    BIG believer in Ketamine treatments. I have had 6 sessions and each time it was more and more insightful. It's been enjoyable in the process. It heals the synapses in the brain and permanently heals to give you a new base to build upon. It is literally like starting over and not being stressed out about the process.

    New doctor's always think im joking when ive said ive tried every conventional SSRI medication for my BPD/PTSD/depression until they look at my medical records and see the list of meds. At one point they had me on 13 different medications, out of the 13 meds 11 where for mental health. None worked. Just made me more depressed and put on 40lbs which made me more depressed. Figured i was better off without meds and just wing it with cannabis and lots of gym time along with isolation. Going to talk to my VA doctor about this at my appointment tomorrow.

    I suffered from chronic depression and anxiety from birth. (36 years now) Tried everything, this changed my life. Changed my way of thinking about things positively. My anxiety is as good as gone. I'm taking for almost 2 years now. I went from 30 points to 0 on what you call PHQ9. I'm from Belgium so Spravato is almost fully covered universally.

    I love your videos, and am pretty confident in saying you yourself, taking the time to make these videos is changing lives. I was terrified of spravato and too afraid of treatment. After approval I backed out bc I couldn’t get past the severe anxiety the “what ifs” were causing me. But I knew I had to do something. YOUR videos gave me the courage I needed to just do it…and it’s changed my life. I may never of taken the leap if not for you. So here we are , effectively strangers, and thanks to you, I’m healing and feeling alive for the first time in over 20 years. How do you even thank someone for that. What a blessing.

I lost my brother, then my mom, then my nephew, then my youngest brother. I'm a licensed professional counselor, and it's difficult to help others find hope when I'm so hopeless. Watched your week 1 video earlier today beforehand, and was glad to hear some firsthand experience of the process and feelings. @@ievaanitagrunsberga2881 I would say that if you can't access, or don't want to try meds, finding a good therapist and going regularly can also have a big, positive impact. Everyone's experience is different of course, but for me, therapy was a massive component in retraining my thought patterns, giving me more tools to handle stressful situations, and getting my self-worth back to where it should be.
      I hope you can ride the waves of your depression and find some relief somehow. It's been a 30+ year struggle for me, and a lot of hard work along the way, but it's worth it. Take care!

    I am going for my consultation next week. I’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety since befpre I even knew what those things were. As a child I just remember feeling bad inside and being nervous and edgy a lot of the time. I couldn’t relate to other kids, and mostly stayed to myself. I didn’t know why, I was just sad most of the time, and never really felt happy. As an adult I’ve been on a number of different antidepressants, I’ve had therapy, and the best that I ever feel is just okay. I’d just like to able to laugh without it feeling forced, and to have the chance to feel happy.

    I have only done the ketamine infusions thus far that I was extremely lucky to get covered for a short period of time. Your tips and tricks are helpful to either way you experience it (infusions of ketamine or esketamine via Spravato). This is such a helpful video for anyone about to embark on the journey. I'll be starting Spravato soon and hope it will be as groovy of an experience as the infusion. I know it probably wont be (intensity wise) but a girl can hope! I came to LOVE to slight bit of dissociation and separation from my intensely depressed and chronic pain ridden body.

      @@nicepeopletalk Hey! So this is my 4th week on Spravato, I have been noticing some powerful positive improvements. However, I seem to have one good session and another bad one. For example, on Tuesday, I would feel very tired and groggy and unmotivated after the treatment for the entire day, on Thursday I would feel more concentrated and less tired, motivated and my mood is actually pretty good until I get my next treatment the following Tuesday. I have not been able to have any experiences like the ones you had, I’m super bummed about that. All I experience is the weird dark abstract morphing shapes that have no meaning to me. Tomorrow is my 8th treatment and hopefully I will get to feel more stable. I see that you kept getting better and better after the first month, im so hoping that I will get to feel that way too. @@nicepeopletalk yes! As soon as I take my 3rd dose I try so hard to think about my grandma (she died a year ago). I’m desperate to have any sort of experience about her, but nothing. I also tried to fall asleep, but I can’t sleep through it either lol. Let me tell you about my first time trying this…. It knocked me out, but I was still aware, I couldn’t feel my body, I couldn’t feel myself breathing so I thought, I guess I died… But I was so peaceful that I said ok, if I’m dead and I get to feel like this, then this is great I don’t mind it. I was in a timeless state of deep relaxation, what you refer as the sweet spot I’m guessing. 1st Spravato dose today was scary, dark thoughts, intense anxiety, crying. I felt so bad I prayed, didn’t know what else to do. There should be informed consent that you could feel this way. PA said it’d be like being drunk & high. Not true for me. No pre-session prep advice or what to do re: transpo. I’m a lawyer & took train to work after. When PA came to check on me 40min in I told her I felt very scared. She said that’ll go away & left. When I told her how awful it was after she backpedaled & said yeah that’s normal & could take as long as antidepressants to work. If 2nd dose like this, I’m done

