to pick up a mooring ball run a line from the bow to the stern, pull up alongside the mooring ball run the line through the ball and walk forward moving the boat with the line, tie off the line and then worry about the stern line. Takes about 1 min and you get the ball the first shot. Good luck!
It’s wild how unreliable GoPro can be. I just got the media mod for my one GoPro I have so I can have better audio. Guess what, after an entire day of filming crucial events with the new media mod, I had zero audio with to go with the video. Don’t know how I’m gonna recover this one haha.
@sailingfujin I use the external mic adapter and a Rode microphone, which a clamp that holds it all together more for when I'm outside, it's a bit too directional for other uses, but it has always worked. The external mic adapter was from my days of motorcycle filming. it's simple and always worked. But really, I need to ditch the gopro all together, but yikes, the alternative is expensive !
Sailing Catalina at Catalina island is so literal, like it was born for this.

Thank you!

Awesome; TY 4 sharing.
thanks for wathcin!
Great recovery on the lost footage, my GoPro luck is not so great, at times I just have to ditch hour's of footage. And move on. Ugh

You're going to need an air tank and a diving buddy for safety! And I am surprised at the size of the prop. Just a little thing.
not a gaping hole out the back!! ;)
sometimes I don't even know what I'm saying when I talk to the lens
Is Vaseline the trick if you have facial hair????? I went snorkeling with a goatee and kept getting water in my mask. Should have shaved I suppose
Yep that’s the trick. Slap a little vasoline on the mustache and you’re good to go!

Wow, thank you Vessel Z-3!
