@@iladave3034 Canada mein sirf high school grades ko jyada importance diya jaata hai mostly your 10th and 12th. Extra curricular are majorly for getting scholarships. JEE I don't think will do any difference in your application as it's an Indian entrance exam. On contrary if you've qualified exams like NTSE (1st round as I've) and KVPY (1st round as I've) then it might do some difference

I prepared for IIT-JEE in 2011-2013. I mentally gave up in 2012, and ofc never got into IITs. At the end of my 11 standard, I went from being a school topper to being completely hopeless and depressed. In admist of all this, I discovered that I enjoyed learning physics, so I went on to do a BSc. Physics from Amity University in Noida, after keeping my pride aside and fighting an year long depression. Perhaps the best decision of my life, not to waste another year in the rat race and save my life bcz I was becoming suicidal with the existential crisis I had. In 2016, I graduated from Amity as second of my class and got into NIT Srinagar for my MSc. Physics after qualifying IIT-JAM. I learned more in Amity than at NIT. Neverthless, no one knew how to teach properly. No one had any happiness when teaching and talking about physics. My true inspiration came from RUclips where I watched American Professors. In 2018, I took a gap year, worked hard and took GREs, and came to the US to do my MS in Teaching, because I realized how fucked up our education system is, private or government it is all about the next rat race, and I wanted to fix it by being a teacher. I am almost done with my MS, I had assitantship for the whole 3 years, the University of Maine paid for my tuition, and I got a monthly stipend of 1700$. In fact, I even saved and bought my first car last year. Professors here have completely changed the way I understood Math and Physics, and how to teach it. I have been very happy, and I look forward to becoming a Math and Physics teacher, and then want to do my education based global non-profit startup. I am extremely happy that I didn't make it to IITs, that I followed my love for physics and then for teaching, and studied what I liked and found my own personal way to make it big, rather than becoming an engineer. My Physics teacher at Aakash Institute in Delhi used to say, "there is more to life than IITs," and he was absolutely right. I hope if you are reading this, you write your own journey and become what you truly value personally rather than finding your worth in a tag. If you will use a brand to validate your self-worth, you will never feel satisfied and always keep running. IIT, IIM, UPSC, all of these exams do so much harm to our talented pool of youngsters, who could very well go and do so much with their lives, but our dumb society and its ego games are making them sick and depressed. Please, take it easy, find what you really enjoy doing and work hard for it just for the sake of it. Learning is a rewarding process in itself. Study for excellence not success, what you have learned in these years, no can take from you. And if you ever need a real Jeetu bhaia to talk to, who actually knows how to navigate life after you don't make it to IITs, shoot me an email at anupamraj0701@gmail.com I wrote this long ass comment bcz I wish the younger me had the older me as an example.

For example, manipal, nsit, dtu, iiit hyderabad, bits pilani all campuses, and obviously nit's.Actually the new iit's are not as good as older ones. In starting he actually mention's some really harsh but true points .... And reading all the garbage comments below these guys dont have any idea whats comming for them...
I agree iit's are master institutes .. but it should be a choice or an option not the goal of life... And if u (guys from 12th and 10th) fall in the phrases from coaching institute that iit is everything that will do some serious damage to ur happy life... I agree that they provide excellent platform for star students but for others its a disturbing experience ... School study is the best coaching they will kill ur childhood and young life.... Choose wisely guys world is an open place may be ur not gud in phy, che, maths or bio but as long as u believe in yourself and can work hard u can acheive anything ... I really hope that a day will come where students from other institution will also do great and set some example for others ... This craze of iit will fade away...
All the best to u guys...

Trust your parents . They know more than you .telling this with my and many others experience . U will soon know it .99% students make it to Usa by the wealth of their parents . If your parents have not so much money then you think how they can send you abroad.see, after doing engineering ,you will land somewhere good even your cgpa is not so perfect ... But in avaition there is no option. I am not stopping you to take risk , but i rather want to say take risk when you have sometime to support you when you fail ... that what iit degree gives you. Even at iit you get a lot to explore . You can easily pursue aviation while studying at iit as flying beast did. Don't hate our system of education . The makers of this system must have thoughts far ahead as you think while framing it .

