WHEN I STARTED WATCHING THIS CHANNEL I WAS MAKING $14 an hour. Learned a lot from him and all his advices. I remember one phrase he said, “always show up with good attitude” if you tryna learn. Now I’m making $29. Went from day porter to maintenance technician to Maintenance Mechanic to Operating Engineer. 👍 Thank you Thank you!!!🙏
Hey. Love your videos. First maintenance job. Here in palm harbor. Former fdny paramedic for 18 years. Started here about 1 1/2 years ago. Going well. Suggestion on comfortable and durable work shoes? 428 unit property. Lots of moving. Thanks again
Just found this video/channel. Can you just replace the indoor glass if it broke/shattered or does the whole section need replacing? The blinds still work but the glass is gone and shards of glass are still stuck in the edges of the frame.
My outer pane shattered from a rock, tempered glass, right? Can I have a glass shop cut me a new pane and take the door apart and replace the outer pane? Thinking of vacuuming the glass ice to prevent damage to the blind. What are your thoughts?
I have been offered to be a Building Maintenance Tech by one of my buddy’s companies. Contemplating taking it. I asked him how much experience I needed he said none, and that work orders were relatively easy. If the situation is assessed and a bigger trades person is needed they are called. Regardless don’t know how confident I am to start without any prior experience. Anyone with advice or maybe experience with my concern. How easy can this job be on some particular days and how easy would it be to start catching on to more advanced work orders that may need more experienced workers like Plumbing, HVAC, and Carpentry?
I didn't know the difference between a flat head and phillips head screwdriver when I started. I think you'll do great! Watch RUclips videos on what you'd like to learn and be a sponge. It's like swimming. We can read all the books and watch all the videos about swimming but we'll never really know how to do it until we jump in the pool. Thank you so much for watching! Hope this helps!
As long as you are willing to learn, I say go for it. I didn't know anything when I started and I learned so much by watching Lex's videos along with some others along the way. Also as long as you have someone who will teach you and help guide you when you need help, I definitely owe my knowledge to the guys at work that helped me every time I needed it. You will never stop learning no matter how long you're in this industry. Added bonus, you'll also know how to fix everything in your own home as well.
Can these be turned around? Like if it is set on a left hand swing door but you need it to be a right hand swing door so the magnet slide is on the inside of the house, can that be done?
Hey we switched the left swing door and make it a right swing and now we have a problem with the blinds being outside, it was too late when my husband realized that the blinds was outside. We’re looking for a solution to fix it. It just doesn’t make sense right now.

I like my Sketchers. Been wearing Sketcher sneakers for years.
I second on the Sketchers. Nice soft memory foam sneakers are great when walking around all day.

On the style of blind in this video, it's a block and can't be changed like that. I'm not sure what style you've got.
Good little vid with great info ... Thx Lex ...
Good to hear from you Eddy!
Thank you for the info ! So helpful
You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching!

Very useful information.
Thank you so much for watching!
They need to make those blinds more serviceable or use longer lasting string. Alot of wasted glass on those.
So true! Once they go, that's it. Thank you so much for watching Chris!
Thanks for pointing out the screws..ZipZip! Thanks again

You would need to buy one for a right and swing door or turn a left hand swing one upside down. Thank you so much for watching!

BROtein shake! Good to see you and another good vid
Right on! Thank you so much for watching!
How much does each window cost roughly?
I don't remember. I'm sure Google can answer that better than I can.
I didn't even know these existed
They're pretty cool. A waste of a lot of glass if they break but still cool when residents can't touch them and tear them up.
