If you think about it, Kai was the reason Damon found out who’s the true culprit in chapter 1. If he didn’t invite Damon to that game tournament he would’ve never found out that culprits trick. Plus Damon would be hella suspicious if he did not join in that tournament It’s interesting how one small minor event, one small action could alter the path of everything. Basically a butterfly effect I already like Kai before chapter 1 but now i love him.
He could’ve just asked to have them swap the bed and the couch, at least as the first deal but noooooooo The first thing he thought of was sharing the bed Suspicious 🤔
am i the only one that thinks its insane damon immediately jumped to kai posting nude photos. not even for shipping reasons that just feels like something only an old man would assume. damon must be chronically offline
I took that more as daimon secretelly having a kinda dirty mind, plus considering what he said about the calendar, maybe his search history has the answer to why he jumped to that so quickly ?😏
@@julianogueira714 after finishing the FTEs damon seems to understand the relationship an influencer and their followers have so i guess it’s that. or he just thinks it’s something kai would be doing lmao
Damn...Kai actually is best boi for Daimon, they are polar opposite in personality but it really works well and feels right like on the way to becoming true close friends
I LOVE the depiction of a social media influencer being parasocially connected with his fans, and depending on them for validation. It's so realistic, especially since he's so young and teenagers often get into controversy on the internet. It makes perfect sense!!! Also he's a cutie patootie
theres something really sweet about how the options for engaging in kai's fte get nicer each time? "help him anyway/spend time elsewhere" to "make up an excuse/walk away" to just plain "sure.../no" by the 3rd fte. like sure hes saying "should i bother engaging with him" but I think a reluctant yes is a lot nicer than like. fine lets help this guy anyway ig. and by the 4th event its just a normal "talk to kai/walk away". adding on the dialogue from the events and it really does seem like damon warms up to the guy. good for them
I truly think now that [redacted] is dead Kai is going to be our sidekick for the rest of the game, with how much they bond (however unwillingly, they still bonded) in the main story and how much screen time he got, it's really establishing a dynamic, and these free time events make you think! How much of their descriptions, likes, and dislikes were exaggerated or just plain false? Was it just Kai? If so why? And while he has his dumb moments, he is smart, you have to to be any type of content creator, he's like a Watson! Someone to explain Damon's thought process to, to explain to the audience how Damon made the connections, but smart in his own way This chapter made me absolutely fall in love with Kai Can't Wait to see more lol
These FTE's are AWESOME actually! I seriously wasn't expecting Kai's stories to have such meaningful conversations and a depressing look at how the internet can very easily ruin people's lives, but the fact that Kai acknowledges how things are, and what Cancel Culture is capable of, as well as trying to fix his problems the best way that hurts the fewest people is really interesting. I think even Damon realized this near the end, but that Ultimate Influencer title isn't lost on the guy.
Not only that... Did you realize that no one even knew the true Kai before this free time events? And that was intentional? In his free time events is reveal that everyone haves an wrong image of him.. And that wrong image carried over to the report cards... It says that he likes coffee when that's not true... That he dislikes hear wear that also isn't true (not becuse of the free time events but reveal during the actual game) that he dislike apologizing when that's how the other precive him... And also that he likes drama.. When he doesn't... Even his bio on the tweeter account and how grace describe him.. Non of that is true.. He isn't evil, he doesn't like drama.. He doesn't sent his fans to cancel those who he dislikes... All of it is how other percibe him.. Even tozu fall under this misunderstanding.. That's fascinating
When looking into media and business perspective, Kai’s Ultimate Influencer talent is really interesting since it can match to real life. With the way how real-life companies strike a deal with influencers to market the brand and people, such as brand ambassadors or content creators, they really have to stand out against their competitors while trying not to get in trouble to the public eye.
His event 2, we were so close to having damon put the ring on kai's finger LMAO. I'm getting spoon fed with their relationship so bad in this chapter I'm starting to worry if kai dies next chapter.
All these FTEs and we still don't know why his room is pink. Still, most people are sleeping on his talent - sure it LOOKS useless and sounds dumb, and Kai is justified in being scared of being killed first thing - but if Kai was actually smarter/more confident he could effectively influence the trails instead of being comedic relief. That's what being a Influencer actually entails: getting people to follow along with your opinion and agree with you not with logical arguments but with emotional appeals.
