Al, this pistol is made in Turkey by a company called Derya. They make a good number of tactical shotguns and another 9mm called the Derya DY9. Both the Melik and the DY9 are imported by Ria/Armscor. I have the DY9 and it is a terrific pistol for less than $300. Love your reviews.

I am continuously impressed by the Turkish and Philippino cloners. CNC machinery has made it possible to build smaller runs of complex designs without an enormous investment in tooling and machinery.
I predict we are gonna see some truly awesome stuff coming out of Istanbul & Manila when this industry matures and they start building original designs.
Many good products from there.

Al it's a Beretfa 92 FS clone. PT would be Taurus. I've broken one of the two down that I bought, completely down and it literally seems to be an exact replica of the Beretta 92 FS. Thank you for doing the shooting video I tried but I failed. I don't have the open landed freedom that some of you guys have, I have to go to a public range and it really puts a hamper on things. I'm gonna share this with my viewer's they will ppreciate it. Thank you sir and as always nice shooting.

COOL! $349?! A used Beretta 92fs is usually $599 or more at my local pawnshops.

I've never been disappointed with anything made by RIA. Everything they make works right out of the box. You don't have to pay a gunsmith $200 to make it work like you do with a Colt or Kimber.
I just bought one a few weeks back and I love mine. A really fun gun to shoot, and a super crisp single action break. I can't see why anyone would want to pay double for a Beretta when you can get one of these. Good job Derya and RIA! 😉

Nice, nice, nice. That is another one to put on the wish list. The biggest selling point for me is that it doesn't have the rail system on the frame. I much prefer the sleek look.

on the web they go from 300 for a basic and about 400 for two tone with wood grips

Recently purchase one. Good pistol. Packs a kick. Eat all ammo so far. Kinda of heavy but not five pounds. I really like it.

I practically own. About 100 firearms. In Rock Island alone 5. I do love me some Rock Island. I have 6 firearms on my concealed carry permit here in California. and 2 out of 6 are Rock Island and the 92fs is number 3 on my concealed carry permit. Great video. My brother. God bless

I just picked one up a few days ago, love it, and the quality is amazing. Rock Island armory is just the importer. These are made in turkey by Derya.
RIA also makes weapons, 1911s, revolvers and shotguns. They were acquired by Armscor, but they absolutely make and contract out different builds.
We are also in Jacksonville, Florida now.

Just picked one up, beatiful pistol. Been wanting to pick up the Beretta but didn’t want to drop $750 on a pistol I wouldn’t be carrying a lot. Found this for $299 on Black Friday and couldn’t help myself lol. Nice video sir!

I bought one and liked it so much I bough two more for the safe since they were $250 each, about two months ago. People are talking about swapping springs but I think this thing is right on the money out of the box, if you just want to shoot it and work on it. I saw one two bad reviews out of the many out there, I inspected mine in and out and couldn't find a major flaw. I know they will jump in price soon for this quality. Anyhow, great video many thanks!

they thought that about the girsan 92 which has a better locking lug set up than beretta but you are right time will tell whether it will stand up

Good review of a great gun. Got mine for under 3 benjamins out the door. 200 flawless rounds down the pipe with mild recoil. I also had the Taurus 92 and the Regard 92 but they were inferior to the Melik. Also had the original Beretta 92FS and it failed after 4 rounds brand new. Beretta replaced several parts and it worked by never had confidence in it. 500 years of mediocrity. Better than Beretta 92 for half the price.

I just picked up the RIA Mapp 9MM-$299... Sweet gun.
Five POUNDS???? Holy Jayzus!! Is it made of Gold?!? Then finished in black???
It actually weighs 34 ounces. The manual says 5 lbs. 5 oz. Go figure. After reviewing the video. I said to myself that weighs as much as my 308 rifle that can’t be right. The 2 tone with wooden grips is sharp looking also. RIA is importing them from Derya out of Turkey. Their High Power clone is nice also at a good savings. Take care & stay dry if you can. 🌂 👍🙏🇺🇸☕️

It's not quite made by Rock Island Armory/ Armscor. It was made by Derya which is Turkish along with their DY9 striker fired handgun. Really good guns when I got to shoot them for the first time.
I own 2 Rock Island handguns and both of them are highly reliable. One is their .45 1911 clone and the other is a .38 revolver. The 1911 is by my bed and the .38 is in my car. Looks like I'm shopping for another one...

once again a 92 everyone can afford and the melik is turkish for king wish beretta would realize we like an affordable 92 with a choice between a 92FS or Vertex and does not cost an arm and a leg but seams they do not want to listen we now have great copys that are not pricey enjoy

@@TheWalkWithAl so many of the manuals with these cheaper guns have bogus info. I damaged a gun by trying to follow a manual for a Turkish shotgun, which also had incorrect information.
Man I have been looking at those at Palmetto for 299.99, compared to 600 to 800 for a M9... 🤷🤷
