Hi, Emma! Hope you're doing well! When Billy was reloading, he was describing the movie "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid" which is a famous Western starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Check that movie out sometime!
Eddie Murphy's boss was played by Gilbert Hill, a real-life Detroit police inspector who the casting people had spotted and hired. He said he didn't swear like that in real life, but he was a strong leader. Inspector Hill later served on Detroit's city council and ran for mayor (unsuccessfully).
Eddie's boss in Detroit was a real cop. Years later, he wound up in trouble and was arrested. The sequel is worth watching, I didn't care for the last movie myself, but others love it.
Hey, Emma. It was beautiful to watch you react to this movie. Your laughter was a pleasant addition to seeing it again. I want to suggest 48 HOURS, Eddie Murphy's first movie, to put on your list. It stars NICK Nolte, and Eddie is fantastic. Keep smiling and enjoy
Harold Faltermeyer who did the instrumental music also did it for Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick. Also, the actor that played Jeffrey also played Paul in the Mad About You TV series with Helen Hunt. I got another one of my favorite movies you should react to is The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.
That saddened me, too; he was just 76 years old. I'd loved to have met him, but I still hope I get to meet most of the others someday. I encountered Judge Reinhold at a comic-book store signing maybe 12 years ago, and he signed an 8x10 for me. I still have it.
That's not why he laughed at it. In the scene right before it, Axl mentioned Michael Jackson a few times. Jackson wore that jacket in the "Thriller" video.
Emma the piece of music you instantly recognised that runs throughout this movie is called Axel F. It was composed for this movie by Harold Faltermeyer. The music is as iconic as the movie.
I remember seeing this when it came out in Germany on the base my father was stationed at. It was a pretty big deal, long line at the base theater - good times!
Eddie Murphy's breakout role was in 48 HRS. He's stellar in that. I can't recommend the two Beverly Hills Cop sequels, but I highly recommend his unbelievable performance in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR where he plays I think 6 different roles! Wonderful reaction as usual. 🥰
The scenes in the locker room/bathroom were filmed at an LA Water a Power district headquarters that I worked at. The building was torn down, actually blown up for another movie
Music from Harold Faltermeyer was perfect for the film, he also made the music for Running Man (with Schwarzenegger), which is sad music but fitting nearly as perfect as the sound for Beverly Hills Cop. (/ Part 3 didn't reach the great 80s vibe of part 1 at all, but I would say part 2 came close to it or it's at least cool to see those guys once more in action.)
Emma, you'll love Beverly Hills Cop 2 as well. Same humor. Being that you're a singer, you'd appreciate another 1980s film "Eddie & The Cruisers" a film about a band where the lead singer goes missing. Amazing soundtrack. It sucks that you had your channels deleted. I can only hope that better things are ahead for you.
I need to actually watch this full movie sometime. This looked like a really good movie and quite a supporting cast to it. Thank you for bringing to my attention (I had heard of it but knew little about it) and I really enjoyed your reaction.
I am still trying to understand if Emma is German or not. She looks 100% German, she has a German face, German eyes, German name, but she moved to Russia recently, I think??? Does anyone know where she is from?

The obvious plot hole is that, since Jenny has been given keys to the warehouse, she is clearly allowed to go there and can simply let the police in for them to then legally search it based on her suspicions, very much the way Bogomil says it at the end.
Emma, you should definitely watch all of these films, but you might also want to check out the "Naked Gun" series for a great laugh. Awesome reaction! ❤

This role was initially intended for Sylvester Stallone , if you can imagine it . Fortunately he turned down the role , as did many others . It would have been a completely different movie without Eddie Murphy . Sometimes fortune takes a hand .
One minor correction: Stallone didn't turn it down. He accepted the role, and then as agreed he proceeded to rewrite the script to tailor it more to his strengths. Unfortunately, his rewrites decreased the amount of comedy and increased the amount of action, which would have been fine except that shooting the Stallone draft would have pushed the projected budget of $14 million closer to the $25 million mark, and Paramount got cold feet. But Stallone was coming off a 1982 with two huge hits, FIRST BLOOD and ROCKY III (both written or co-written by Sly), and no one wanted to tell the biggest star in the world they didn't want to make his movie. In the end, Stallone bowed out, and instead of soaking Paramount for all the money owed to him, he agreed to walk away if he could just keep all the script material he contributed, with an eye to using it in another project for himself down the road. A lot of those discarded ideas found their way into COBRA a few years later.