This person was very helpful for me. She is funny and I enjoyed her explanations about the treatments and her suggestions were very helpful stuff for me, especially relaxing and going with the flow. Now, I've had good experiences and positive results. I'm looking forward to the permanent results that will happen. Not just a temporary fix...I have waited too long for an answer for PTSD and depression. Now, I feel I deserve it after for almost 80 years! Don't give up and ask for help at the facility you're attending. Don't settle for the bare minimum. It's too expensive for that!!!

    Do you have any suggestions on getting your insurance to cover it? Mine won’t at this time. I did get a medical necessity exception but ultimately it is subject to my out of pocket coverage (which I think is 6-7k). At $800 per session that’s another rent payment. For the first month. For many, myself included, that’s beyond my means and financial stress probably won’t help the treatment.

      Hello, friend! I'm sorry to hear that your insurance is being such an insurance company and not wanting to cover a life changing and saving treatment. Unfortunately, I don't know much about convincing them to cover it because my provider takes are of all of that for me. I'd suggest first finding out why they're not wanting to cover it (have you not met certain requirements yet?). Second, I'd look for a provider who will argue on your behalf to have them cover it. That's what mine has to do!

It just seems to drip back out, and it makes me sneeze a lot! It feels terrible, like I have got water up my nose for jumping into a pool. • @nicepeopletalk
      @nicepeopletalk  Год назад +1

      Hi Matthew!
      I totally understand your worries about it being a nasal spray - they can really be the pits, and it sounds like you really do have trouble taking them.
      First, I would recommend talking to your provider about it to see what they recommend.
      Second, it's really not a lot of nasal spray at all. I'm sure that if you could just tilt your head back and pinch your nose shut after each spray until your sneezing fit is over, it should be fine.
      Third, it does kinda burn a little bit...nothing like getting water up your nose, but you certainly know you've sprayed something up there!
      One thing you might consider trying is practicing with this stuff called Xlear (X-Clear). It's a saline nasal spray with a few different formulas, but you'd want the one you can use as much as you want. There's WAY more spray in each dose of Xlear than there is with Spravato. So, if you can get accustomed to it or even just practice and figure out how to best manage your sneezing fits while taking it, you should be good!
      I'll post a link to Xlear to help you find it. If you're in the US, you can find it at virtually any pharmacy (Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, grocery stores) and amazon.
      I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
      🙃

    • @nicepeopletalk
      @nicepeopletalk  Год назад +1

      Here's an Amazon link to the formula you'd want (for reference). www.amazon.com/Xlear-Nasal-Spray-Sinus-Relief/dp/B000M4W2E6/ref=asc_df_B000M4W2E6/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309802573355&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12339327408238981285&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033304&hvtargid=pla-423769149002&psc=1
      You'll know it's the right one if the directions on the back of the bottle say:
      "Use preventatively AS OFTEN AS NEEDED to cleanse nasal passages and sinuses."
      Oh yeah - it's going to clean the heck out of your nasal passages, so be prepared for that!

    A question for all American members; I’m just asking out of curiosity: how much is an average medical insurance plan in USD?
    Where I’m from, Sweden, we have universal healthcare (as well as universal/free schools and universities at all levels; personally, I went to law school, and, when I think about it, we actually get paid to go to school starting in primary school up and through university level/post-grad - a couple of hundred dollars a month in the form of a kind of financial “student support”) so there is an annual cap on healthcare at approximately $150 and approximately $200 for meds. However, we have a pretty hard tax pressure which is how all of this is financed so basically, it’s just another way how the costs are financed/distributed.
    All my love to all of you out there, struggling with depression. ❤️
    … I can only wish that you give ketamine a shot!

