She comes to school everyday in a bmw car with full on AC and attends classes she got selected for jee adv with 47 percentile while me with 88.98 I did not get as I am a general category.. One can never get rid of a wound by constantly poking it, this cast system is a roting wound , it can only be treated by either applying ointment (a cover up with a hope that it gradually heals and here reservation is ointment) or if the wound is persistent we need to scrape out the roten flesh and need to wait for its healing (here rotten flesh is the cast system) and there is no third way you can never heal it by rejecting ointment as its giving burning sensation and also rejecting dressing.

Lol, It was inevitable. Everyone just wants the CSE branch be it any IITs, because most of the JEE aspirants are interested in the CSE branch, Ha! No! It is the "CRORE" that they are interested in ( atleast that's the most of the case ), that's why these incidents happen.
Now, everyone talks about the reservation ( for SC/ST ) factor, but no one talks about who is genuinely interested is which field. I mean there are A LOT of JEE aspirants who opt for CS/IT in the 11th 12th Class out of interest in CS/IT and do really well in these subjects and can do extremely well in future in CS/IT if given they get into a good college, but Guess What ? JEE ( PCM ) rejects more than half of these aspirations, and those who do well in PCM gets into CSE branches lol. What about those who couldn't do well in PCM but are very good in CS/IT and definitely can do better? Nobody cares about them.
NTA should introduce a special exam ( only for CSE brach ) which would test the aspirants on Computer Science and Mathematics, then It'll be clear who should really be admitted in the CSE branch.

Guys tech is the most powerful tool right now and after your CSE you will be making things that gonna change this whole world , and since everyone is going for IT Jobs in India , so in 4-5 years there will be a lot of rush and half of the IT jobs will be done by AI so if you want to do something big go for CS , build cool projects, generate some revenues , build products that help humanity with all your programming skills you have ! and AGAIN COLLEGE DOESN'T MATTER just try to build a network with right people and industry leaders . In top 7 iits if you are getting any branch, you can get placed in approx 80 percent of top coding companies, im saying this because im from IITR, placed at 24 lpa from mechanical branch, many people also got placed in microsoft, amzon like companies from my branch.
Also many more companies visit top 7 iits compared to nits, so wvn a non cse student gets to sit in these rare companies, for example HFTs which pay crores also allow non cse students.
Also some companies like Goldman sachs, jpmc, etc pay more in iits compared to nits, so tag matters here😅
In my opinion, if you are getting cse in top 5 nits, then you can prefer nits, or in IiitA or iiitH then you can go there else choose a "top 7 ranked IIT".

Is It A Wise Choice Of Going Into A Research Field In An Era Where CSE Group Is Leading ? Like Astrophysics Or Particle Physics?

There is huge scope for research in computer science as well, if you want to research in physics try to get into foreign universities than India

how can anybody study subjects like PCM and opt for CSE is college? I mean it really doesn't make any sense that a person who never had switched on a computer is studying CS just because he is good in any other subject other than CS. (I am not defaming anybody here, I'm just telling you the harsh truth)
This is like, if you like "biriyani", then you must eat "chole bhature"...
Government should provide jobs in all sectors, so that people can choose any other branches for studying.

This is becoz of low packages of other branches only cse gives high package why will a middle class go for branch with low package
And no. Of seats are very less wrt population
And the hype of IIT tag other colleges should improve education quality so that state college student will get quality education

    1. I am from IIT Bombay, I don't know but some students don't think properly.
1st reason is completely wage, even if he is in textile. he can do any course from CS department do minor, do IDDDP, take placement in software profile.
    Its just an example.
But overall video is so informative for you guys. Thanks

I think the best thing would be that in first year in all IITs and NITs the students get selected not in the basis of branch and then they would make them understand about every branch in first year and then they should have an entrance test for all branches so that they should get categorise not on the basis of quota but on the basis of their understanding of the branch in the first year...

This happened with me also, making me feel that I could have utilised the time spent in college in a much better way somewhere else. However, a few years later, I realised that the Computer Science curriculum varies a lot across colleges.
If you are getting an alternative seat in a college with CS level very close to IITs (such as NIT, IIIT etc.), you can join it. If not, join some IIT anyways, and learn to develop applications through online courses. That is still better than spending 4 years in learning syntaxes, commands, definitions etc. instead of practical development, making you far below the minimum industrial standards.
