Grass Is Greener on the Other Side: Return Migration of Indian Engineers and Scientists in Academia
This article focuses on why academic engineers and scientists from developing countries leave developed countries to return to their countries of birth. Data for this study comes from a National Science Foundation-funded study with 83 engineers and scientists who returned to India after study and work in U.S. universities. Better career prospects in India namely ample funding available for research, less competition for grants, ability to work on theoretical topics, and freedom in research objectives emerged as the key factors that prompted return. These findings, therefore, differ with return migration of industrial engineers and scientists who moved back primarily to start companies in India and immigration challenges in the United States. With very little scholarly work on return migration of academic engineers and scientists, this study expands the understanding of high skilled migration in a globalized world.
Global DE-DOLLARIZATION. BRICS to kick out US dollar, use national currencies instead>petro-dollar will cease>interests on loans in ths US will touch 11 %... soon US will become another EUROPE with 1% GDP growth.... AN OPPORTUNIST WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND IT THOUGH

That's why students abroad aren't bothered to give entrance exams but they are keen on research and development in the world. India should need to learn from this, especially from the education minister and professors.

Studying in top universities won't make anyone a great researcher or job professional she/ he has to work on it . Satya , Indira and santanu Narayanan or venkataraman ramakrishna wasn't from any iit . Many iitians who claim to the founders are mostly copy paste products of USA , even they struggle to make profit inspite of huge funding. Many iitians were interested in coming out of the country before 90s as the jobs were quite low but nowaday iitians are staying in india. The obsession of USA or studying abroad very high in india especially i am from Hyderabad i just see a lot telugu people obsessed with USA

I wished to have such a video back when i started on this path in 2013 but none existed.
It’s important to differentiate between a marketing material, opinions and an information material.
Videos we see from official channels of colleges, programs etc are marketing material.
Review and reaction videos are opinions.
Information videos are rare and tough to make and need extensive research and interviews. Something which you clearly did either for this video or just overtime with your experience.

During this preparation, students aren't given the time to develop such skills, which are utterly necessary. One more I'd like to add is the essentiality of social and emotional skills which we fail to build as well.
I think it's important to improve ourselves from all aspects and not just studies. It is good to score all those ranks and grades, but only up till a certain limit, we should never make it our lives and base everything on that. But unfortunately, we are judged on the basis of that so much so that some people commit the unthinkable.

Being cse student at IIT Bombay doesn’t allow you to have edge over everyone , it’s just overated ness

First of all the per capita income of US and UK is much much higher than that of India, so parents neither force their kids to get mesmerized by alluring packages that people get in corporates nor they need to do it. Also I think those people don't face cut throat competition and they are free to choose what they want to...
In India per capita is less and you know about inequality level right? So the thing is , so somebody who have resources, they don't bother doing research and making world a better place. And somebody who actually is research oriented will face less resources issue. So they will be bound to prepare for corporates in an early age.

If you want to go abroad then just focus on SATs and Board-level studies along with extra-curriculars, then you can start applying during 12th after giving SATs, then go for a major in CS and minor in Entrepreneurship in a good uni.

I think in next few years going abroad for studying would be considered as a waste of hard earned money of your parents and our precious time and efforts. Clearly trend is going to change and people would start moving to India for their higher studies. Few key reasons are mentioned below-
    1. High Speed Internet is available all across India
    2. Companies are paying much better package to domestic employees like 50 LPA to greater than 1 cr package is very common now a days even for non IIT and non IIM students
    3. Cost of living is much lower in India
    4. India is developing its infrastructure at large scale either expressways, electricity, internet, banking services etc..
    5. Indian economy is growing much more faster speed compare to so called developed 😂 countries
    6. Weather in India is thousand time better than Europe and US
    7. Living with your family and friends is a feeling and satisfaction which is priceless
    8. Online technologies have already reduced the physical distance.
    9. We have few problems in India but if you would compare them with the problems you have to face in Europe or us then you’d conclude living in your own country, with family and friends, which is 3rd largest economy of the world and 3rd mightiest military power of the world is way ahead better to live alone in an unknown foreign country 😇😇

      5. Indias development is faster than so called developed countries because they are preety much at the peak of developement and there is not much room left for developement but still they are developing. Heard about the Amazon store that doesn't need workers? That's example of innovation that India can't do and usa does it before everyone else and in the coming future India will be the one to copy it
      6. India is a very big country with varying weather, where iit roorkee have cold weather and IIT Madras have a hot and humid weather, Nit Jaipur have deserty feeling where as IIT Kharagpur is situated in the rainy side of india
      7. You can make friends anywhere you go, and you can't find good university everywhere you live in india so eventually you will have to leave home and your mom for good(unless you live in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad)
      9. If you are so introvert that you will have to live alone in a foreign country then you might not be able to do much networking in your Indian college as well
      Additional points from my side
      1. You can't get the level of exposure in india that you can't get in a foreign country with students from multiple nationalities and culture
      2. Weather can vary from country to country in foreign countries too
      3. For now these countries are more developed than India and by the time india reaches their level they will be far ahead as well and you might even be alive to see it as well
