  • So we decided to take our wives fishing in Sekiu, WA for 3 days. This is day 1 of the adventure. We started out trying to mooch so they could experience a rod in hand technique, but there was a massive horde of Coho out front of Clallam Bay that day and we were going through our bait super fast. Additionally, we had to catch a lot of fish to get to hatchery keepers (fin clipped). Downrigger trolling is often a more efficient technique at hooking a lot of fish, and after we started, we caught our 8 keepers in only 2.5 hours. Please enjoy this first installment in a series of 3 videos that shows you everything we were doing to have success.
We were running at 75 and 55 ft on the wire around the 350-400 ft depth line. Here's the amazon links to the flashers and spoons we caught all the fish on:
    Gibbs flasher bonchovie: amzn.to/3aqYl4X
    Coyote flasher blue: amzn.to/3PfSVbz
    Cookies n cream spoon: amzn.to/3PbLW3o
Herring aid spoon: not on amazon
