Southern boy in Minnesota for last 45 years it's COLD winter and HOT summer and we have snakes, wasp, ground wasp, fish with rows of teeth plus I keep looking for SNOW 🐍
Concerning wasps nest - we rub a soap bar on the wooden roof inside of our bluebird house and it seems to prevent wasps building a wasp nest in there. Could you put a layer of soap or waxy coating on the inner roof of your duck huts to prevent wasp nests from building up? We know it would be on a much bigger scale than what we do with our bluebird houses - just an idea.
What God chose was a people for His possession. Language referring to chosen is plural - us! We are chosen when we chose into His chosen people by faith,
That would imply that God’s redemptive plan is not effective? Also if I choose God first I will have reason to boast. No, God opens the eyes and heart of a sinner , then we choose Him
@@gretelhance Did God enable everyone to believe and they just have to make the choice? This doesn't appear to be the case in John 6. Some did not believe and this was because God did not enable them.
@@scottcovell5267 The simplest way to explain is That we are all hell deserving sinners. But God in His mercy moves on the heart of some and they come to faith. He does not cause others to “ reject” Him He simply passes over them or leaves them in their sin. In order to be a gift it has to be the choice of the giver to grant that gift. Rom 9:13 ; mark 1:3 shows us the gift of salvation comes before we are born before the world began and has nothing to do with what we do or who we are. These two had the same parents andGod makes this statement before they were born. Romans 9:17 tells us that Pharaoh was raised for the purpose to display God’s power through Pharaohs evil. God did not create the evil in him but left him in it.
We have so many Brown Recluses we actually have a TOWN named after them. Recluse, Wyoming! I have one or 2 every year in my flower bed. I leave them alone to eat bugs and grasshoppers & they leave me alone. This year I had 2. The initial momma's babies have come back year after year to protect me from the grasshoppers that I hate so bad I got out of a moving car to get away from & almost took out the front windshield of hubby's 1-ton after a HUGE green one jumped onto the dog house right next to me in the front seat!
When I was a child the boys would put fuel on a rag on a long pole and light it and burn the nest. My husband left a tractor in a field running when he hit a nest whilst disking one day.
Here's one thing we should keep in mind. The Lord says that many are called, but few are chosen. The Gospel is to be proclaimed to all people, but it's obvious that not all who hear the Gospel believe and respond to the Gospel. Why? Yes, we all have a choice, and our will does play a big part in what choice we make. But there's another factor we must consider. The Scripture teaches that all of us are spiritually dead. A dead man has no faith. Paul put it like this." As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were BY NATURE objects of wrath. But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved.- Ephesians 2:1-5. Now, since we are all spiritually dead, we cannot have any sort of faith to believe the Gospel unless God does a work of regeneration to make us spiritually alive so that we are able to even have the desire to make the right choice when hearing the Gospel. He must give us a new nature that is capable of responding in saving faith to the Gospel. I think a good example of this is in Acts 16:13-15. " On the Sabbath we went outside of the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshipper of God. THE LORD OPENED HER HEART TO RESPOND TO PAUL'S MESSAGE. When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. 'If you consider me a believer in the Lord', she said, 'come and stay at my house.' And she persuaded us." Even though she was a worshipper of God, she didn't know God because she didn't know Christ. There were many others who heard the same message that Paul preached that day, but the only ones who responded to it were those whom God had opened their hearts so that they could respond in saving faith, which was Lydia and her household. The rest heard the message, but were still spiritually dead and unable to have saving faith. I thank God that He opened my heart to respond in saving faith to the Gospel, and if you're saved, it's because He opened your heart as well.
Not sure how you can say God does not show favoritism? Was not Abraham chosen by God to bless him and multiply his seed? Was not Mary "highly favored of the Lord"? I think maybe some things are "lost in translation " with the NIV. .out if the other versions say "God is not a respector of persons"
23:40 ish, God said " i will make of you a nation of priests" what are priests? They are the go between, between God and man. That was Israels purpose, thats what they were chose for...

