  • The second video in a collection over the next few months. From August 2021 to May 2022 I almost completely stopped training (The longest gap I've had in over 10 years). This series is an honest reflection of my attempts to rekindle the fire, and progress beyond my level prior to several years of injury.

    Note/
Towards the end of the video, I talk of lowering "what you want to do" down to the level you are at. Just want to make it clear I am not saying people should not have high difficulty goals far beyond the their level. These are very effective when used in combination with short term goals to create a lot of progress. My point is more about the act of "finding" new challenges within your spots that both challenge you and are a safe route for injury recovery. These over time can help to develop and build more long term goals, and reduce the short term frustration by giving you more motivating and achievable challenges.

Love this series Angus! I’ve never even considered the frustration gap before it makes so much sense. I can imagine this is why a lot of people lose motivation
