I have a poodle pekingese mix and yes, she's a cat in a dog's body. She shows no love to anyone, but gets angry when not paid attention to. She's also very intelligent and vengeful XD
Pekingese dog was the very first dog breed I owned, seeing both of these fluffballs reminds me of my late pekingese baby Harvey. He was such a sweet boy and while he doesn't bark a lot, he does think of himself as a prince and he always wants to be spoiled with pets and kisses. I still remembered how he would bark cutely and thump his hind legs whenever I ate bananas or papayas, truly a small prince but he was very well-behaved. Be happy there on the rainbow bridge, Harvey
Brings back memories of my own Peke whom we dubbed "The Emperor of Evil". He was unpredictably ferocious & once sank his teeth into my ribcage for simply trying to get off the couch to get a cup of coffee. Apparently I disturbed his royal nap 😬
Reminds me of my two sibling chihuahuas, the late Ferdinand and Isabel. He always had to know where she was and what she was doing, and immediately had to reassert his right to his territory as soon as they were back together. He’s been gone almost two years, but Isabel actually likes when a male dog decides to stick his snoot up her hind end, must feel comforting to her. Dogs, they’re just the best! Thanks for the lense into your world! ❤🐕
The joy with which you said, "he's humping the air!" made my day! Hahaha! Everything else is in such a calm meditative voice, but that one seemed to have broken through that. Keep up the good work!
@@rowenkylee5627 I think he was humping air because he just tried to mount his "sister" and impregnate her. I think he managed to do just that, he was close enough to be humping his "sister" instead of air for a second or two. Too bad the orange dog was vicious, he was so adorable.

I've been a "Peke parent" all my adult life. I absolutely love the breed. Fortunately, all of mine were sweet and even tempered - never had one that snapped at me the way this little male did.
I'm so glad that there's good groomers like you out there. Our dog s are terrified of groomers because our previous groomers were abusive and usually hit them (we only found out later and switched to a better groomer IMMEDIATELY)
Omg that’s terrible. Why would a groomer hit a dog? (Or any animal for that matter!). I’m sorry that happened to your fur baby, but glad you found out and were able to remove them from said groomer!
Oh my god if I found out a groomer had been hitting my dog or any dog for that matter….I’m so sorry that happened to y’all and I hope they’re fired and are never able to work with animals again. What kind of internal management issues at that grooming business would’ve allowed that to happen? If I was in that position the moment someone tried to hurt an animal they’d be fired, and as someone who used to work with pets a lot I know for a fact that would be the case where I worked. I hope you and your dogs are doing well

my aunt used to have one of these dogs. her name was "baby" and my aunt would take her to the groomer like every week and they would meticulously put little tiny bows throughout her ear fur and she was the saddest looking dog i'd ever seen, but i loved to play with her and give her lots of love.
I had my Angel for 15 years until she passed away in 2018 and she was the best companion I could ever ask for. She was so sweet and sooo intelligent, and thankfully she didn't have her face so flat like most pekingese, no breathing problems, though she went through two mammary tumors like a champ. She was NOTHING like how you described her breed LOL, though she was extremely pampered but I love pekingeses because of her. She also would go to the biggest dog you'd ever see and bark at it with no fear at all. She was the size of a Husky in her mind.
@@suitov There are so many of the flatfaced dogs today that needs to have surgery in order to breath and needs to have c-section when they give birth and that is only some of the health issues these breeds tend to have. I had to scroll so far to find a comment like this! Too many people don’t know that they live a far less comfortable life than dogs without the snout deformation. Because it is technically a deformity that leads to discomfort. If people could see an xray of a flat faced dogs skull and have a vet explain to them why its hard for them to breathe people wouldn’t think its so cute. Sad that people want ‘cute’ over healthy, easy breathing dogs sometimes. They’re beautiful, sweet dogs and equally deserving of love. But I’m personally against the breeding of dogs with only looks in mind and not comfort and health. Its the same with cats. Long snoots are just as cute.

Pekingese dog was the very first dog breed I owned, seeing both of these fluffballs reminds me of my late pekingese baby Harvey. Your commentary is spot on. Pekinese, Pomeranians and Shih Tzus ... a groomer's worst nightmares. As for "his royal behind", you had me wheezing!
I had a Shih Tzu. He wasn't that bad to groom, actually.
Poms need to be groomed once per season if you do it good no need more.Once every 3-4 month, thats nothing.just brush well before wash and while drying, they got perfect coat,it just hates water and need to be dried good.If owners are not asholes then it’s easy peazy
I hope you and your dogs are doing well
Nah I’d be throwing hands if someone hit my dog.
