I completely agree with the fact they should've split the whole volume into two parts to include ALL tie-ins. doesn't feel like a complete edition without every tie-in
I just bought this omni and I really want the full story, like the FULL full story, so could you possibly catalog all the missing tie-in issues and where they go in the story?
Thanks man! Wish I had time though to do a bit of a story overview but that wouldve been over 30 minutes and I would have lost people half way through the video.
The book itself looks gorgeous and I love that artwork. I've already got the GJ GL omnis 1-3 and the Brightest Day omni so I am most definitely getting this one. It does look like its a bit of a monster though and I would have preferred 2 volumes. Thanks as always for your stunning overview. Looking forward to your next one.

I bought this baby about a year ago, for 80 bux. Have not opened it yet, since I'm reading the digital editions of the whole event. What a great story!!
Just found your channel and it's amazing! I recently got back into comic books and appreciate your work a lot. I believe they didn't make these two volumes is because they suspect customers who've already purchased the three volumes of Geoff John's Green Lantern run wouldn't be thrilled about having to buy two more. Still, I tempted to purchase this for myself and am only holding out because I'm trying to catch up on past stories. I will hopefully get around to this one day since this was my favorite DC event back when I was reading regularly. Love your channel keep up the great work!
Thank so much for the extremely positive feedback! I’m trying to focus each video on specific stories/runs and how readers can get into them... This year is going to expand into Marvel & Image Collected Editions.
Thanks man!!!! I'm glad you are happy and got on the train! As much as I love collecting floppies... Nothing beats having the book on the shelf and easy access to.
Just getting into this and have to agree this is an excellent review. I hate the really thick books for all the reasons stated and agree that splitting it into two smaller books would have been better. For that reason, I'm collecting the standard hardcover editions for my own collection.
great review as always think imma be picking up the tpbs from amazon, $150 is 😬 and imo, 1000 pages is more than enough for an omni. i'd prolly get it if it was two volumes but imma pass on this one

I just bought the paperback of The Blackest Night Should I buy Black Lantern Corps Volume 1 + 2 Green Lantern Corps Green Lantern Tales of the Corps Rise of the Black Lanterns As Ebay has them all for pretty good prices?
Great review and you made this very tempting. But I might need to reluctantly pass. I have limited shelf space left and I would rather finish collecting the Green Lantern by Johns Omnibus's instead which at least covers the main event.
Great video. I've got the 3 omnis but tempted to get this. I cant recall the page count on the infinite crisis 10 year ani omnibus but this one looks about the same size.
Wow. Their reading order is really different than the one I personally constructed. Given that, plus the gutter loss, plus missing some of the tie ins, it kind of makes makes me want to collect the trades and do a multi-volume custom bind instead. Might have to try out their reading order on my own first though.
@@BladePocok Well, I haven't double checked this for inconsistencies, it's missing some of the tie-ins and it's based on the hardcovers/trades. My question is: the omnibus contains content that isn't in the absolute, is this extra stuff worth reading? Is it worth buying the omnibus and selling my absolute just to read the extra tie in material?
Hi! The GL omnibus only collects Blackest Night 0-8, GL 43-52, an extract of Untold Tales of the Blackest Night as well Untold Tales of the Blackest Night. When you look at all the trades then it would really be all except for the main TPB and the Blackest Night: Green Lantern TPB. Hi! Check my Instagram feed... I mainly pick up Marvel books here and there in single issues... currently reading Daredevil, Spider-Man Life Story , Immortal Hulk and Friendly Neighborhood. I’ll eventually drop some Marvel Collected Edition reviews on this channel... I have some in mind for books I never read in floppies.
Eduardo Vega I thought so too initially but at least with my copy it’s not typically lifting higher. Fingers crossed that Grant Morrison Batman Vol. 2 wont suffer this production defect.
Unfortunately the gutter loss makes this a pass for me. Real shame cause it would've been great to read the story in chronological order without having to jump between tradebacks. Should've been a two volume collection.
If you want to prevent gutter loss then see "How to open an omnibus" by Gem Mint Collectibles. ( ruclips.net/video/CxnjiucGoiU/видео.html )His method works wonders. I bought the Blackest Night omni last week and It seems it's gonna hold fine. They have improved the binding. or see this ruclips.net/video/Qpq1E6WLFSE/видео.html
Come on, tie ins aren't that big of a deal. Sure you will miss out on somethings, but nothing major at all. If an omni has gutter loss or shitty binding, then is not worth it. Get the main story alone and call it a day
Wtf? This huge omni still doesn’t cover ALL the tie ins?? It’s the second largest omnibus for a major event. You’d think they’d have everything in here or a volume 2

Titans Vol. 2 #15
Everyone here hating the fact that the book so huge but I think its super cool haha
A lot of it has to do with how you opened up the omnibus you didn't really stretch out the spine
Well, they need to leave something for the 20th anniversary edition...
Guess you're an entire DC fan? Do you like Marvel or other publishers?
I think the spine just needs time to stretch
They have improved the binding. or see this ruclips.net/video/Qpq1E6WLFSE/видео.html
also see this ruclips.net/video/_leHJzCwcnk/видео.html (here the guy talks about the quality of Blackest Night omni's binding)
