That Rudbeckia.. Oh my! Just gorgeous
Love all the gardens but the vegetable garden is one of my favorite.
Fantastic tour Danielle 🏆🥇❣️ Bravo Penn State & Master Gardeners 👏🌻💫
Hello Barbara
This was such a relaxing tour. Thank you for taking the time to show us this gorgeous place.
I was a Master Gardener here in North Carolina. We have the JC Raulston Arboretum and Plants Delights for amazing inspiration.
I have interplanted pumpkins, peanuts, tomatoes, onions & herbs in with my flowers.
What a joy, I think the first native garden, and the last meadow were my faves. Thanks for bringing us along.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing!🥰
Wow! Thank you for the wonderful tour. I loved it! Such incredible creativity and community in the garden.

Such a wonderful tour. Thank you Danielle for sharing this with us 💚 wonderful work by all
What a great tour! The variety of plants and styles give me inspiration. Ideas for several areas of my yard.
Beautiful garden
Absolutely gorgeous garden. I love all the different garden rooms. I wish we had more public gardens in my area
This is yet another excellent garden tour. Thanks so much and please keep up the GREAT work.
This was wonderful tour! love the veg garden and butterfly garden. How pretty it was all put together. Thank you for the tour👍💕
Thank you for the tour, gorgeous gardens. I think my favorite was the butterfly garden.
I LOVE petunias.
Lovely gardens
So beautiful Nicole. I too would be practically in tears. I love all the gardens, and seeing the vegetables mixed with the colorful flowers. I like the look of a cottage garden, and also appreciate the natives.
That was awesome! I don’t think I’d be able to leave that place! So stunning. I like all the gardens but that vegetable garden was really inspiring. I like how they had it all separated by bricks and rocks. Just so cool. We don’t have anything like that in our area that I know of. We do have the Naples Botanical Garden though. I live in zone 10a. Thank you for taking us along! That was definitely inspiring!
Oh my goodness, what beautiful and inspiring gardens. Thank you for sharing these wonderful spaces with us, Danielle. Here in my hometown, we have the University of Kentucky Arboretum, the state botanical garden of Kentucky. Within its borders are over 1200 native species of plants, trees and shrubs. Among the many separate gardens are the herb, vegetable, rose, fruit and nut, fragrance, children’s garden, perennial collection, ground covers and the All-American Selection Trial Garden and others. It’s been a while since I visited there; you have inspired me to go back soon! 💚
I love the petunias! Reminds me of my childhood. My Parent's always had them and now that they're gone I'm especially holding on to everything that reminds me of them. I especially love the supertunia. No more deadheading and always full of flowers. My hummingbird loves em too
Thank you so much for this wonderful garden tour. It was very inspiring and I love that it is open to the public. Lots of great ideas.
I loved this tour especially the native plant garden. All the gardens/rooms were beautiful and well laid out. Great ideas for the home gardener.
Loved this.
Oh my, I will be re-watching this garden tour over & over in the cold winter months for beauty & inspiration. Thank you so very much for taking us along!! Incredible.
Thanks so much for taking us on this tour! My grandfather showed my mother how to make the Comfrey tea. Worked wonders but P U!
Those tall sages, like the Berrgarten, also root easily in seed starterr mix.Thank you for the beautiful tour.
Thanks for the tour. Well done!
Hello Mary

Hello Marian
Such a wonderful place to go to. I wish there was someplace close to where I live that I could go to. Thank you for the tour.
Hello! Thank you for very wonderful stroll! Beautiful garden! Your videos are inspiring! I wish you and your loved ones a good day and good mood💐❤️🌻
Thank you for the tour Danielle. I loved everything, but I especially loved the little tea set on the table. So inviting! A designated butterfly garden is something I’d love to add into my garden. We’re fortunate to have the Utah State University Botanical gardens in our community.
Beautiful. I have started a butterfly garden in mid-spring.
How wonderful!! I would went for becoming a master gardener years ago if we had something as nice in this area.
Fabulous ❤️
Thanks for the tour and great ideas!
what a treat....thank you so very much. if i had this within 40 miles of me i would be there often. i miss this kind of personal adventure. on the fence over petunias. keep changing my mind. lol.
