- The built-in blind on our sliding glass door stopped working. Built in blinds are sealed within panes of glass, and when they fail, you need to re-engage the magnetic system that raises and lowers the blinds. Bob shows you how to fix your blinds, without having to break your door or call a repair man.

Ditto, ours had been broken (would only open/close, but they couldn't be raised) for 1-2 years as well. I feel dumb for not looking here until yesterday! 😳

Just fixed mine after months of breaking. Mine would lower halway then only lower more on one side. It took a little more working it up and down but it finally engaged and lowered all the way down on both sides and is working now!! Thank you so much!!

Thank you sir! I had this happen just a few minutes ago, my blind would partially go up and then slip. I raised the slider all the way up and gave it a little pressure and heard the click. and it's back to working! As other's have said your a life saver. First time a RUclips Video has helped me so quickly.

Thank you so much. We had to buy a new window to our front door 2 years ago. The twine were broken. Since then we are so careful with opening and closing the blind. Today I came home after work, just wanted to open it, and now the handle just slipped down and did not work anymore. I found your video and I was able to fix it before my husband came home. :) I was so happy, as I felt really bad we have to buy a new one again???? So I just proudly told him I fixed it.

Amazing. I looked all over my window to figure out how to take it apart to fix the blind. Couldn't see anything. Sat down and watched this 2 minute youtube video then walked down to my window and did what he said. Took 30 seconds to fix.

Thank god! I never knew these existed until we bought this house 4 months ago and the other day it popped off somehow and I was so pissed! I had no clue how this worked until I caught one of the magnets with the slider. When I went to open them again, it just slipped back off and the blinds dropped. We were so mad. I had no idea there were 2 magnets you had to reconnect. Now it works like a charm. Thanks!

OH MY GOSH, thank you so much this worked. I only had the one magnet at the very top and did what you said it worked. I like to open my blinds completely to the top and figured we’d just live with it never being able to slide the blinds up again. Easy fix, so happy.

Fantastic fix, I thought the blinds were controlled by strings and they had broken. Your video let me fix the problem in less than a minute. I did notice that our controller has some resistance which may have caused the initial problem, so I lubricated it with WD40 and figure that by reducing the resistance the cause of the problem may be eliminated. Thanks again!!!!
I had a contractor doing some major home renovations and was going to see if he could fix this as well. I assumed the frame had to be popped open or something. I'm glad I found this video!
