I work at the customer service desk at Lowe's and we have a similar response from angry customers that will say "I'm going to shop at Home Depot" (which in kinda makes sense since Home Depot is just around the corner) and my response is always "ok have a nice day". My favorite part is the shocked look on their face after I say that. Honestly the thought going through my head when they say stupid shit like that is go ahead shop at Home Depot, don't let me stop you. Good luck finding someone to help you while you're there.

@@LukeMcGuireoides I think he was sitting in someone else's seat. Or maybe I'm just being naive thinking movie theaters wouldn't give a shit if a customer sat in an empty seat other than their own, especially one next to it
I once accidentally showed up way too early to meet my friends for lunch at a restaurant by our mall, so I decided to see a movie to pass the time. It was early afternoon on a Tuesday, so I was the only person seeing the movie, some horror movie. I'm sitting there chilling, I have the whole theater to myself and somehow I still managed to locate and sit in the seat I MYSELF HAD CHOSEN when buying my ticket - this asshole CHOSE his seat, if this was an AMC. I was about an hour into the movie when a strange man walked right into the empty theater and sat down directly beside me. It was dark and I was alone and I started feeling scared, so I went to find an employee and explained that the man hadn't done anything wrong, it was just really WEIRD that he'd walked into an empty theater showing a movie that had started an hour ago and sat down right next to the ONE other person sitting alone in a huge, empty theater. The employee went to speak to him, he hadn't even bought a ticket, but when the employee said they needed to call mall security he absolutely lost his shit and started screaming and flailing, and they called the cops who found zip ties and a screwdriver in his pockets before taking my statement. Those theater employees definitely saved my life, I hope this asshole loses his job and everything else he loves. It's the only way entitled people will learn.
I literally work in a theater and this scenario is a pretty common occurrence. The sheer amount of people who cant comprehend how reserved seats/ assigned seating works is baffling
especially these days, even before covid....you selected/reserved your seats online and knew exactly what seat you'd be in, like a concert i was trying to think of anytime I've been an asshole like this, and the only time was when i yelled "fuck you" out my window at a homeless guy for jay-walking while i was trying to drive through a green light
Yeah... I work at a fast food place, and I've been working there for roughly 2 years. I've seen some "Karens" but i've also seen some decent customers. 1 Karen complained about "false advertising." Get this, we ran out of some sodas, so we temporarily switched to selling bottled sodas. Well, because of that, and we didn't post a sign or anything to let people know it's coming from a bottle, she goes nuts about it.
As someone who works in a cinema, this happens constantly. People who come in just seem to get annoyed at the most trivial stuff and like to take it out on the staff. We have had so many members of staff in tears because of entitled customers feeling the need to shout at workers over something as trivial as not sitting in the right seat. It’s ridiculously common.
I get that there’s some asshole customers out there but I’ve never understood how a customer can bring someone to tears. Like they’re an asshole, why would u take anything they say to you seriously. It’s not like it’s someone who’s opinion you value like a family member or something.
He's not the one acting like a child. The person who obviously told the cinema staff about him being ONE SEAT away from his owned assigned seat, in a seemingly empty cinema, is the child. Sit in the chair next to it and move the fuck on. One seat spot won't make a difference. Instead, they've gone out of their way to complain and make an otherwise chill guy angry over something that didn't need to be complained about. Imagine he did move and then you're sitting next to him after that bullshit. Cinema experience ruined, purely because that person believed incorrect cinema seating assignments are a goddamn criminal offence. Harden the fuck up

The funny part is how he brings up the fact that "it's only one seat away" in his own retort argument. It's what people are telling him. Self awareness has hit an all time low.
It's not that they are not aware or confused, it's this man mind set that he is privileged to sit anywhere he feels fit despite the obvious seating order. That's the problem with these types. He went as far as demanding a free soda for his "inconvinience". This is so strange to me. Where I’m from, you don’t get assigned seats for movie theaters. Where I’m from you buy a ticket, walk into the theater room, and you pick your own spot. I was ringing this guy up, and I forgot to add his purchase to his rewards account so he'll get points. Now the guy was very understanding, shit happens, but his girlfriend went off on me. I tried explaining that they could take their receipt and have the points added at guest services, but she just started screaming and calling me an retarded asshole (yes, really). Now keep in mind, this was opening weekend of Avengers Endgame, and I had already seen the movie at an employee screening. When their food was ready, I had to deliver it to the girlfriend because her man was using the restroom. I said "Enjoy your meal, and enjoy your show. Especially when Iron Man dies." Remember to always respect your local movie theater staff. Because we watch your favorite movies before you do, and we will spoil the fuck out of it.

When I went to see The Batman in theaters a nice couple took me and my gfs seats and we just moved down didn’t say anything. The couple in our seats were the worst movie goers I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing a theater with. Both of them screaming throughout the movie and having loud conversations with one another the whole time. Can’t wait for the movie to be put on HBO so I can actually watch it 😎

@@wiiplaya25 We ended up just moving to other seats and not bothering with it, I figured they'd stop after previews but nope. Once they kept doing it after the movie started we had to move, didn't want to say anything myself simply because I wanted to watch the movie. 10/10 would recommend btw
Beta af.
Just tell them To fuck off from your seat lol
@shizukasky9923 You tell ‘em tough guy!
This is so strange to me. Where I’m from, you don’t get assigned seats for movie theaters.
Where I’m from you buy a ticket, walk into the theater room, and you pick your own spot.
For movies that have been out for a while there’s at most 10 people for 100 chairs
For a brand new, really popular movie on the first couple of days is about 50 people to 100 chairs. That’s as crowded as it gets.
“I still think I’m being the bigger person here” yes, you are 100% bigger than the rest of the people in the theatre combined.

Bless the woman just doing her job and trying to get him out of the theatre. She is the angel of the story
As a former movie theater usher, I've never had to deal with this on the floor. The worst I've probably had to deal with was someone who refused to turn off their phone, and I had them removed without much of a struggle.
Concessions, on the other hand, was the absolute fucking worst. God help any poor soul scheduled for concessions, especially during the weekends of a blockbuster release like a Marvel or Disney movie. Some of the worst, most deplorable, rude, and entitled people you'll ever encounter at the movies.
One time, I was working concessions on opening weekend of Avengers Endgame, biggest and busiest weekend I had ever worked since Infinity War. Especially when Iron Man dies."
Remember to always respect your local movie theater staff. Because we watch your favorite movies before you do, and we will spoil the fuck out of it.
Big deal, learn how to do your job and maybe accept that when you mess up you can take some flack. You wasted the time of those people, and you being mad that they were mad is pathetic. Apologize when you fuck up and move on with your life.

First of all, that gf sucks and I hope the guy left her, anyone her goes off for something as small as that will probably hurt someone over something big, second, do theatre employee’s really get a special screening? And good thing you spoiled it for her
@@itsnoloveduh8924 It really depends on where you work. I was working for a local theater chain at the time and usually we would have employee screenings at midnight the night before they would premiere to the public.