👍Thank you for sharing 謝謝🙏beautiful garden 💖💕I love it❤️
Beautiful garden. Very enjoyable to watch. You're a great tour guide
How beautiful! I never even thought of a university having a large garden that is open to the public! I’m going to research what might be in my area!
What a charming garden💖 🦋 I just love that they label the plants! I’m always wanting to learn what plants are. What a blessing to the community 😍 This summer I went to visit friends in Bellevue Washington. We visited the Bellevue botanical garden and it was so beautiful. Open from dawn to dusk also, free to the public. I highly recommend it💕🌸🌿
Wow !! Very nice views, Beautiful flowers😍😘
Wow what an amazing resource. It would be so helpful to spend time learning about all the plants and how they look in different stages of growth. It would be helpful in creating in your own space. I love the styles of variety and natural free flowing garden but well kept to focus on the individual plants as well. Thanks for so much inspiration!!!
What a fantastic place!! Thanks for the tour... and yes, I'm growing Ptilotus Joey (from seed) in my garden this year - I learned that its an Australian wildflower called Mulla Mulla... and if it survives the outback, it can survive in my low water garden in the PNW! So far, it's doing okay but we've had so much rain this year that it's struggling in some areas of the garden as Ptilotus loves heat and hate wet feet - our upcoming heatwave this week should make them happy... I love its pokey little blooms! And I do like scented petunias, they smell lovely in the evening - but I don't grow them myself..
OMGOSH !!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING !!!! ABSOLUTELY stunning, breathtaking and beautiful !!! Wish I lived close ! Petunias ??? I love the wave petunias. Daylilies ??? LOVE !!!!!
Love the butterfly garden. Love the Native gardening concept and will try to create a garden when I get back from vacation. I am new to gardening altogether, but watching you and others I have a great start. Thanks so much. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing this with us! I had no idea Penn State had these public gardens. So cool to see! If you ever do another tour, I’d love to see a close up of some of the more detailed signs.
Wow, thank you so much for this tour. What a beautiful place to be at. I live in VA, and definitely would like to visit.
Parabéns ,beauriful!!!obrigado por mais um vídeo 🙏💝
Wow! Love it. Thanks for sharing. My favorites: best feel = natives, best look = butterfly, best surprise = the themed garden (a pizza garden!), best for dreaming: the trial gardens
Wonderful gardening. Great share dear, have a great weekend
Thank you, its beautiful. Also, noticed your hat! Go Hokies!! VT has a beautiful gardens.
Thank you for this tour!! I’ve watched it multiple times to get inspiration for my own garden.. Love to see it in different seasons too if you happen to be there again. It’s so beautiful ❤
So much inspiration! Love the mix of veggies, herbs and flowers. So well done! Would love to see more in-depth native plants plus enjoyed comparing the different Rudbeckia varieties. Would love to see more of the trials (different echinacea for instance. Such content would be great to show in early spring when not much else is happening beyond dreaming about the start of the gardening season).
I think petunias suit a purpose, but they aren’t particularly interesting flowers. Daylilies can look messy but they do provide nice color in the heat of July. Inspired by your video to add more liatris.
Absolutely beautiful! I live an hour away. Guess where I’m going next week? PLUS If you go on a Friday, green dragon farmer’s market is a couple miles away. One of the best in the area.
Thanks for sharing, I loved everything Can’t wait to go❤️
Amei esse jardim onde tudo é compartilhado: flores e público. Incentivar mais pessoas a ter um jardim.Obrigada.
Wow ! Beautiful place
Hello dreama
Amazing garden! Thank you for sharing and bringing awareness of such an amazing public free resource. Wish I could visit. Will definitely look out for such a resource in my local area. Thank you and all the master gardeners for your public service to help keep the garden look gorgeous!
💮I'm in the loving petunias camp. 😃 🏵 Great video and happy gardening!👩🌾
I love the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Gardens at Elm Bank in Wellesley, MA. There is a fee to get in but it's worth it! Beautiful gardens as well as Test Gardens. Always changing month to month with the wide variety of plants.
