I always buy large bags of onions of all kinds, sleeves of garlic heads and bunches of cilantro. They are the best on hand items for soooo many recipes. The black bean taco creme' I have made before. I have learned to leave out the water and add 1 Tbsp mayo. So delicious! Love all the recipes. I have printed them out. Thank you for all your hard work. Been watching your videos for about a year.

Boiled rice is a staple across Pakistan. And I always thought this was probably the most commonly used cooking method for rice. It comes fluffy and just right every time as you can keep checking for doneness.

I like your chicken and squash and I like that your kids eat squash none of my grandkids will even try it although my kids always did. Something I do is smoke my own paprika. In our store smoked paprika cost 4 times as much as regular paprika. Everytime my husband fires up the smoker I put a jar of paprika into a small pot and set it on the coolest end of the smoker. I turns out great and super economical.

With the family size you have, why would you put half a pound of the protein?i fully understand living on a budget and if that's all your truly able to afford, but I've been concerned noticing this, and when you are using half the Mac n cheese box and talking about high calorie salads to make up for missing calories I don't really understand, considering, the trips, and your home ,etc...I'm honestly not downing your ideas, but you hv a larger family it just feels like the meats, etc, are really lacking, beans and lentils, rice and pasta ,salads, are great too,but I felt uncomfortable, watching you use only a half pound of ground beef, using in the past 3 chicken thighs etc...I just feel.... budget yes, affordable yes,but not enough proteins, for your larger family.as we have to watch our grocery bills to OUR affordability.it just really feels inappropriate.im sorry if you find my comment wrong ,or hurtful,it's not at all, against your meal ideas.

Hi Melissa! I know you’re a regular viewer so I hope I can explain. We love eggs for breakfast and have protein at many meals and often more than 1/2 lb but there are definitely times when I cut it down. One thing is I hate wasting or using more than we need, another is that I have a mission on this channel to help others who are struggling. Many are on a fixed income or just don’t have the opportunity to increase their budget when prices increase. I aim to help people using my gift. I love to cook and I love to find ways to stretch a buck. I’ve been so blessed to turn my hobby into a career and help others at the same time ❤️ hope that helps!
