Actually Trader Joe’s are owned by Aldi Nord which operates out of Europe. (Owned by one brother) Aldi’s in the US are owned by Aldi Sud, (another brother) a completely different company. While you can find Trader Joe brands in Europe ALDIs, very few are in the US stores. Although similar products exist, no one has even found a connection in manufacturers.
They are both owned by the Albrecht family. Trader Joe's is located in higher income locations. While Aldi is located in lower income locations
Aldi split into two distinct companies in 1960. Aldi Nord bought the already existing Trader Joe's in 1979. At this point, the companies are basically unrelated.
Trader Joe’s has a bagged and frozen Asian and a Spicy Mexican cauliflower rice mix, that you can just dump and heat up in a pan. They’re easy, quick, and so delicious (especially the spicy Mexican one) it has me actually loving cauliflower rice - and trust me, that was a hard sell.
That pizza looks really good! I found some Arnold keto sandwich thins which I use as my pizza base. They come in a pack of six for I think around $5 or $7 at my local grocery store. I used them to try and copy the BBQ pizza that Pizza Hut used to have in the 1980s using Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce, and shredded chicken. It's really good!
This pizza looks amazing!! I will try with Chris Cooking Nashville’s yummy crust. I am hooked on your channel and will never leave you ladies. Twins - speaking from experience with the KA pizza dough mix here - Proof your yeast for 10 minutes in 110 degree F water with one teaspoon of sugar - the yeast will eat all the sugar and create a massive amount of lift / rise to your dough when it proofs for the hour. The W luvs your content : )
That looks great!!! And thanks for the tip to fry the tortillas first if using as a pizza base. I went to buy low carb tortillas and it was buy-one-get-one so I had 16 to use! Breakfast, lunch & dinner. 😂
Ok, my very first RUclips comment. And the reason I'm posting is to say I made the pizza tonight and it was amazing! I pretty much made it exactly as per your directions and it is fabulous. I had to make the garlic spread from scratch and it's good as well. Nothing about the pizza said it was keto and was good for you. Loved it.

Aldi’s & Trader Joe’s carry similar items as both are European companies. They used to be in the same family but each brother took a store so basically are completely different. Aldi’s has added self checkout which is speeding up checkout by tons!

You are so correct... I really believe that the way to be happy long term following the keto dietary lifestyle is To NOT be afraid to make a dish keto... I did that for many years as a vegetarian and vegan where I was the only one of the family choosing to eat that way- I found myself adapting my mom's tried and true recipes into vegetarian form utilizing meat analogs ( sometimes even making my own ) and Seitan and Yuba...
Then removing sugars for my dad when he developed diabetes -following the Keto dietary lifestyle is no different - it can be a challenge but it is fun in the kitchen and when it pleases EVERYONE... that is a huge payoff!

I've purchased that brand of pizza mix and followed the directions for cooking and the middle/anything not on the edge is doughy and mushy. It always seems undercooked. Any advice on that?
Hmmm, that doesn’t happen to us, maybe try to rotate it in the oven midway through cooking?

Would you maybe try... In the produce section, T.J.'s has bagged shredded kohlrabi that some keto folks use as a pasta replacement. I'd love to know what you twins think of it.