So beautiful and informative. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
Hello there
NExt time my daughter horse shows in PA I’m going to check out this dream garden.🌸💕🌸
What a beautiful place! Thanks for sharing. I am definitely going to plan a visit very soon.
Hello there
Those are beautiful, well organized and well kept gardens. I hope more people in your area are able to visit them. It's great to have markers that tell about the plants too. I enjoyed them all but found the Potege garden a great example of how to combine vegetables and flowers. Haven't grown petunias in quite a few years, they are Ok but but not very useful for cut flowers.
I enjoyed this video of this fabulous garden tour when you first posted it in July, but here I am enjoying it for a second time in February while my zone 3/4 garden is hibernating under snow. I do like daylilies, but I only like dark purple petunias when in containers with other annuals in a wide range of purples, and then set in amongst bright marigolds. Thanks for creating a video that keeps on giving! 🙏🏻
Oh my, what a treat! I totally agree with you that these gardens and ideas are very relatable to any gardener. I’ve heard about this place for a couple of years and now I’ve got to get there! Thanks so much Danielle for sharing this and thanks for helping to keep the gardens looking so beautiful 😍
Hello Taylor
Beautiful
I'm watching from Beautiful Agency Iowa. Your garden is fantastic. Nice volunteers come in and weed, good job. Love the butterfly 🦋 💕 garden.
Petunias? Not a fan but try to be every year due to eye-catching & improved varieties. I think they feel too much like municipal plantings to me. Oh!!! Those trial gardens leave me speechless! What a place to wander and plan in! Of course the butterfly garden in full bloom is a delight. I wonder how it looks through the season's succession. TY for the introduction, Danielle. Enjoyed every minute!
That was an inspiration!
Danielle, thanks for giving us a tour of the Penn State Research Farm and Flower trial gardens. I've never had the pleasure of visiting there but would love to do that someday. I love going to any University Gardens and Arboretums that I find when traveling. They are inspiring places to visit and to plan your vacation around if you love gardening as much as I do. As per your question about petunias, well, to be perfectly honest, I don't really like them, and I'm not sure why, but I don't. I hope you're having a lovely week! ~Margie 🦋💚🌞
I didn't care for petunias much until I saw how prolific and abundant the blooms are in the Proven Winners line. It changed my mind! The colors are so vibrant!
Walters gardens in Zeeland Michigan, is a few miles from my home. They have a large garden area trialing proven winners' flowers & shrubs. I usually go in August to see the new plants for next year! ( It is not as extensive as the garden tour you did today).
I like impatients more than petunias, thank you I enjoyed the tour. Looked it up on the map…a couple states away but could be worth the drive.
Thank you sooooooooooooo much!!!
Wonderful! And only two hours away from me. I so appreciate all the field trips that you share with us. Fordhook Farm, the Burpee trial gardens in Doylestown, is local to me but they’re only occasionally open to the public. I was able to visit a few years ago and it was beautiful and very inspiring.
Awesome beautiful scenery
The petunia question is so good - in the 70s my granny would let me choose a market pack of petunias every spring - I always chose the striped ones, some years red, some years purple. As a gardener, they are not my favorites but....a big container, on the deck, of Proven Winners petunias (any color, but black cherry and Bordeaux are my favorites) is unbeatable. I no longer buy the market packs that granny did but I still grow a pot every single year, and always remember the excitement I had in choosing them and remember her. ***Side note - buying PW petunias also made me a convert on a lot of plants, spending the extra money on PW product is sometimes completely worth it.
Great gardens, thank you Danielle for showing them to us. It makes my heart happy that there are gardeners that volunteer to make this world a little more beautiful one garden at time. I love the fact that there are so many native flowers that support wildlife. As for petunias, they are not my favorite, they are water hogs and need too much fertilizer which is not good for your soil, and they are useless for the pollinators. I grow less and less every year and really looking forward to times when there are none in my garden. Also the new varieties are prolific and they are good if you need to fill an area quickly, but they really are not playing well with other flowers, they are way too aggressive and choke every other plant if you plant them with something else. And they are too commercial looking too! There, I said it!😁
