Hi Gang! I'm glad everyone found this vid favorable. I wanted to add a note. I created this vid specifically for leaders (guys mainly). Ladies, if you've got a partner and this move feels kinda wild when you guys execute it, let him watch it with you. 90% of what's done on the floor is engineered by the leader. Hopefully this vid can help to take some of the fear out of the leader's head and give him better Floorcraft. Thank you for your continued support!
Smooth my brother, I just started urban ballroom about a week ago, I have been doing classic ballroom over 10 years and I am really enjoying it. My favorite in classic ballroom is smooth and urban ballroom fits in my wheel house. I am glad to find your videos because it has helped me tremendously in the way you give instructions. ✌
Of course you can do it! This is one of the easiest and most fun dances to learn for women and partners! Hope to join u on the dance floor one day! Very sorry about the late response; I didn't realize people were actually watching/reading my post, lol. Thank you very much for your support!
Your instruction is easy to follow, and you make the steps flow smoothly Seve. I'm glad I found this channel. My wife and I plan to learn how to Detroit-Style Ballroom dance for our 20th Anniversary next August.
Thanks! A very good demonstration of a few things to do from the basic. I love the way you talk through the steps in different ways. The triple-step / rock step is a lot like East Coast swing. Followed it all the way up to the double-pivot. Took lessons years ago and need to get back to it. If I ever need to show someone what I mean by Detroit-style Ballroom, I'll show them this.
Hey Kate, thx for the love! And yes, the triple step/rock step is actually a component of swing. In all truth, all social dances (urban or traditional) are formulated using some version of a triple step and/or a rock step. Very sorry about the late response; I didn't realize people were actually watching/reading my post, lol. Again, Thank you very much for your support!
I love the Midwest style especially the Ballroom Dancing. I'm definitely going to get this dance down!
I love this!!!! I watched this at least 20 times!!! I’m going to learn this dance…
Love Detroit style ballroom dancing.
Loved it! Ready for the next lesson!
