    it worked! Fridge couldn't stop beeping after we came back from a power failure. I simply switched the power off as there was no mute alarm button!

    Model #FRSS2623AS ... Brand new like less than one month old. Power went out. Able to get the alarm shut off. Freezer is saying high temperature all day. Shut the refrigerator off and waited 5 minutes. Worked for a little while. Now it is saying the same thing. Is there a reset button... what do I do? Help needed!

      Thank you for your review. We regret hearing about your experience with this unit so early on. We are happy to be working with you to ensure you have a refrigerator that is working as designed! Check the temperature display. The high-temperature warning could indicate an actual temperature increase in the freezer or refrigerator compartments. Check if the interior feels warm or if food is thawing. This could be due to the power outage affecting the cooling system. Try to unplug and plug back in your unit after 5 minutes. In the event the tips provided do not resolve your concerns, please connect with us via live chat or by phone at 1-800-374-4432 Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. EST, and we will be happy to assist.

      My Samsung just set an alarm off that shook the house worse than any smoke detector. Ran to the fridge it stopped unplugged most things except the Refridgerator.
      Water was warm ish but after fighting with Samsung they said unplug wait 3 minutes more plug it back in. I chose to use the fuse rather than move the beast.
      Sounds pretty accurate. Fn replaced water filter and emptied ice cube bin, so it was making ice when it sounded.
      Better to know what the piss that noise is then wonder

    We bought a Frigidaire side-by-side fridge/freezer, model #FRSS2323AB4, a couple weeks ago. After buying it, having it installed, etc, we find out there's an alarm that goes off if there's a power outage. I 100% do not need this. I am disabled and bedbound most of the day and all night long. If that alarm goes off, it is very likely I will be unable to get to the fridge and turn it off. I have contacted Frigidaire through their website and through Facebook messenger and body could answer the question as to if the alarm that sounds after a power outage is at the same volume as when one of the doors is left open. Can anybody please give me an answer?

      @Frigidaire  Год назад +1

      Hello, @JulieWaters524. The power outage alarm is a feature that cannot be disabled as it is a built-in feature. It can be silenced by pressing any button. The volumes of the two alarms are similar in frequency. We hope this information helps you. - Damon

      @imjuliewaters Год назад

      @@Frigidaire Thank you for your response. If by frequency you mean sound frequency/volume and not how often it makes noise, that helps a lot as I can barely hear the alarm for when the door is left open so the same should happen for the power outage alarm.

    • @Frigidaire
      @Frigidaire  Год назад +1

      @@imjuliewaters That is correct! It's important to know if the refrigerator lost power at any point so that you can check the safety of your food, but the alarm shouldn't be too obtrusive. :) ~Ashton

    But can we permanently disable the alarm?

    • @imjuliewaters
      @imjuliewaters Год назад +1

      I've been told they can't be disabled, which really sucks. I'll know if there was a power outage. I don't need the fridge to tell me along with the texts from my electric company, the stove clock blinking, the microwave time being wrong, etc.

      @Frigidaire  Год назад

      Oh, no! If you're getting an SY EF error, this may indicate an issue with the evaporator fan. If the error does not clear by acknowledging it on the display or resetting the power, we would recommend having a technician come to take a look. You can find an authorized local servicer on our website at the following link: www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Service--Repair/ . Or, if your fridge is under warranty, you can reach out to us by Live Chat or by phone at 800-374-4432 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8:00pm EST so we can set it up for you! ~Ashton
