Would appreciate an updated advice video someday if you still play this game. I've read tons of resources and guides as well as just have some RPG common sense. But a lot of and what I should be doing/am doing in each phase (early/mid/late) was a little unclear to me besides VERY EARLY game. Especially since this is the first mobile game other than Dragalia Lost I've gotten into hardcore and actually decided to stick to (RIP FGO). The grinding is a bit Disgaea tier not gonna lie. As I get closer to midgame I've found myself getting lost what to do next, so this has helped me a lot in regards to a clear path of progression I should be taking. Thanks for making that less of an indecisive fuckfest and give me a clearer direction to take other than general advice or "just playing lul". Good taste in music, and likely games/franchises btw, I know like 90% of the tracks and games you used for this video.

NGL, Gacha games with actual stories (so everyone excluding AL) will leave you scarred. F/GO will if you actually managed to get past Camelot, which I can't seem to do.
I mean, tbh all 5 members of the AR squad are pretty legit, STAR and Cinnamon are obviously amazing, but Jack Daniels is great for efficient leveling your dolls through corpse drag methods (which is about the only option to level relatively fast unless you're a "European player" omegalul), Sop is a hyper qt and pretty much the best general use grenadier in the game, and Megaphone is basically the best main tank SMG in the game not named ThotMP45, so yeah, the lesson here is don't sleep on the freebie guns, cause they're pretty damn great
Ar team are perhaps some of the best tdolls, especially with neural upgrade they go up to lvl 120 and the formation buff is really strong, m4 buffs ally ARs she also increases her attk and so does st ar15, I would place them with two smgs and three of the ar team m4 is a must.
protip some of the lolis are op. You'll just have to make due until you get your army of ara ara onee sans. Just make sure the police aren't around when you have to use them. So don't dismantle them. *And definitly don't let them take more than 50% damage.*

So a few notes on fairies (which was missed): 1) Fairy Enhancement effects their talent activation rate (RNG % skill that has a 20-100% chance of triggering depending on skill and fairy star value). It also happens MUCH faster if you use the same type of fairy or at least the same talent. And by much faster I mean at a visible rate. It's 10 EXP for any fairy, +90 if same type and +50 if same talent. 2) Fairies IMHO are NOT a luxury and IMHO are better to throw your resources at than Heavy T-Doll production at first. Not only are fairy recipes between 1/12 to 1/3rd the price of SG recipies they also have something like 33% drop rate at 1 contract/2 core (which is at least ~3x higher than SGs). So for every one SG you can TRY to make you can probably attempt 8+ fairies which will almost always net you one if not 2-3. TLDR for every SG you TRY to make you will probably make 2-3 actual fairies.

One correction about logistics: Great Chance Success in logistics is determined by the average level of your echelon, not just the leader. Leader level is significant only for what logistic missions you can do (min level req on leader). That said, not all logistics require full 5 doll echelons, so 2x 100 echelon would get better chance of great success than 2x 100 + 3x 50 due to the average level being high with just 2 max level dolls.
One important thing to mention about Dorms, is that more Dorms, and higher comfort Dorms will give you more batteries each battery collection cycle, so if you are serious on grinding batteries, dorms and furniture are really worth it. In addition, every Dorm gives you a buffer of 80 batteries, so at 10 dorms, your daily battery collector can hold up to 800.
this somewhat do not apply to f2p players though. You want atleast 6 squads unlock (7 is ideal)first if you want to be efficient on farming resources and cores. 6 squads because 4 for logistics and 2 for corpse dragging. And if you have 7 you can do auto battle as well to farm equipment in night battles.

Don't stress too much about it. Outside of events, the game's not too hard. The gacha is free, and there aren't many limited -servants- T-dolls you need to worry about. If you play for long enough, you'll get most of the important ones.

Exploration farming for cores and combat reports is what I do. Logistics operations are my best friend. As for data room, I prioritized the machines that increased my surplus xp, and surplus xp storage. I use all-around teams, which consist of one of every gun type.
Okay this is probs a few months late but all gamecenter does is save all ur game data via apple id so when u login to ur apple id on a different device, ur game data will transfer to that device as well as being on the original device... basically saves data and tranfers it for iphone
I'd say infrastructure is more important than Oath rings cuz of the removal of pure logistical inconveniences due to lack of free slots or echelons at ur disposal. Priority would be Slots(as many as needed at current time)>Echelon(6 is bare minimum for efficiency 8~10 for full minmax)>Dorm(Battery)>Oath(especially for 100+ dolls)>slots for Equip/Fairy(as needed)>1 repair slot cuz its cheap and allows for full squad repair.
The hearts get collected automatically. I started playing the game a few months ago, logged in for the first time today (level 8) and got the achievement for reaching 100 affection with 5 t-dolls.
I haven't even finished chapter 3 of the story and my main echelon is around lvl 80, with a combat effectiveness of 15k. This shows how incredibly meticulous and pedantic strategy games make me. Also my tip for new players (if there even is anyone reading this) is: dont bother trying to complete missions with S rank, you can do it all later, there's even guides online. Being so obsessed with gold medals and failing to get them because my team wasn't strong enough is what made me go on hiatus for so much time even though I love the game. TL;DR don't try so hard to get everything perfect at once, the game won't punish you for going at your own pace.
Trying so hard to beat this event as a new player. Got through part 1 with little problem, but the armored units in 2-1 are kicking my ass so hard right now.