That's the thing though, he's clearly NOT supposed to be that charismatic. His whole career was effectively built off of anonymous social media marketing and creating a "chill" vibe that brands wanted to copy. His main account was just him posting esthetically pleasing pictures of himself, and starting fashion trends. And that feels like a deliberate subversion. His bio made him seem like someone who was good at manipulating the emotions of others so they'd do what he wanted, but we now know that whole thing was fake. He had absolutely no hand in his followers defending him, besides ignoring the drama. If he were good at influencing people in the way you'd think, he would've done that to stop the fighting and chang the narrative around him. But he didn't. Beause he couldn't. And this is why I'm skeptical about what to expect from this character going forward. I love Kai, but he's just an average dude. He doesn't have the skills or charisma to make him entertaining to watch in a killing game, let alone survive for long in one (outside of maybe dumb luck). What would his arc be about? Making some real life friends? Seems like a weird setting to tell that kind of story, ya know? In a killing game where it's everyone for themselves, he's going to be betrayed inevitably (and he knows that). So why bother making himself vulnerable in that way when he's content with his original online following? I genuinely can't see him not being an early game victim for these reasons. Unless they do a double subversion, and it turns out he's actually a lot more clever about using people than he lets on.
@@DLxxx I don’t really agree with every point you have said, but I don’t want to get into that. What I do want to get into is you saying he is content with his online following. That’s simply not true, at least I don’t think it is. From what I got out of his FTE’s, he is far from content with just having his following. It’s more like he has no choice but to rely on his fanbase, as it’s clear he has no friends and is completely alone. He strives to have friendships, but due to his controversial status online and popularity, he is unable to make friends. Everyone knows who he is (except for a select few who aren’t online or not online much). You could argue that he could make friends within his fanbase, but he at the very start has made that a very clear boundary that he doesn’t talk to any of his fans longer than 5 minutes (which is a smart move imo). I also don’t think it’s completely weird for a character arc to be finally creating connections outside of online. Yes, it’s going to be very much harder to make connections in a killing game, but it isn’t impossible. It is possible to both have a few people you trust but also be on guard around them. I don’t think Kai is going to have many people he trusts, he is not dumb enough to do that. I do think though he is going to make a few genuine connections with people, more specifically with Diana and Damon. He is also not completely dumb, which is evident in the trial. I personally think Kai is going to be the character that his actions cause a cascading effect on the rest of the killing game, no matter how minor they seem. For one, I think this because of his animal motif. There is a thing, that I’m sure you know of, called the Butterfly Effect. This is where someone’s actions, no matter how small, will lead to larger consequences down the road. This can also be called the Snowball Effect. One other thing on why I think this is him inviting Damon to the tournament. If he didn’t do that, Damon wouldn’t have the knowledge needed to discover Eva being the killer, and they all would have probably died. I think this is continually going to happen with Kai (probably not just with Damon too), and if he were to die, his death will have consequences in later chapters.
