Got tickets for June 2013, taking my youngest daughter, she grew up with Bruce, she was 18 months when I saw him at Wembey in 1984, my grandson dances to Bruce, he knows the words to Fire, 3 generations of Bruce fans, oh my dad, loved his music too, 4, Bruce is imortal. Big Man you will never be forgotten, you were larger than life, jamming in heaven with John Lennon, send me the CD! Best wishes from UK. Sal xxx
An ocean of tears laps upon my shore then, by Grace, quietly resides as it gracefully becomes a prayer of Gratefulness. A time shall come; a space shall be filled. A saxophone will once again be heard: that sax. one unique hand shall grasp it, and music descend to unite our souls. God bless...Saxophone Man.
WOW WOW WOW..... SHIVERS ARE GOING DOWN MY SPINE ...!!!! Big Man will be loved for ever after .... Words can not describe the void the brings Clarence's passing .... he left more than a footprint into our hearts The world feels less safer place without Ceee's presence but than again ... knowing he's watching over us all does feel great !
I saw Bruce and Clarence in 1975 at the UCSB gymnasium the week that he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek. Who could know what they would become, solo and together. We will forever miss you Clarence, and this tribute is beautiful!
I was on 1978 Iloved the band and the singer and the sax, it was special. He wrote and sing 4 these that were in his country, He is Bruce Springsten ; (THE GOLDEN SAX IS No more) I still liste 2 the sax solo in ??!!
I cried when I heard of uncle Clarences passing but knowing he was a spiritual man I am sure his love shall forever be with us all. We so enjoyed his music and are grateful for his life. May you be at ease.
I have been a big fan since 1985 and have seen them live what an experience .the world goes on but it will never be the same , the world is a much quieter place now...... rest in peace big man . my bother thankyou for all the memories god bless.
I used to go to a club in Mill Valley, California: Sweetwater, What a scene, Major stars dropped in to jam and be close to a very small audience in this legendary bar, This is where I really got to know and understand this great man. Sitting 3 feet away from the enormous talent. What a privilege: what an honor. Thanks Clarence, you have earned a place as an immortal man of soul and music.
Clarence the big man. I've seen you preform in Dublin live many times, your a massive loss, I miss you man, I like that Bruce and the band remember you at every gig, your legacy will live on forever in the hearts of your fans and your music. May you rest in peace.
big man , life without you isnt the same when you joined bruce. you are sorely missed in my heart growing up listening to your horn . see you at edge of town
I saw his nephew, Jake a few weeks ago on the first show of his tour here in Boston great show. I met met Clarence in Block Island, RI back in July 1997. The night was so incredibly special to me to see Jake play his music & at the end of the night I cleary see Clarence in Jake he's that good! A two hour show simply amazing & for me a long time coming for a venue that I go into all the time! He came out 45 minutes after the show & talked to everyone & took pictures just a class act!!
Clarence Clemons was a True Musical legend. i will continue to listen to his music. " Jungleland " my favorite . You will never be forgotten " big man " Clarence Clemons.
I write this through my tears of gratitude for the talent Clarence illuminated. Thank you for posting this tribute. Perhaps I'm biased, bit I speak for millions of fans in saying this is an absolutely brilliant piece.
Wonderful tribute to an incredibly beautiful, amazingly talented & inspirational soul!! Though taken from us all too soon, I'm sure God has truly blessed, & may Clarence forever rest in peace, & look down upon us all, with that great big smile, xo!!
first heard The E Street Band being blasted out the HMV store on Regent street in London..was The Wild Innocent & E Street Shuffle.. I stopped walked in and realized music would never be the same. ( my first Springsteen LP) The E Street Band fronted by Springsteen captivated generations with the incredible sounds of the Big Man blowing the horn....RIP Clarence you were one of a kind...
they may have a new sax. player but there is only one"BIG MAN". RIP Clarence. it just shows you how much TRUE FRIENDSHIP knows no color. like they where brothers.
Brilliant video. It really gets to you. Knowing the Minister of Soul is gone, along with the Phantom. Still we have many superb albums and concerts to listen to hear that sound and revel in the genius of the E Street Band.
I wish I would have done this earlier. I guess I was not settled enough to do so. But now I want to say: Clarence, you will always be in my heart. I only hope I can keep it big enough when you fill me with all of the love and compassion you stood for. God Bless.. Greg M. Minear
I remember when I was a freshman in high school, a friend had made fun of me coz I didnt know who The Boss was, so, when they came to town I got front row tix, and When the big man was standing right in front of me, I fell in love..not only with his playin but the E Street band as well, Ive never missed one show since then when they were in St louis, I LOVE Bruce and I am so saddend...ive never cried over an artist passing away, only two, Clarence and Stevie Ray vaughn, RIP Big man, thnk U
R.I.P. Big Man, The music will not forget you. Have you had the gift of making people happy whit your music, everything will be made forever. "The land will be mild" "La terra ti sia lieve" Amico
Thank you for making this, it's beautiful. It's been slightly more than 2 years... possibly my entire adult life. Clarence was the larger that life exclamation point to Springsteen's story, the one they told together every time they stepped onto stage. I can't think of one without the other, as much as I love Bruce's music, I can't imagine his early stuff, the music that he wrote exclusively for me, without the Big Man.
When Bruce and The Big Man stood on stage together they were coming after you...Together they were going break through whatever was happening in your life and carry ya through the Darkness on the edge of Town and get your ass out of your seat. And maybe even crack a smile. Thanks Big Man you will be missed.
I have never really been able to express how much The Big Man meant to me. Bruce saved me. Clarence was there too. If it hadn't been for him, I am wondering if I would be writing this.
i am a saxophone player of only 2 months and mr clemons style of play was beautiful, it was not to fast and he stayed away from screaming and super high notes no one could really understand. he played in a tone in which the tenor saxophone was intended which was a melody making instrument.
con te se ne va una parte della mia vita...una parte buona.... ci mancherai clarence, ma la tua musica continuerà a regalarci emozioni anche se non ci sei più Grazie e saluti dall'italia
This is an excellent video good job I cried like a baby watching this though Iam mad at Bruce Springsteen for reasons I won't say on here but this is amazing video thanks for the upload
ich sage frei raus in dem ganzen auf und ab habe ich viele Musiker kennen gelernt, aber Clarence war und ist für mich der beste Sax-Player aller Zeiten.
the shame he won,t be around to see what bruce comes up with next as far as music along with danny, been a bruce fan since the early seventys 4 mos younger than bruce and like the verse says on his new album sleep well my friend our bodies will betray us in the end i miss those days hois music got me through the murder of my 17 yr old daughter