    My father is an Engineering Assistant at AIR & DDK ( Prasar Bharati). Currently posted in IT Cell of DDK Golfgreen, Kolkata. His current salary is ₹1,18,000/Month. {Would have been more agar iss saal Modi DA Nahi rokta to}
Soo Many of his colleagues are also from ITI and Polytechnic, some have B.tech, one is from IIT Kharagpur..har tarah ka hai.
The only thing Common to all is that they cracked the entrance exam conducted by Prasar Bharti.
Some joined directly as EA, whereas others as Technician & got promoted to EA through Departmental Exams & CR (like my Father).
Many also got promoted to SEA(solely based on Seniority cum Fitness) & get salary ₹1,22,000/month.
Mere Baba ka agar thoda aur Qualifications rehta, atleast graduate to wo Assistant Engineer (a Gazetted Rank) k liye exam de sakte the :-(
Khair, koi nahi, woh jahan se aate hain aur aaj tak jo kuch bhi unhone achieve kiya hai, without compromising on values and ethics; it's Incredible & Very Inspiring.
My father is the chalta firta example we hear about in motivational videos.
Paisa to bohot koi kamata hai lekin bina diplomacy-politics kiye, bina aapna morals and ethics ko halka sa v dagmagaye...sirf izzat kamana aur usse jitna paisa aata hai sirf usi me santoosht rehna sab koi nahi kar pata hai.
I AM VERY PROUD OF THE HARD EARNED HUMBLE MIDDLE CLASS LIFE THAT WE HAVE ☺️