@@blazersflame9318Appreciate you not being argumentative 🙏🏾 In hindsight, I came off as a lot harsher on his character than I intended in that reply, but rest assured, Kai is very much my favorite of the cast and I'm not here to slander my boi, lol. It's just that his FTEs really threw me off after flipping so much on its head (which was definitely what the writers were going for, lol), and my expectations are kinda nebulous right now. By default I'm just expecting the worst and hoping for the best (though getting burned with Eva probably contributed to my pre-emptive resignation of my other favorite character getting an early death, ngl). I do think your interpretation of his FTEs is really interesting though. To clarify, the reason I originally thought he was "content" with his loyal subsection of fans, is because they were the only people who saw him for who he truly was. And therefore, the only opions he had any reason to value (in the game's own words, he views those people as "friends" that "mean everything" to him), since everyone else would rather believe falsities than actually get to know Kai as a person. Considering this, it's hard to believe Kai wouldn't be jaded about the idea of making new friends at this point in his life. He even tells Diana to forget checking out his content because "if you don't like me now, you're never gonna like me." And since he's understandably stopped fighting the narrative around him (even wishing his fans would stop fighting on his behalf), I interpreted that as him coming to terms with this reality and accepting his situation. That said.. if you'll allow me to dismatle my own point, I guess "coming terms with something" doesn't necessarily mean you're "content," does it? Like you said, he's reliant on his following because his circumstances more or less left him with no other choice. Therefore, the only reason he's still an influencer is, likewise, because he has no other choice. It doesn't mean he's happy with the status quo, so.. yeah, I agree with you there. As for whether or not he'd be realistically willing to open up in a killing game setting (given how much rejection he's recieved, and his belief that people who don't like him have already made up their minds).. well.. I guess that depends on how desperate he is. If he wants to make connections, nothing is really stopping him besides his own fear and preconconcieved notions. Though, I think it's worth noting that if Kai is desperate enough to make friends in a killing game at this point, then I find it weird he never tried to do this when he actually met some of his long time fans (the people who "want him to keep being himself"). What determines who he does and doesn't try to create a relationship with? I'm genuinely not sure, lol. Character arc aside, I fully agree with you about his potential role. His choices having unforseen butterfly effects on the story make a lot of sense. Like, in his effort to exert his agency and get what he wants out of a situation (ex. having Damon attend the gaming tournament), he'll unintentionally cause something to happen that can disrupt a killers plan. An unpredictable X factor that most characters probably wouldn't even pay attention to or think about (kinda like what Ron is for Kimpossible, lol). Definitely a workable dynamic for one of the more simple, zany, comic releif characters. But we shall see!
@@Soranyasama It's a weird RUclips quirk. You can't post usernames of people on social media without RUclips ghosting your comments comepletely. The only exception is if you comment under your own videos (same goes for external links, I believe).
i did his fte when i was playing, i already liked him since when his desing came out but DAMN, I LOVE HIM MORE THAN EVER i rlly like where the relationship between him and Damon is going, KAI MONTEAGO WILL NOT DIE KAIMON 4EVER
My favorite part about Kai is the fact that pretty much all of the information aside from the factual stuff that Tozu (or whoever’s running the game) put on his report card is just not true. They’re warped ‘facts’ created by the internet. Kai mentioned that he didn’t mind hats (hell, Damon gave him a baseball cap as one of his presents and he liked it) and how he didn’t actually like caffeine, for example. I’m assuming his blackmail was something of the same vein, since he mentioned how it couldn’t be any worse than how the internet percepted him. I think at first, Kai acted the way he did because he thought that was what the Ultimate Influencer acted like, but as time went on and he realized nobody in the game actually about his social media personality, he let himself act more genuine.
Thank you for posting this! I was kinda disappointed watching the free-time events in the official channel and seeing them all go to Eva, because Kai and Damon are such a fun pair.
I love how in every Danganronpa I always end up shipping the protag with someone who lives to mess with them (like Makoto and Byakuya for example) and BOY IS IT HAPPENING AGAIN
Saw a theory on reddit that because Kai mentions asking Toshiko, Ulysses, and Mark for help during his free time events, he’s going to die before those three characters for that fte conversation to make sense. As much as I WANT kai to not die early on in the story, and potentially have this conversation be adjustable if Kai survives past one or more of those three, I think it’s not likely going to be the case given that it would make extra work for the dev team. Who knows, either way, it’s gonna hurt.