tbh my main beef with this game is how boring the initial grind for your first echelon is, like since starting ive quit and picked up this game a number of times and if not for WA2000s verbal abuse id probably stopped for the final time and joined the degens on facebook trash talking this game
Personal tips: Plan to level either AR-15 or M4 (not sopmod because HK-416 is one of the most common 5* ARs and basically serves the same role as sopmod but better) and ignore the rest of the AR team until you get atleast one echelon of 5 links completed. Because you can construct these rifles, they cost a fuck ton to link. Use a MG (preferably 2-3*) in your AR-SMG team to carry you through the game until you get M4 or AR-15, after that ditch it for either gun. The reason is that MGs can usually kill all enemies in one volley up until this point. Because most of your guns should only be around lvl 30-40 or so, where you can still use small amounts (30 or so) of combat data to boost M4 or AR-15 up to the same level. MGs are disgustingly powerful early game (they remain good throughout the game (though they become resource heavy), but they are particularly abusable at earlier stages) AR-SMGs remain pretty consistent throughout the game, but they struggle with certain later enemy unit comps HG-RFs are the holy grail of nightbattles and boss fights, but really only shine if the RoF buffing HGs are fully linked. Basically it’s a pain in the ass to level them up in the early game, so it’s recommended to either use combat data or separate leveling. Also, the only night battle speqs that really matter right now are AR-15’s, M16’s, and Springfield’s (maybe MP5’s if u really need an evasion tank for corpse dragging or something)
your tips are fine but ignoring sopmod isn't a good idea. she does a bit less grenade damage than 416 but she gives an evasion buff, which 416 doesn't do, and she gets a neural upgrade later that makes her outright better in every way. i agree that M4 and AR-15 take priority, but leveling sop, especially for dragging 0-2 and having her ready for neural upgrade at lvl 100 is definitely the way to go.
z3ke Ofc, 5 linking sop eventually is always a good idea, but because 416 is so common in production, she is basicly a more economic sop and will be easier to 5 link without using too many cores, which I think is very important for a first team.
@@immort4730 I know where you're coming from but you're still missing the point. Sure you save cores but the overall team buffering sop comes better. Especially with that neural upgrade soon. Id rather take a evasion three buff then a single 40% damage buff tile that's only useful if you have vector because of her grenade.
this may sound like a stupid question but is this a game with interesting characters or just "pretty waifus". its a reason why i find myself so into fate grand order as it as a neat story structure and interesting characters to back up said story. not that much into games that just throw mass amounts of characters and waifus at you without context to properly digest.
if you like grimdark shit where the main punchline is "to make things even worse" this could be a story you'd like and to be fair FGO's story structure only has a small core roster of story-relevant characters while servants are usually one and done in terms of singularities they show up in, not to mention there are plenty of Servants who don't really have a proper/serious story involvement other than joke events where they're introduced or put in because there's nowhere else where they'd show up. In all honesty if you're trying to judge this game off the criteria of "games that just throw mass amounts of characters and waifus at you without context to properly digest" I'd question why you're playing FGO. Play GFL yourself to see if you like the story, and if you don't you can decide whether or not you want to continue.

i've been playing this game for 3 years now, and i think this is one of the best phone games! this game is kind of that dont give a shit if you want invest or not (but i did spent some for the god damn cloths that never comes up) never p2w, epic music especially on the summer or winter events , super epic story line , these are the 3 shining points of this game. only complain, dont know what to do after you finished all the stories when there is no events, and some times i want to invest,but there is nothing i can invest with _(:з)∠)_

Not only are fairy recipes between 1/12 to 1/3rd the price of SG recipies they also have something like 33% drop rate at 1 contract/2 core (which is at least ~3x higher than SGs). So for every one SG you can TRY to make you can probably attempt 8+ fairies which will almost always net you one if not 2-3. TLDR for every SG you TRY to make you will probably make 2-3 actual fairies.

One correction about logistics: Great Chance Success in logistics is determined by the average level of your echelon, not just the leader. Leader level is significant only for what logistic missions you can do (min level req on leader). That said, not all logistics require full 5 doll echelons, so 2x 100 echelon would get better chance of great success than 2x 100 + 3x 50 due to the average level being high with just 2 max level dolls.

One important thing to mention about Dorms, is that more Dorms, and higher comfort Dorms will give you more batteries each battery collection cycle, so if you are serious on grinding batteries, dorms and furniture are really worth it.
In addition, every Dorm gives you a buffer of 80 batteries, so at 10 dorms, your daily battery collector can hold up to 800.

And for new F2P/small fish players, use that trickle of tokens from dailies on the Radiant Collection gacha to get a stack of furniture on the cheap.

You want atleast 6 squads unlock (7 is ideal)first if you want to be efficient on farming resources and cores. 6 squads because 4 for logistics and 2 for corpse dragging. And if you have 7 you can do auto battle as well to farm equipment in night battles.

