    Been really eyeing the Nikon ZF but I keep coming back to my X-T5 just because how fun and easy it is to use. Yes the ZF has AF that is leagues above the Fuji currently along with low light shooting but the X-T5 is just so light and versatile with the small lenses. Just makes me want to go out and shoot.

      I sold my XT5 recently for the Zf, the Zf is such an amazing camera, this camera gives you also the feeling to go out and shoot. The XT5 is still an a great camera and very easy to use but I'm happy I made the switch. Btw full frame sensor is great to have.

    Fuji almost 20 years now for me, T5 is the BEST model I have had....all they Still need do is more improve the ADVANCED AF. still catching up. had the 33, lens now only the 35 F2.....the 33 is awesome, but needed the $$ for building my Nikon Z6 FF system. may get another Fuji 33mm again next year.

    I've tried to go Sony FF a few times. But image quality, size, weight and cost keep me solidly with Fuji. I've sold 30x40 inch prints from my XT3, and 1/2 of the images in my new book are from the XT5/XH2. The video is outstanding as well. No need for anything else! 🙂

    As a portrait photographer I was really bummed to hear there wasn't a battery grip option for the XT5. A real shame considering it was a great step in the photography direction after a disappointing XT4. Seems like there's no reason for me to upgrade my XT3 any time soon.

    • @Tnmyes
      @Tnmyes 4 месяца назад +1

      As a XT5 owner myself, Im curious, what kind of work you do and why do you need a battery grip? Also, how the xt3 performs toy your workflow? Thank you!!!

    • @pasust1688
      @pasust1688 4 месяца назад +2

      @@Tnmyes I mostly do fashion portrait stuff. During shoots I almost always shoot in the vertical position so having a grip is far more comfortable for this especially in longer shoots. Additionally I very often utilise on camera flash and have to use a small flash bracket as a result to offset the flash. The battery grip is important for this because it moves the flash even closer to the lens if that makes sense. It's a bit of a niche set up but at least for shooting in vertical having a battery grip is a great feature.

      what is wrong with the xt4? Im currently shooting an xt2 still. Wondering if I should upgrade to xt3 or get xt4 or xt5

    Hey, great video as always. When you said you started with X-T2 I realized that I watched your video many years ago because I also started in 2016 with Fuji system and it was X-T2. I changed system from Nikon D700 because I wanted something easier to travel with and I was looking for some content about Fuji.
    I've been following your channel for a while now and I have to say that your content really inspires me to finally start my own youtube channel. I've been thinking about it for many years. Time to stop talking and start creating.
    I can't wait to see your video about GFX. Greetings from Poland.

    Wow! I can’t believe I’ve never thought of setting up my focus to a single center point and then having it on auto track like you show in the video. That way I can just always put the subject in the center of frame, half press, and recompose. Rather than moving the focus point around manually with the stick 🤯🤯🤯. I feel like my whole world has been turned upside down . I know the video wasn’t about auto focus lol, but it sounds way more efficient than me manually doing it like I have been. it has never once occurred to me to try and do it that way, brilliant!

    • @MitchLally
      @MitchLally  4 месяца назад

      Glad it helped! So much quicker than moving the focus point.

      How do you enable this single point focus tracking? Can't seem to get it working on my X-T5.

    • @TheWarder500
      @TheWarder500 3 месяца назад +2

      @@philt_ukthere are multiple things you got to do however, the main one I found myself failing to do was turning the little dial on the front of my camera, located to the bottom right side of the lens, to “C” mode. The dial has “S, C and M” on it . I think “C” stands for continuous tracking. That was the one setting that took me forever to realize I needed to turn on. After that the only other main thing is to change is your “AF mode” on the back LCD screen either in the main menus or the quick menu thing to “Wide/Tracking” mode.

    I've been with Fuji since the X-T1 came out, and I've never had to clean the sensor. What kind of voodoo are they using? I have to clean the sensors on my Canon and Nikon full frames all the time.

    Well a "sense of control" is not really there when we are talking about AF. As Fuji user we cannot continue to spend money and miss photo just in the name of the camera design. This camera are well priced and have to perform accordingly. The AF is not reliable and I can understand why so many people love the Fuji but use other system when it comes to deliver result. FUJIFILM needs to fix the AF issue.

    • @MitchLally

      If you don’t like it just get something else and stop watching XT5 videos? 🤷‍♂️

    • @jackrussel9991
      @jackrussel9991 2 месяца назад +1

      @@MitchLally Well that doesn't seem like the point to me. As I said, I am a FUJIFILM user and I would like to be able to find satisfaction in the product purchased, even reviewed and praised without highlighting the real limitations of the system. Only recently have we started to see videos that highlight the AF problem. So it's not about whether I like it, but it's about whether it works.

    I think Fuji should fix the autofocus problem, before releasing new cameras. I like the XT5 but the poor low light performance and frustrating autofocus makes the whole experience unpleasant.

      I’m sure that if you zoomed in quite a lot you would see more detail on the 40mp but you’d have to go in pretty far. At a normal viewing size especially on a phone there’s no way you could tell the difference.

    I like the Fuji X-T5 for its resolution - 40mp vs Nikon ZF much lower less sharp 25mp. On the other hand, shooting birds in flight I'm not very thrilled about the *frustrating X-T5's autofocus shenanigans.* 😠

    I don’t get this “so lightweight” rhetoric: I shoot both on x-t5 and a7iv and the difference is not that obvious, especially with the 35 1.4 :D The body is only 50 grams lighter than a7.. and in terms of size x-t5 is smaller in the grip department and that’s basically it.
    I love the x-t5 and it drives me further away form the Sony system, but there nothing compact about it.