Chapter 2 Victim is definitely what I'm feeling. It just feels right, given everything we know. Chapter 1- Damon trusted Eva and tolerated the other students. He's forced to room with Kai, is annoyed at first, but slowly warmed up to his presence on the final night. Only to then get betrayed by Eva, reinforcing how naive he was for letting his guard down, and hurting him deeply in the process. Diana also takes the place of Wolfgang as Damon's biggest annoyance, as he massively resents her unnatural bubbly optimism when they both recently betrayed by their mutual friend Eva. Chapter 2- Damon no longer trusts anyone, moves back to his room immediately (Kai begging Damon to stay, only to be ignored), and becomes even more distant from the group. Kai (left with no one to really hang out with) slowly starts to spend more time with Diana, who we know he'll be closest to (giving Damon more reason to keep his distance). Then, Kai dies, and Damon begins to feel like he took his presence and companionship for granted. Seeing Kai's room suddenly causes him to have a pit in his stomach, and perhaps he blames himself for leaving Kai to sleep alone or something (perhaps the murder takes place at night?). Diana gets passionate when, unlike Wolfgang, no one actually cares about Kai's death (because he isn't well liked by everyone anyway) and calls Damon out for burying his emotions. She tries to investigate with him, adamantly believing he must have felt _something_ when Kai died. And although he tries to deny it, Damon does indeed feel a tinge of regret, and maybe that could lead him to feeling responsible and personally invested in the case (perhaps in a small parallel to Grace and Wolfgang, since their time doing laundry framed both pairings as having the potential to develop deeper feelings for eachother). Which would then lead to him slowly opening his heart back up in the following chapters. As for who the killer would be.. no idea, lol. I wanna say Cassidy? Cause of her spider motif and Kai's being an insect (plus, Kai did dismiss her blackmail and sign up for her tournament, so I could see him letting his guard down around her)? But I feel like she's got a potential rivalry with Wenona to sort out too, so who knows, lol.
@@DLxxxI…hate how much this could reasonably happen. It’s sounds hella juicy and I see the vision but seriously, screw you for making me see this as a possibility •~•’
I noticed the Toshiko thing, but I didn't realize he also has to outlive Mark and Ulysses. If one of them becomes a victim, we will know Kai most likely did it. Then again, maybe we are just overthinking it. The devs don't seem to care that much about FTE continuity. For example, when Damon talks to Eva right before entering the dinning hall, he mentions that he hasn't talked to her since they investigated the pharmacy, even if the player spent the entirety of the previous day with her. This is one of many examples.
@@11th-lemon Fair, lol. Though I do hope that, once the game's all wrapped up, the developers go back and add some extra fluff dialogue/scene extensions depending on whether you did a characters FTEs. I know they did that in a couple of the official DR game's (like V3, where you get an extended interaction with Kaito and Maki if you did Maki's FTEs right after they opened up.
I saw a comment about this elsewhere, and under it someone else said that the devs said they would change some dialogue in FTEs depending on the chapter, so no predictions can be made about who’s dying when
Ya know.. after seeing his free time events, I'm honestly not sure what to think of Kai's character? He's likable, and definitely best boy, don't get me wrong, but.. knowing what I know now, I can't see how a guy like him would be entertaining or engaging to watch in a killing game setting? I was intrigued to see someone who got a kick out of watching drama would shake up the dynamic of certain scenes. And I was _really_ curious about how he would use his charisma to eventually win people over (which I also assumed would connect to him gaining his following). I was also hoping to see him clash with Diana a bit, since she dislikes drama, and maybe lead to some satisfying character growth on his end. But.. he's just a normal guy who's good at marketing, creating a chill business "vibe," and not much else, lol. So what am I left to work with in terms of speculation? Like, if all the stuff on his bio is false, then I don't really know what to expect from him, or what could motovate him to take action, if he ever does. Like.. is he actually self-centered, or not? Cause.. if he only maintains an internet presence so he can have "friends" and NOT to feed his ego, and he knows he's objectively not the biggest influencer in the world (in terms of following and direct publicity), its really strange that he was so shocked and offeneded when Damon didn’t recognize him in the prologue (he even got jealous of Diana's reputation for a bit). And the way he repeatedly tried to charm Damon at the start.. it really felt like he wanted everyone to like him, and that he took extreme pride in his talent to the point of arrogance (which fits with his supposed "dislike of apologizing). But those implications don't feel congruent with these FTEs. If he's truly given up on trying to change the false narrative around him and he's content with his current following, then.. why care what other people think anymore? As far as Kai is concerned, they're ignorant strangers who don't matter and will never matter (Grace was literally just parroting a false narrative in the prologue, that, from Kai's POV, would be too ridiculous to take seriously). So why does he have this super big, yet fragile ego? When did he get an inflated sense of self? If recieving his talent only caused him headaches (directly leading to all the drama around him), and the _only_ people he likes are the ones who were there before he got his talent, then WHY does be care about being recognized as an influencer? Why does not being recognised by Damon make him consider "losing all faith in humanity?" Why was he hurt to learn Diana didn't check out his content? This isn’t me trying to knock on my favorite character in the cast, but.. the more I type this out, the more suspicious I am that his character changed in development, lol.