Battle simplification gets rid of particle effects on battles, i.e. smoke grenades, molotovs, and misses. They still take effevt you just don't see em

Don't stress too much about it. Outside of events, the game's not too hard. The gacha is free, and there aren't many limited -servants- T-dolls you need to worry about. If you play for long enough, you'll get most of the important ones.

Exploration farming for cores and combat reports is what I do. Logistics operations are my best friend. As for data room, I prioritized the machines that increased my surplus xp, and surplus xp storage. I use all-around teams, which consist of one of every gun type.

Okay this is probs a few months late but all gamecenter does is save all ur game data via apple id so when u login to ur apple id on a different device, ur game data will transfer to that device as well as being on the original device... basically saves data and tranfers it for iphone
I'd say infrastructure is more important than Oath rings cuz of the removal of pure logistical inconveniences due to lack of free slots or echelons at ur disposal. Priority would be Slots(as many as needed at current time)>Echelon(6 is bare minimum for efficiency 8~10 for full minmax)>Dorm(Battery)>Oath(especially for 100+ dolls)>slots for Equip/Fairy(as needed)>1 repair slot cuz its cheap and allows for full squad repair.

I haven't even finished chapter 3 of the story and my main echelon is around lvl 80, with a combat effectiveness of 15k. This shows how incredibly meticulous and pedantic strategy games make me.
Also my tip for new players (if there even is anyone reading this) is: dont bother trying to complete missions with S rank, you can do it all later, there's even guides online. Being so obsessed with gold medals and failing to get them because my team wasn't strong enough is what made me go on hiatus for so much time even though I love the game.
TL;DR don't try so hard to get everything perfect at once, the game won't punish you for going at your own pace.
Getting an S rank gives 10 gems per level cleared, so... you should at least get those gems so you can buy another echelon space or doll space

tbh my main beef with this game is how boring the initial grind for your first echelon is, like since starting ive quit and picked up this game a number of times and if not for WA2000s verbal abuse id probably stopped for the final time and joined the degens on facebook trash talking this game

Personal tips:
Plan to level either AR-15 or M4 (not sopmod because HK-416 is one of the most common 5* ARs and basically serves the same role as sopmod but better) and ignore the rest of the AR team until you get atleast one echelon of 5 links completed. Because you can construct these rifles, they cost a fuck ton to link.
Use a MG (preferably 2-3*) in your AR-SMG team to carry you through the game until you get M4 or AR-15, after that ditch it for either gun. The reason is that MGs can usually kill all enemies in one volley up until this point. Because most of your guns should only be around lvl 30-40 or so, where you can still use small amounts (30 or so) of combat data to boost M4 or AR-15 up to the same level.
MGs are disgustingly powerful early game (they remain good throughout the game (though they become resource heavy), but they are particularly abusable at earlier stages)
AR-SMGs remain pretty consistent throughout the game, but they struggle with certain later enemy unit comps
HG-RFs are the holy grail of nightbattles and boss fights, but really only shine if the RoF buffing HGs are fully linked. Basically it’s a pain in the ass to level them up in the early game, so it’s recommended to either use combat data or separate leveling.
Also, the only night battle speqs that really matter right now are AR-15’s, M16’s, and Springfield’s (maybe MP5’s if u really need an evasion tank for corpse dragging or something)
your tips are fine but ignoring sopmod isn't a good idea. she does a bit less grenade damage than 416 but she gives an evasion buff, which 416 doesn't do, and she gets a neural upgrade later that makes her outright better in every way. i agree that M4 and AR-15 take priority, but leveling sop, especially for dragging 0-2 and having her ready for neural upgrade at lvl 100 is definitely the way to go.
z3ke Ofc, 5 linking sop eventually is always a good idea, but because 416 is so common in production, she is basicly a more economic sop and will be easier to 5 link without using too many cores, which I think is very important for a first team.
@@immort4730 I know where you're coming from but you're still missing the point. Sure you save cores but the overall team buffering sop comes better. Especially with that neural upgrade soon. Id rather take a evasion three buff then a single 40% damage buff tile that's only useful if you have vector because of her grenade.

this may sound like a stupid question but is this a game with interesting characters or just "pretty waifus". its a reason why i find myself so into fate grand order as it as a neat story structure and interesting characters to back up said story. not that much into games that just throw mass amounts of characters and waifus at you without context to properly digest.
if you like grimdark shit where the main punchline is "to make things even worse" this could be a story you'd like
and to be fair FGO's story structure only has a small core roster of story-relevant characters while servants are usually one and done in terms of singularities they show up in, not to mention there are plenty of Servants who don't really have a proper/serious story involvement other than joke events where they're introduced or put in because there's nowhere else where they'd show up. In all honesty if you're trying to judge this game off the criteria of "games that just throw mass amounts of characters and waifus at you without context to properly digest" I'd question why you're playing FGO. Play GFL yourself to see if you like the story, and if you don't you can decide whether or not you want to continue.
Personally I liked GFL’s story more than FGO’s but if you can’t stand high levels of edge, then you might like the skip button more.
