I guessed 1968 (Andretti !), but it's 1970. Five years later, at Zandvoort, watching (most of) them competing with Lauda, Hunt, Ickx, van Lennep and Lafitte ... fond memories as an 8-y-old.
I'd give 1978 class a shout. Gilles, Piquet, Arnoux, Pironi, Keke Rosberg and a couple of others were pretty good. Honourable mentions go to 1991 (Schumacher, Hakkinen, Zanardi) and 2001 (Kimi, Alonso, Montoya). If we're talking outright mass of wins and championships, then 2007 (Hamilton, Kovalainen, Vettel) is worth a mention. 157 wins and 11 championships.
The 1970 field was so much bigger than the unusually small line-up of 1969, that there were inevitably a whole bunch of rookies in 1970 (including some future racing legends)...
It's really nice to see the appreciation for Peterson's 1973 season; I mean, 9 poles in a season is amazing, he really could've had a shot at that title
It really is a shame that we don’t have more race winners today. Since 2011 two teams have dominated for such long periods at a time and also dominated by such a margin that there’s a lot of talent out there not getting a win at all. While there’s records being broken left right and centre by those in super dominant and reliable cars. Not having a pop at those drivers breaking the records as you have to be at the top to get a top drive. But with the performance gap and reliability we’re just not getting the mix of winners we should be. Can’t blame RB or Merc for being good. Suppose it’s the rest that need to do more
@marguskiis7711 Safety car tax is the problem with it tbh. Doing a George Russell and going long waiting for safety cars instead of racing but at least he admitted it tbf, I'll give him respect for that.

Love the stylized background for Copersucar.
Plus, sideburns overload.
Emmo might be my favorite racer ever ffs this guy had it all, skill, style, and insanity to drive these boxes with rocket engines strapped to them
Haha, he was good racing almost into his 50s
I saw Rolf Stommelen at the 6 hour race at Watkins Glen in the late 70's . He was such a good driver.
Good work Nedzo, well researched, well put together! A job well done!
Thanks mate

I mentioned all of those last three, although I completely missed 1978 (although Gilles did a good chunk of 1977)

He was fantastic
2001 and 2007 top music and top Formula 1 rookie classes 🔥🔥
Yep
Whoa what track is that @12:22
Montlhery, an oval/road course
It was also used for the BPR Global GT series in 1994.

And then 4 banger races with 3 winners happened
Hmm...yep, that bit of script was just as dodgy as promised!🎉
But I enjoyed your story more than enough to subscribe. Cheers from Canberra.
Norris is the most likely to win the world championship out of the three drivers
Must say don't know know 2
Norris, Russell, Albon kinda underarchived kinda ..... maybe Norris will be better after his win ...what do you think ?
That’s very possible
victims of Verstappen era.
Unpopular opinion but Norris did not deserve to win last week; he's still Lando No Wins to me but I was still happy for him.
@@saiyerugara9038 what is the problem with his victory?
