Saul A. Greco V. Really?? 😧 Ugh, I’ve used it in bread recipes. Didn’t know it kicks you out of Ketosis! Would be nice if he could respond back & clear this up....
You'll notice the slices are still a bit flaccid (for lack of a better term:)) and soggy. Reduce the baking temp for the crust to 375 degrees and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. The lower temp with the longer baking time will allow the crust to expel a little more of it's moisture and give it a more pizza crust texture and consistency per slice.

I have tried cauliflour pizza many times and the crust is very flat and thin but I've gotta say this is THE best pizza ever! Thank you for sharing, truly appreciate this receipe! You're the best!
I use Blue Diamond almond flour. It's finely sifted, and you can usually find it on Amazon for about $13 - $15 for a 48 oz bag, about half the cost of Kirkland's.
I used your pizza crust recipe (half mozzarella half cheddar)to make an awesome breakfast pizza minus the spices replaced them with a little salt and pepper. Topped with ground breakfast sausage egg and the cheddar and mozzarella. I made the crust a bit thicker and it turned out great .I already knew the crust would taste good because I'm already a fan of cheese crust pizzas .
Just started the keto diet 2 weeks ago and this looks mouthwatering! I can just imagine people in the comments section running to the grocery store for the ingredients!!!

Joe this was the best keto pizza by far that i have made tge crust so delicious thanks a million your recipes for keto are a game changer for me in this keto world
just done the purist version since i'm more concerned with an insuline spike from a protein isolate than with some calorie count. it is heavier on the stomach than a dough, and it tastes of something different too, but when it got cold it really went down a lot easier.
This is pretty tasty but the "crust" still remains pretty flacid and doesnt have the crunch i want in my pizza. Ive not yet found a recipe other than chaffles that sayisfy that crust crunch for me.
Have you tried cooking slices of exam cheese in the oven for around 10-15 minutes? Wait until they go slightly dark on the sides. Take out leave for a few minutes. They got a nice crunch
Just made this, thank you! I loved it. The dough is tasty. I didn't use protein but 200g almond flour instead (plus the coconout flour). Replaced xantham gum with Chia. I had trouble with the shaping though, since I didn't have parchment paper, it turned out smaller and oval shaped, but so far so good. Very tasty and very happy with it
I used chia seeds that were previously stored in water (3 tsp of water for each tsp of chia seeds). Then I used the same amount of chia to replace the xanthan gum (1/2 tsp).
I tried the fathead though and I was not pleased with it at all so I came across your recipe. I made it last night and only used half and saved the other half for another time. I rolled it nice and thin. It didn't stay together as nice as I had hoped however it's still made a decent crust that I'm happy to be able to use and eat on my keto diet. It was really delicious! And I was extremely surprised. I definitely will recommend this recipe to others. The only thing I did different was I didn't have a whey protein powder but I used my collagen protein powder. I don't know if that made a difference when it came to the binding of the dough. Thank you for the recipe!
Hi Joe, I just made the pizza and it’s pretty good... maybe the best keto pizza I’ve tried... BUT, what is the reason for the coconut flour? I am asking it because I could taste the coconut flavor in the crust. The flavor is too significant for a pizza crust. Can the coconut flour be replaced by something else?
Great recipe! TIP: Add some Psyllium Husk to ad "flour" instead of all that protein... ...just pull the protein a little bit lower and add psyllium and you'll be fine... An egg white will let the crust a little more crunchy, too (and no "eggy" flavor)... If you think you can try it, please, let me know...
Best keto pizza crust I have made, thanks for the recipe! I read the comments and cooked the crust at temp of 375° until brown. I did not use the whey protein nor the coconut flour. I added herbs and butter to the crust and it was delicious!
I don’t usually comment on RUclips videos, but I just wanted to say your videos are great, easy to watch, high quality, and direct to the point, I really like that.
This is a super easy and awesome tasting crust Joe. I made it according to your recipe and loved it. For my kids, I made a coconut free version by substituting the coconut oil and coconut flour with avacado oil and oat fiber (same amount of each). This turned out great as well; just needed to pre-cook the crust 6 minutes at 425F. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
I just made this and it had a diameter of 12 inches and I can definitely say if you do the 14 inch diameter then the crust will definitely be crispier!!!! It was still good and kept up the cheese and sauce and didn't sag as much
Ingredients: -3/4 - 1 cup mozzarella -1/2 cup pizza sauce -1 tablespoon coconut oil -3/2 cup almond flour -2 tablespoon coconut flour -20 g protein powder OR 3/4 cup almond flour -1/2 teaspoon xantham gum -1/2 teaspoon baking powder -Pinch of salt -Pinch of garlic powder -Pinch of garlic powder -2 large eggs
Hi! I love the recipe thank you! Finally I eat pizza without felling sick after. I just found your channel its amazing. I know I am asking late, but I wanted to ask you if I can substitute xanthan gum for tapioca flour or arrowroot flour.
Thank you Joe! I just made this dough, and a pizza. It turned out very good, and I'm getting ready to sit down and chow, with a salad as well! I did not use protein powder, and I used a Tbsp of Olive Oil instead of Coconut Oil. I also added a little tiny bit of Basil to my dough. My toppings were tomato sauce (with meat flavor and spices), Walmart Italian Style shredded cheese (Mozzarella, Romano, Provolone, Parmesan, and Asiago), pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and diced up sweet red peppers, with a little more garlic powder, and black pepper sprinkled on top. This dough is very good, and pretty darn close to regular pizza dough! I'm sure my pizza is not as "keto" as yours here, but it is WAY more low carb than regular pizza! I believe with a little more experimenting with my spices, I'll get it even closer tasting to regular flour dough pizza crust. I just bought 2 pizza pans, so I can make 2 pizzas at a time for football games with my friends!...Peace! 🎼❤
*The crust looks so crispy, and the toppings are mouthwatering. Can't wait to try it and satisfy my pizza cravings without derailing my keto lifestyle.*
Joe Duff - The Diet Chef, just made your recipe. The quantities in grams helped so much for a guaranteed success. It was so delicious and similar to a non-keto pizza, that I almost felt guilty while enjoying it lol. Cheers from Greece! 🇬🇷🍕👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Surprisingly tasty. I swapped olive oil for coconut oil and added a little extra salt and Italian seasoning in the crust and I'm glad I did because it cut down the natural sweetness. I suggest rolling it out as thin as possible, because my first effort was a little too thick and the consistency was slightly off. I like making cauliflower crust pizza and I have a really good recipe for it, but its time consuming and only slightly better tasting than this simple recipe. Well done my friend, this recipe is a keeper.
I liked it, it was different but not better than fathead dough, I might have undercooked the crust. I followed exact time and temp and also substituted almond flour for the protien like you stated. My crust wasnt as browned as I'd like or crispy, also when I tried to even slightly fold it, it crumbled and broke. The pros to fathead is it has that pizza elasticity still like traditional pizza, also the coconut oil gave it a slight coconut taste which wasnt terrible for me at all but might not be for everyone. Overall, nice alternative to fathead pizza!