I really like this analysis, and I ended up writing a really long response, whoops. The only thing I can speculate is that I think maybe Kai is lying to himself a little bit, about not caring? He seems like the type to compensate for his genuine insecurities by sort of playing into his online persona and almost wanting people to think he's got an ego, because he does seem like he cares what people think of him (I mean, he talks a lot about how much he relies on his fans). But he tells himself he doesn't, because it's easier than facing the fact that most people hate him by default. It's like a weird aloof thing where he still defaults to charming people because he innately wants to be liked, but he still plays into his public persona because it's more familiar for him to be hated. I just think he's got a ton of identity issues tbh. Also, Kai started his job as an influencer a YEAR ago. He was assigned an Ultimate title for something he did on a whim because he needed money, while most other students have dedicated their entire lives to their talents and made serious sacrifices to become as good as they are. Meanwhile Kai got his talent as an anonymous brand ambassador, and it all came crashing down after he was recruited. His personal account isn't even that impressive. He got his talent for something that presumably doesn't exist anymore. So maybe the ego thing in the beginning was him trying to compensate, in that sense? And now that I think about it, maybe he was extra happy to dogpile Eva when her real talent was revealed, because he thinks deep down that his talent is even more worthless than hers. Maybe he was afraid to be seen as the pathetic one who didn't deserve to be here. What a happy coincidence, that Eva painted herself as an outcast before people found out more about how he got his talent. Maybe he even felt like he could relax a bit around Damon afterwards, since Damon was one of the only ones who didn't judge Eva's talent (tbh I could make an entire post about Damon mocking everyone for having useless talents and still not abandoning Eva). But this is a LOT of assumptions based on not a lot of character, so! I just think his backstory is neat :')
I feel like there is a reason why Kai kinda acts different at first compared to the rest of the game. Kai might’ve seen this school as a way to start from a clean slate. Assuming his past high school experience was muddled by him being outed as an influencer and all the drama that came from it, causing his peers to see and treat him poorly (or at least avoid him,) then he saw this as an opportunity for people to know Kai as someone else. In his fte’s, he seems to have accepted that people would just dislike him at default because of all the rumors. I think Kai found hope that this wouldn’t be the case. That’s probably why he portrayed himself so differently at first, so other people could see Kai as what he wanted to be seen as. This is supported by his line about him losing all hope in humanity before coming to this school. My interpretation of this line is that he lost all hope in humanity because he gave up on trying to get people to know the truth. When he found hope in that maybe people would see him differently at this school, it was basically crushed soon after he met everybody. This is supported by the fact that he says that no one liked him at the end of his introduction. After that, I think he slowly gave up in trying to portray himself in the way he wanted to. As for the type of person he wanted to portray himself as, maybe it was someone who was who has a big following because of their likability and charisma. I’m not really sure about this part. This is kinda making a lot of assumptions though. I’m sorry for my bad grammar.