He is from Kalyani ITI. My father wanted to study engineering but couldn't since we come from a very very poor background. He used to work in our small radio repairing shop to support family. The headmaster didn't allow Baba to sit for the Pre board Exams of Madhyamik (10th) since ₹12 school fees was due! He lost his year because of₹12!!
Actually my father was thrown out of school for those ₹12 and later he passed 10th from some different school from a relative's house. Had taken Science in HS but had to again drop out of school due to poverty.....My Bua got married zabardasti by Cong goons with her bf, her in-laws didn't accept her as we are SC, with no place to go, were living with dada-dadi only. Even in that terrible poverty jisme 2waqt ka var pet khana nahi milta tha, ek boiled aanda ko half karke 2 Jan khate the.usme bhi pehle Damad ka khana pehle arrange karte thee, uske baad kisiko chahe mile na mile...it impossible for 7members to live on ₹50 salary of Dadaji...Forget the school fees! To Baba ki school chhut gaya & he started looking for something so that he can earn at the earliest. So he joined Certificate course in ITI as back in 1980s you could get a job with technical background.
My Grandfather, though he belonged to a wealthy goldsmith family from Faridpur, Bangladesh..but Bare handedly, penniless they eloped to other side of the border.. India with his newly wed wife, my grandmother...they started life from scratch...from negative...stayed in Refugee camp for years, Did every meagre jobs, had no support no shed overhead, sold vegetables..n then managed to get a job as a peon in BSNL and raised the family with extreme hardships.
My father being the elder son of two brothers and 1sister had to take the responsibility of sustaining the family from a very tender age, class 4. So though he was a bright student but couldn't study engineering himself so unhone mere chacha ko Diploma in Civil engg. padhaya. Papa ka dimaag bohot sharp hai, his mathematical skills are very good even today..khud 12th complete nahi kiye hai but he used to guide me in Calculus and Algebra in my +2. He is a very fast learner, even today he is constantly learning something or the other to stay updated.. recently he is taking training in nano technology from NABM, BBSR.
Though in a very middle class family set-up but Today both the brothers are settled. My uncle is in South Eastern Railways, Garden Reach, Kolkata and My Baba as EA in DDK, Kol. He joined in Aakashvani Kol in 1988 and served there for the 1st 10yrs.
My uncle chose to stay in halishahar, our ancestral land, a sub urban town in WB.
And We have settled in South Kolkata.
My father has raised us quite lavishly compared to his counterparts... bachpan se lekar aaj tak kabhi v kuch maangna nahi padha...sab kuch bus aise hi mujhe aur meri behan ko mil gaya.
WE HAVE A PRIVILEGED LIFE GIFTED TO US JUST BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD, SWEAT N TOILS SHED BY BABA & DADU.
But Baba khud aaj v bohot jyada humble life lead karte hai..he still has only a handful of shirt, takes bus instead of metro to save ₹22! Sirf thoda bohot gadgets ka shaukh hai.
💚THE LIFESTYLE/SKILLS LEARNT THROUGH EXTREME POVERTY STAYS WITH YOU FOREVER.
YOU ALWAYS HAVE A MINIMALISTIC LIFESTYLE AND NO DEMANDS, NO FASCINATION... JUST THE BASIC NEEDS & YOU ARE DONE.
And though this may sound like bragging, asole I am but my father is so skilled and has such expertise that he is professionally very sought after & famous in his department. His colleagues call him "BISWAKARMA"🌟 since his tenure in Aakashvani 😄 He has more than 12 Outstanding CR reports 😊
Unhone hume wo sabkuch diya joo kabhi unhe nahi mila tha. I am an aspiring Doctor, didn't join BDS this year, preparing for Neet few months after. My sister is studying fashion designing from Nift. So basically humlogo ko bina maange sabkuch mila hai but I never took this for granted.
The inspiration I get from Baba, the character he carved in by living through extreme poverty is just amazing! I hope I can strive to be the daughter he will be proud of someday, exactly the way my Grandparents are proud of him. Though they are no more today but the legacy Of their Struggle, Strength and Sacrifices Lives On.
I just want to be a great human being and a good doctor, Not someone settled in Delhi/London but working in Govt hospitals in Rural Bengal.
Coming from extreme poverty and hardships has carved the finest human being out of him. I want to be exactly like him.
My father knows every thing...from Stitching 👗👖Clothes, to🔨🔧 Masonry, to ⛏️🌾Farming, repairing ☂️, to️ Cobbler 👞work, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical & Electronics, painting, raising livestock🐔🐐🐫 walls, Mechanical job... LITERALLY EVERYTHING! Paisa [ Bachane + Kamane ] ke liye sab kuch karna seekh gaye.😊
AJ TAK HUMARE GHAR ME KAVI V BAHAR SE KOI MISTRY NAHI AATA...😊 Sab kaam Baba karte hai. 👊
💛❤️💚THOUGH HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY GREAT EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (infact much below normal) BUT THE LIFE SKILLS HE ACQUIRED, HIS TENDENCY TO LEARN FROM EVERYTHING & EVER DOWN TO EARTH HUMBLE PRAGMATIC APPROACH
MAKES HIM THE MOST SUCCESSFUL HUMAN BEING I HAVE EVER SEEN. HE IS MY IDOL 😊

Agreed with the points you stated. However, my coaching scenario is different. So here in FIITJEE, they do explain the derivations and stuff and explain concepts. Teachers are IITians so they know how IITs work and they don't have the "IIT nahi to kuch nahi attitude" at all. They mostly motivate us that there are things in life other than IIT, and a few days ago, our physics teacher told us how you will explore different fields of life when you actually start with your college life cuz right now we are stressed out because of managing school and coaching.

Preparing for IIT-Jee not only lasts till the exam it shows but it's brings your true potential from inside. How to handle pressure how to handle downfalls how to enjoy success and lots more. I suggest every non medical should take IIT-JEE just to see his/her true potential. Cause not very often in life one gets to discover the true potential within and IITJee is indeed I way.

Love your videos man. But I must say I had the exact opposite experience Coaching class (VMC) was like amazing for me taught me the foundational concepts very well and gave amazing life advice as well but school teaching was not good. Also I'm that guy that does all the assignments and rest of the class copies from me.😅

U r right all the coaching institutes in India r of the same type. But sadly in our school all teachers r only tuition oriented. They don’t teach well and don’t even clear our doubts.

This is possible that you get a job there in US, then it becomes so easy