I'm one of those.
Just baked this. Really liked it. Only note is to maybe add some more salt to the crust, make sure to season the sauce( I used onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and basil and added minced garlic as a topping) and make sure to have enough sauce... this recipe turns out fantastic.
It was just me eating so I have half still ready for the next use.
Loved it! Thanks
dude... it took me like half hour to make this, how do you come up with this in 10 minutes?
koncepto took me 3 hour and I still fuck it up

I totally agree. He's legit....I'll be honest I watch a lot of RUclips and make Keto recipes all the time from other RUclipsrs and I have to say between Joe and this other channel, I'm continually make his dishes. I try others but the quality isn't as good and most are just the same recipe but Joe seams to give it a twist that really sets him apart from the others. Plus he seams to make it fun. Even the kids like Joe.

You have the best keto recipies. The keto chocolate ice cream was great. Your keto cheesecake was better than others i tried. Cant wait to try this. Thank you!
It was more than awesome. I handled the slice like an elastic piece. It never scrumbled or broken. So cool. Just a litle bit coconut smell, I think to replace coconut oil with olive oil next time.
Just made this. Subbed out the coconut oil for olive oil. Also used a little Italian herb seasoning when mixing the dry ingredients to give the crust a bit more flavor. Baked at 375 for 12-13 minutes. Then added toppings, and put it under the high broil setting for maybe 3 minutes, you just have to keep an eye on it. This was a major hit in our household.
Great idea to sub coconut oil with olive oil. How did the crust come out? Wasn’t it too dry like biscuit or crackers ?
I just love how almost every recipe you post I usually ALWAYS have the ingredients! When I don’t have an ingredient you have a substitute option 😂 joe you’re amazing! 🤩👏👏👏
Well, I can’t say that mine came out as good as yours. But I can say that my second one came out way better than my first!
Made this twice and currently eating it! I add some flavours when adding the toppings, but the base is what’s important to me and this one is perfect! Thanks for sharing :)
Ive made this at least 5 times in the past 3 weeks, seriously so good. Much better than fathead dough. Thanks Joe!
Is it eggy?