@@Illy_jadeNo no, I think that theory makes a lot of sense! It's a pretty elegant explanation for his odd demeanor at the start. Maybe the writers wrote the interactions in a way that could make it believable for his bio to be accurate (so you don't catch on to the twist too early), only to confirm his real personality in Chapter 1? I guess.. if we're running with this theory.. OK, *here's my hypothesis:* Even though Kai doesn't think he can change his public perception (and knows all the drama is based on misinformation, parroted by ignorant strangers), it still slowly erroded his confidence to be constantly subjected to social isolation and unwarranted vitriol. He may not take the drama seriously, but he's also not so cynical and bitter that he no longer values other people's perception of him IRL. That said, the fact that his is ego is still THIS fragile despite dealing with hollow insults everyday, implies that he doesn't have the best emotional support system (otherwise, he'd at least be more tolerant to strangers opinion of him). Which is where his followers come in. He uses his online "friends" as an emotional safety net to compensate for feeling so lonely (which is why he's always so active and engaging with them). Kai admits that, if not for these people, he'd be totally fine dropping off the face of the internet and never being an influencer again. Which fits, since becoming an influencer and recieving his title has effectively destroyed his social life. So the reason he starts worrying what his long time followers are thinking, is because he doesn't want them to leave him alone. On the flip side, the reason why he cares about being recognized by Damon, Diana, and the other students (despite the fact that being recognized by someone means they're most likely aware of the negative drama surrounding him).. I think it may imply that part of Kai actually _does_ just want to be famous to some extent? Like, even if it's negative, he'd rather most people know his name, than not? Cause even though he claims he wanted a "normal school life," the fact that he still felt offended when people didn't recognize him (to the point of being upset people didn't recognize him as much as Diana), implies that's not totally true. In fact, it shows a degree of narcissism, which.. would actually explain many aspects of his personality in general (his whole "woe is me" attitude and tendency to exaggerate his problems are pretty standard manipulation tactics of covert narcissists looking to wring attention and sympathy from others). I wouldn't be surprised if his tears appearing and disappearing at the drop of a hat are at least partially thanks to this. Especially since he should realistically be more jaded to people's insults, if he has to deal with them as much as we're told (or at least, this is a simpler explanation for it than assuming he has no self-esteem whatsoever). Granted, being a narcissist doesn't make you an inherently bad person by any means (even though it does have it's pitfalls, and it can be annoying at times), it's just a facet of who you are. I think overall Kai's still a generally good person who wants to have a real connection that isn't through a screen, but he also has attention needs that have to be met (even if he's used to that attention being mostly negative). But, like the rest of you guys, I'm making quite a few assumptions here. There are a ton of ways to explain his weird changes in behavior, and I'm super eager to find out more about his character in the future.
@@DLxxx Reading it back, I didn’t realize how dramatically I worded it; my bad. I like your explanation of his behavior. If you look at his character with narcissism in mind, it does clear up a lot of his confusing behavior. (Kai always tearing up always threw me off on my interpretation about him, so it’s nice to have a possible explanation for that.) I would be glad if he had narcissistic tendencies because to a degree, his fte’s make him feel completely blameless and innocent in a way. Not to say him having narcissistic tendencies would make him evil or anything though. I see your point that maybe the writers made him act that way so the player could see him as Damon does. It seems like an important aspect of his character. The player would better understand and sympathize with how these misconceptions affects Kai’s life by basically experiencing them firsthand in a way. It’s gonna be such a pain to have to wait for the next chapter to get a clearer image of his character though 😭
Man,the Gaydar is really going off on this one, that and a couple of other moments too Here's what I think is going through both of their minds when Damon thought something sus at this moment 5:42 Damon: It was at this moment he knew,he fucked up. Meanwhile,Kai: Roses are red, cactuses are prickly, HOLY SHIT,Damon, that escalated really quickly. What even were you thinking?!! Damon:wut? I swear,i was dying from this one 😂😂😂.
Thanks for uploading this! For some reason, I can't complete his second FTE without my screen turning black and the game becoming unplayable. It's very interesting how Damon casually mentioned Toshiko during the second FTE. This suggests that Toshiko is going to outlive Kai, since otherwise this event wouldn't make sense if the player decided to hang out with Kai after Toshiko died. This also means that if Toshiko turns out to be a victim, Kai has to be the blackened (or a second victim).
Well the next chapter is at least gonna release in another two years so safe to say by then everyone who was there for the release would at least play most of the FTE. 😅
No it's different. For example the event 3 12:44, kai's actual FTE starts at 14:11, not when you talk to him at first before giving the present. You can only have a maximum of 5 FTE's for each danganronpa character, assuming P:EG is similar because all profiles are up to 6. You can still talk to them after you finish their FTE, but they will only give you the current situation, so in other words you cannot get any more FTE's for that character if you finish it. For example You did not talk to kai in the first and second free time Then 2:20 FTE will happen during the free time event at 14:11, but the opening (aka the game tournament) will be the opening topic instead of opening topic at event 1. To answer your question, yes the opening conversation is different, but their actual FTE will have a maximum of 5, and if you didn't do their FTE on the first day/first chapter, then you'll get their FTE on the next day/next chapter if you talked to them.
i don't think they're relevant to the plot bc you'll have to hang out with a certain character then and the point of FTE's is hanging with someone of your personal preference in the free time the game gives you, its also made so characters have more screen time if you'd like to, I think it would be fun but at the same time, if you didn't hang out with them you'll probably lose track of the story and stuff... idk if im explaining myself in the right way, sorry, english isn't my first language.
