cost more than a new CX5!
My dad drive use manual I'm dizzy😵
❤️MAZDA❤️
The gearbox ratios are shit. 3000rpm at 120km/h in 6th? Not good...Could do with a 7spd auto
He's going 140kph at 3k rpms.