    • @nicepeopletalk

      Oh gosh....I don't think there's an "average" cost for health insurance in the States. If you're very low income, you might qualify for free, basic health insurance through the state in which you reside. For everyone else, I've heard of people paying anywhere from $150-$900/mo for their health insurance plan, and that's NOT including the out-of-pocket costs and deductibles. Most Americans can't afford health insurance, and I believe the last figure I heard is that 41% of Americans have medical debt. It's ridiculous!
      P.S. - I've been thinking about moving to Sweden for years. :)

And if you’re actually have been thinking about moving to Sweden; maybe this could be a sort of trial/combined vacation. I’ve seen all your videos and.. I feel *extremely confident* that we would get along really well. And your boyfriend is obviously also welcome and, hey, I am actually *dead serious* about what I am saying here. I began Spravato while on immediate release Wellbutrin. I noticed a difference the first treatment! Then the second! It was like the clouds were lifting and life felt worth living again. My provider (not the doc in charge of administering my Spravato) changed my Wellbutrin to sustained release which she’d been told repeatedly that I cannot take since I have an ileostomy and my body doesn’t absorb the same way. I had no idea since I didn’t check behind her. I trusted our previous convos and reassurance that she understood. Long story bearable my body was not absorbing the Wellbutrin and lo and behold I stopped responding to Spravato. I went through withdrawal for a month. Still taking Spravato and advancing to the second phase of once a week. I complained of brain zap side effects (classic sign of antidepressant withdrawal), SI resurfacing and no health care provider bothered to look into things. I figured it out myself after going further into despair and they had to ask my insurance company to allow the first 4 week induction phase to be started again. I’m no longer responding the same way despite being back on the proper formulation of Wellbutrin for my body. It’s sad and scary to have lost response.

      Many people get depression/anxiety after using cannabis. I personally know one girl, who had mild depression, then tried Marijuana and became very depressed and now uses AD. Don't ever use drugs! It is not a joke that doctors don't allow marijuana, just in very few cases and it is not even depression!

    I've been doing spravato 2 years in December, I sit in a recliner and do everything myself, sometimes another patient is on the other side of a screen, no tech. What state are you in?

    Glad someone with a brain and some "years maturity" is doing well prepared videos on this...I'm searching now for an economic version to try. Can't afford Manhattan pricing....not even close.

    Spravato works best when used by people who have a satisfactory life style. I.E. Have good friends, a good job, and a sex partner.
    If your life sucks and have experiences that depress you. We can assume that "Nice People" has these. If she did not, an attempt to "turn off" depression by just taking a pill would not work.

    I just wanted to send some ❤ love ❤ your way for this series of videos; what you’re doing is extremely important and helpful! I am personally a huge believer in ketamine after 15 years of depression and countless attempts with different medications and therapy, without any success until coming across ketamine. My profession is law but I am actually seriously considering to devote my life to working with ketamine therapy now! I knew about the substance since way back, but when Provato showed up on the market, my research intensified and led to, what I would like to call, self-medication with it. This is definitely something that I cannot recommend people to just throw themselves into - show respect for ketamine! It’s not a toy. But; with the right set of knowledge and scientific approach, alternatively the help from professionals; I am confident that this is the closest to the holy Grail of a cure for depression that we have come to find in modern time.
    Even though I’m an atheist; God bless you. ❤ From the bottom of my heart!
    Best wishes, and promise to take care of yourself, from Sweden. 🇸🇪

    My dear, ! Ketamine has been around for years and its legal in many countries over the counter. The US or its doctors are charging a fortune for a drug that is extremely cheap.....Just step over into other countries and ketamine is so easy to get and to use at a fraction of the price...

    • @nicepeopletalk
      @nicepeopletalk  10 месяцев назад +2

      While I agree that pharmaceuticals unjustifiably cost Americans a fortune, it also costs a great deal (if not more) to travel to a different country to receive medical treatment. Also, Spravato (esketamine) isn't quite Ketamine, so there's that.
      I get where you're coming from, though!

    I don't want take antidepressants any more, i want take only spravato, can i?

    • @rossimarti
      @rossimarti Год назад +1

      You can, but other antidepressants work on other neurotransmitters. Spravato does not replace norepinephrine, seratonin, or dopamine drugs. Sure, a small number of people may *only* need glutamate therapy-so only Spravato/esketamine would be singularly effective on its own. Depression usually is not that simple because deficiencies in one neurotransmitter could lead to deficiencies in another, so it’s about achieving multivariable “balance” for the patient.