@@ScarlettUsagi Kai mentions a few characters' names in his second FTE though. Let's say we were to do that FTE in Chapter 3 or later, and one of the people Kai mentioned was already dead, it wouldn’t make much sense, would it? This could also mean Kai would have to die at some point so his FTEs wouldn’t be accessible anymore. But that feels a bit too obvious, doesn’t it?
@@legg7132 I know about that, but yeah, it either foreshadows he dies first before Toshiko, Ulysses and the other person (I forgot) or they remove the line completely after they are dead. But the opening text will always be different depending on what's the current event.
2 ways, they are the survivors(totalling to 5) and In any case a huge spoiler, or Kai will die and these 3 will be remaining going to his trials, be it him being the victim or murderer, I'm sad to say I'm probably leaning more to the latter
@@cassievalanzuela4029 Definitely feels like he's gonna die soon. It would explain all of the explicit ship teasing this chapter: gotta let his fans eat while they still can, lol.
@cassievalanzuela4029 there is also the possibility of Kai being the blackened, and since FTE comes first before BDA, there is also a possibility that either of the three will be future victims of him

I've been reading the comments and a vas majority of people thinks Kai will be a chapter 5-ish victim. Honestly I can see where that thoight comes from, because it a very danganronpa trope but honestly Project Eden's garden is all about suverting those tropes. chapter 5 deaths were: DR1: a key character for the whole mistery and protagonist (botched execution) DR2: main antagonist and love interest DR3: main antagonist and Bro/sidekick My point is that if this game will subvert those expectations, Kai has higher chances of surviving. Last time a love interest/sidecick survived was in DR1. Crazy to think that DR1 is the least trope-y of the trilogy...
Right?! I picked the incorrect choices because they felt like a more obvious play on "Starbucks" (the real world equivalent). The only way you could guess Stelladolla is if you already did Wenona's FTEs, or maybe certain gift descriptions, lol.
Either plain old luck, or by looking at the brands of the gachapon items. Since there's no penalty for failure anyway, I think it's a nice little detail to 'reward' players who fished a bunch of stuff out of the gachapon and remembered that brand.
@@arindammishra2329 it's made clear at the start of chapter 1 that Damon is attracted to guys 😭 he probably had a small crush on Eva too so I'm assuming he's bi
@@legg7132 He blushed interacting w Diana during their FTE though so that has to mean something (though it isnt really an indicator, I just love diamon)
Probably bi, I think. It's implied he may have been ever so slightly attracted to Eva after they grew close and started engaging in more casual banter (i.e. "a smile really looks good on her"), and the calendar interaction implies he's attracted to guys. So that's my headcannon for right now, lol.
Damon def open about it if someone where to bring up. Like in the Trail, He says to see things from a different perspective. With him being the Ultimate Debater, I wouldn't be suprised if he's dated the same Gender to just understand a certain Community. Even in Elosie's free time event, he makes the insinuation, her mother might have a Girlfriend thus I believe Damon is probably Bi, or has tested the Waters for sure.
So… does ANYONE else just get an indefinite black screen when they finish Kai’s second FTE? Like, the game completely just breaks. It’s like it doesn’t want me to finish it.
Yes, the same happens to me. I had to resort to this video to watch the second half of his FTEs. The game still works after the black screen, you just can't see anything. I managed to save the game and load it later, but that only lead me to a softlock.

Everyone's rooms are tied to their colors of designs. Damon's room is green because he has a green tie. Kai's room is pink because he has pink hair.
maybe he js likes the color pink or smth
He even tells Diana to forget checking out his content because "if you don't like me now, you're never gonna like me."
And since he's understandably stopped fighting the narrative around him (even wishing his fans would stop fighting on his behalf), I interpreted that as him coming to terms with this reality and accepting his situation. That said.. if you'll allow me to dismatle my own point, I guess "coming terms with something" doesn't necessarily mean you're "content," does it?