I know of no one who says only a few are saved. Bottom line is if God is sovereign then He is also sovereign in salvation. We are dead in sin and trespass; unable to save ourselves. If I did something to gain it I then have reason to boast. It’s like two people who sit under the preaching of the word and one walks away saved and one unchanged. When we pray for the lost do we plead with God to allow someone to save themselves?? No, we plead for mercy. All of God.

How can God know all AND mortals have free will simultaneously? The two are irreconcilable concepts. I love this channel. I love Duck Dynasty because it's clean fun and promotes family. I'm not religious but I still agree with a lot of what Unashamed says. This is one of several key concepts that I've never gotten a good answer to. It's always "take it on faith." I always retort with the following: "Do you take it on faith that your employer pays you?" Perhaps someone will provide an answer that blows me away.
Scripture is clear that God knows the future. Matt 6:8, psalm 139:1-4 and has total control. Colossians 1:16,17, Daniel 4:35. Also we are responsible for our actions .rom 3:19, 6:23, 9:19-21. How they work together is not possible for a finite mind to fully comprehend. Rom 11:33-34. God does not violate our will ( we’re not robots) rather He changes our hearts do it is our will to choose him . 1john 4:19, john 15:16.
@@dfischer5878 I appreciate the response. However, I disagree. If God made us in his image as thinking, feeling creatures with dominion over animals and plants AND above angels, then it's not unreasonable to think that we could logically deduce things. What I mean is this: from a logic standpoint, an all knowing entity and free will are not equally possible. It is either, or. You could say, "well it's all in God's mind." That's fine and well but it still means our actions were KNOWN in advance, from the very founding of the universe, by God. To know something 100% you've had to already seen / experienced it (or imagined it, like a plan). That means no one under God can have free will. Otherwise, God would not know everything. If God is also infallible, then it means God is equally responsible for all good AND all evil that exists. What's the point in testing mortals, if God already knows they will fail. That seems arbitrarily cruel. So...something has to give. Either God knows all, is responsible for all good & evil, and there is no free will OR...God doesn't know all, there IS free will, and evil is relative to those that experience it. It can not be both, it must be one or the other. This is the conundrum that I cannot get around.

Southern boy in Minnesota for last 45 years it's COLD winter and HOT summer and we have snakes, wasp, ground wasp, fish with rows of teeth plus I keep looking for SNOW 🐍
Choose who you will serve.
No, God opens the eyes and heart of a sinner , then we choose Him
This is good teaching, especially about Judas, he had a choice.
Son of perdition.

Great discussion. What about John 6:44 and John 6:65? No one can come to God unless He enables them.
John 3:16,
Whosoever will
@@gretelhance Did God enable everyone to believe and they just have to make the choice?

Few are chosen many are called
Mine just told me the same thing he hopped off that tractor and ran!!!! ❤🙏🇺🇲❤
Make it?
No one makes it on their own
Owe no man but to love him
QUESTION... if you are baptized and backslide do you get baptized again or pray for forgiveness and live right from that point on ????
Amen and well said;)
Time goes by like smoke through a key hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure how you can say God does not show favoritism? Was not Abraham chosen by God to bless him and multiply his seed? Was not Mary "highly favored of the Lord"? I think maybe some things are "lost in translation " with the NIV. .out if the other versions say "God is not a respector of persons"

Love your family and your devotion. Don't know if you guys ever thought 🤔 I will probably not duck hunt in my life BUT I keep a duck commander duck call in my purse at all times if I ever feel threatened I would pull it out. I can promise it won't sound like a duck but it will be LOUD. So ladies even if you don't hunt you should keep one in your bag, better than a whistle!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Ask God to help you understand. He is faithful.
@@gretelhance Your reply is appreciated.
Can yall soon, go over the book of Revelations with us? Interpret it so people like me can better understand it.
