As a child in the early 1960's living in central New Jersey I heard many sonic booms from the jets flying out of Lakehurst Naval Air Station and McGuire Air Force Base, it shook the big picture window in the living room. Ironically the name of the development I grew up in was named Sky Manor.

no its not. decibals go up exponentially, doubling with each db. for example 76dB is twice as loud as 75. the difference between 75 and 80 is astounding, and 150dB from conventional supersonic boom is completely out of scope. you wouldnt even be able to see 75 dB in the same graph.