I just think his backstory is neat :')
thanks for these responses guys keep making more
I feel like there is a reason why Kai kinda acts different at first compared to the rest of the game.
OK, *here's my hypothesis:*
Even though Kai doesn't think he can change his public perception (and knows all the drama is based on misinformation, parroted by ignorant strangers), it still slowly erroded his confidence to be constantly subjected to social isolation and unwarranted vitriol.

Man,the Gaydar is really going off on this one, that and a couple of other moments too
Here's what I think is going through both of their minds when Damon thought something sus at this moment 5:42
Damon: It was at this moment he knew,he fucked up.
Meanwhile,Kai:
Roses are red,cactuses are prickly,
HOLY SHIT,Damon,that escalated really quickly.
What even were you thinking?!!
Damon:wut?
I swear,i was dying from this one 😂😂😂.

KAI THE MAN YOU ARE I LOVE HIM RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Thanks for uploading this! For some reason, I can't complete his second FTE without my screen turning black and the game becoming unplayable.
It's very interesting how Damon casually mentioned Toshiko during the second FTE. This suggests that Toshiko is going to outlive Kai, since otherwise this event wouldn't make sense if the player decided to hang out with Kai after Toshiko died. This also means that if Toshiko turns out to be a victim, Kai has to be the blackened (or a second victim).
I like that these free time events tie in to what’s happened in the plot. Though I dunno if they’re gonna still match if you’d do FTEs later
For example
You did not talk to kai in the first and second free time
Then 2:20 FTE will happen during the free time event at 14:11, but the opening (aka the game tournament) will be the opening topic instead of opening topic at event 1.
If this cutie patootie gets oofed, we riot
THANK YOU FOR THIS, I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SEE THIS!
5:23 def understand y damon thought that way, kai was making it seem like it was so embarrassing 😭😭
9:23 I wonder how Event 2 plays if he ever outlive Toshiko, Mark, and/or Ulysses
probably something like ''youre the only one that can help me''
That's one of his early death flags, lol
Well he probavly will not outlive them lmao
Maybe they'll change it a little or not.. They could just remove the entire line completely
I'm upset... looks like a spoiler that Kai will die early
He looks so much like me it's scary.. Also this is so cute maybe I should get into this
Dammit now i ship dianmon and kaimon too🙏😭
i propose... kaidiamon. the best of both worlds. hehe (I always end up loving protag x support x antag ships)
@YunoKashiki-v9o YESSSSS
@YunoKashiki-v9o kaidiamon also has all members of the ship be close in age too! So no weird feelings around age gaps
9:22 Hmm... Interesting. I wonder how they will be consistent to his statement (he didn't include wolfgang, which I presume they already knew...)
@cassievalanzuela4029 there is also the possibility of Kai being the blackened, and since FTE comes first before BDA, there is also a possibility that either of the three will be future victims of him
My boy for real ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Loved the vídeo can you please do toshiko kayura free time events she's my favorite and i really want too know her story

Kai Cenat 😋
I've been reading the comments and a vas majority of people thinks Kai will be a chapter 5-ish victim. Honestly I can see where that thoight comes from, because it a very danganronpa trope but honestly Project Eden's garden is all about suverting those tropes.
chapter 5 deaths were:
DR1: a key character for the whole mistery and protagonist (botched execution)
DR2: main antagonist and love interest
DR3: main antagonist and Bro/sidekick
My point is that if this game will subvert those expectations, Kai has higher chances of surviving. Last time a love interest/sidecick survived was in DR1.
Crazy to think that DR1 is the least trope-y of the trilogy...
how were you supposed to guess the fictional coffee brand lol
If kai dies I die kaimon canon
Hajime and Shunchi are either straigth or bi
I am confused about Damion
@@arindammishra2329 it's made clear at the start of chapter 1 that Damon is attracted to guys 😭 he probably had a small crush on Eva too so I'm assuming he's bi
@@legg7132 He blushed interacting w Diana during their FTE though so that has to mean something (though it isnt really an indicator, I just love diamon)
His dialogue from the pin-up poster of Daimon (the calendar guy) is also an indicator.
They re so alhaithem and Karen coded, both opposite of each other, their personalities and they are roommates.