The best recipe tried to date. Instead of protein powder, I substituted collagen powder. Worked great.
Joe this was the best keto pizza by far that i have made tge crust so delicious thanks a million your recipes for keto are a game changer for me in this keto world
Just made this last night and I loved it! Just felt like it tasted more coconut then everything else. Thinking of adding more seasoning next time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm completely taking out the coconut flour next time, we'll see how it goes
Pretty good but I found the coconut taste to be pretty strong, not sure if its from the coconut flour or the oil. Any alternatives?
Use butter
Thank you! I've been doing well with Keto but man I miss pizza.
just done the purist version since i'm more concerned with an insuline spike from a protein isolate than with some calorie count. it is heavier on the stomach than a dough, and it tastes of something different too, but when it got cold it really went down a lot easier.
It’s in the oven now! Can’t wait to try it! Honesty I’ve tried many of your things and I’m yet to be disappointed. Thank you and keep up the great job
How did it turn out?
Kazia Thornhill it was okay! Not the best I don’t think
Way to tempting. I have zero control when it comes to pizza. I’d eat the whole thing. Would have to make a mini version 😂
Cook it on a hot pizza stone.

@@maensammour7317 How it turned out
Just made this, thank you! I loved it. The dough is tasty. I didn't use protein but 200g almond flour instead (plus the coconout flour). Replaced xantham gum with Chia. I had trouble with the shaping though, since I didn't have parchment paper, it turned out smaller and oval shaped, but so far so good. Very tasty and very happy with it
did you use ground chia seeds or whole?
I used chia seeds that were previously stored in water (3 tsp of water
for each tsp of chia seeds). Then I used the same amount of chia to
replace the xanthan gum (1/2 tsp).
@@DiegoSnip thanks for answering
Agreed, it reminded me a bit of "banana bread" flavor.
Sanavan you can change the coconut oil for olive oil. It will taste more like pizza and diminish the coconut taste.
It's not the flour, it's the oil! Replace the coconut oil for olive oil. I'll do it next time for sure!
I did the same thing except split the almond flour with ground flax seed! Way good! Thanks for this! 80g flax 80g almond flour
Thanks for mentioning you did not use the coconut flour. I'll give it a try now that I know it works without it.
I don’t usually comment on RUclips videos, but I just wanted to say your videos are great, easy to watch, high quality, and direct to the point, I really like that.
Eating this right now!!! Very good pizza. Satisfied my pizza fix❤
I wanted to ask, do you think I could froze the dough in order to avoid doing it from scratch next time?? And if so for how long can I do so?
You definitely could after baking. Pre-baked, not sure.
I just made this and it had a diameter of 12 inches and I can definitely say if you do the 14 inch diameter then the crust will definitely be crispier!!!! It was still good and kept up the cheese and sauce and didn't sag as much

The comments are so helpful. Literally going to make some notes and then try this at the weekend. Thanks everyone.
Ingredients:
-3/4 - 1 cup mozzarella
-1/2 cup pizza sauce
-1 tablespoon coconut oil
-3/2 cup almond flour
-2 tablespoon coconut flour
-20 g protein powder OR 3/4 cup almond flour
-1/2 teaspoon xantham gum
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-Pinch of salt
-Pinch of garlic powder
-Pinch of garlic powder
-2 large eggs
How many tsp is 20 grams of protein powder
Omg thank you for listing the ingredients
really appreciate this!
Hi! I love the recipe thank you! Finally I eat pizza without felling sick after. I just found your channel its amazing. I know I am asking late, but I wanted to ask you if I can substitute xanthan gum for tapioca flour or arrowroot flour.
doesn?t it taste like a coco-pizza?
I backed this recipe today and it just so good! Thank you! I used the protein powder recipe. Thanks again! Love your channel. Cheers!

Is it the gluten that's the bad thing with flour dough?
no, the main issue is the carb count. On the keto diet, you can have 25 grams of carbs a day, less than 20 if you're just starting
@@fiend-off-the-grid carbs don't make you fat
@@adgamez1311 yes, they do. I mean, think about it for a second. The Standard American Diet is the _only_ one worldwide that recommends such a high intake of processed grains, such as cereals and bread, and we have the highest obesity rates of any of them. the SAD has been changed marginally over the years, but has consistently kept the same high recommendation of processed carbs
@@fiend-off-the-grid That still doesn't mean carbs make you fat. Eating like an idiot does. You can get/stay lean eating more carbs than the keto carb limit. Keto definitely has its merit, but eating a balanced diet while not overdoing the calories won't make you fat because it has carbs in it.
@@renaldomariano8612 fair point, but I should also mention that calorie counting doesn't tend to work well, as many of calorie counts on labels are inaccurate within a certain percentile, can't remember the figure off the top of my head

When the ingredients formed into a ball of dough...huge smile appears. I see the light, there is hope, I can have pizza on keto...
I halved everything (dry ingredients by grams where applicable) and made 4 jars of dry ingredients (so I have 4 jars of 1/2 recipe). Tonight I dumped the dry ingredients in a bowl and mixed with 1 tbsp of coconut oil and 1 large egg. Proceed as Joe instructs. Very good.
That looks a lot easier to mix than fat head dough. No running back and forth to the microwave to keep it pliable.
