Some people troll as racist just to see others reaction. Some others are actually racist but Verbal not physical. Then there are very few that are just plain racist that seek confrontation leading to a physical altercation.
In my experience as being part of a certain group of color I’ve never had anyone physically touch me or created violence towards me through their racism. Only words. And it’s how i react to those words. If no one’s touching me I’m good but generally it’s just verbal and it is what it is “oh another racist joke. Nice. Back to my work” lmao

Do you think people who make racist jokes even if it's not with harmful intent are "racist people"?

there definitely is a difference between those who intend to harm and those who don't. most people don't like to be labeled "racist." some even go to great lengths to identify as "anti-racist," whatever that means. at least for me personally, it matters more about who is saying it. obviously, i give my close friends much more wiggle room as its well established they don't mean harm. but for those people i don't know, i view it at a different angle. of course, this is only my opinion.
