How is everyone missing the moon and Jupiter dancing together on the 3rd and 4th of September?
I think these sessions sounds like theraphy to the ears:)) It is great to share them Alyn Wallace. They are motivating our hobbies on monthly basis.
+1
I’m sitting out right now shooting time lapse and catching some meteors. Can’t wait for a chance to see another comet.
138k followers now omg think you had about 8k when i first started following u so well deserved my friend awesome work
Supporting me since the beginning dude thanks!
Super big brightness thing in the sky!!! So blessed to have my eyes witness this moment super grand!!!
I heard about the comet the other day, thanks for giving such consise short information. I really enjoy the what's in the sky.
Great video Alyn cheers 🌌😉
Yup Alyn another fabulous video wishing u well my friend CS
Ice can be beautiful
There is so much light pollution where I live were lucky to see the moon when it's full. 😢
Trying to get a real shot of the comet! So excited!
Was out shooting auroras last night in south central Alaska. Got home and started editing photos and to my surprise I caught the comet very faintly
Thank you for your excellent information ..Continued Success & Good Health…Northeastern Ontario 🇨🇦
Like a living schedule, so luxury :) Thanks alot
Bro I am get addicted to your channel ❤️🌌
Alyn, you are amazing ! I like your new style !
Amazing information. I love this channel
I tried for the comet on September 2nd but the horizon was hazy and cloudy and light polluted so no luck
Waiting for your October guide Alyn. 👌🏾🧘🏾♂️👌🏾
+4.8 at September 8, at 6 degrees elevation with twilight increasing (at 30°N latitude), doesn't really scream naked eye visible to me but that's not going to stop me from trying. Thanks for the video Alyn!
I like your spirit!
@@AlynWallacedude, not everyone lives in the Northern Hemisphere... No actual description of where to find it...
Did I miss it 😕 🤔
Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much is fabulou!👏🏻👏🏻💕💕🙏🏻
Wow! I just about freaked out! I was taking out the trash tonight and looked up at the night sky like I always do. And I saw this row of lights. Probably at least 15-20.. I instantly thought oh Lord! This is it... Well, turns out its Elon's freaking star link craziness. Which I only realized when I RUclips'd and found your site. Thank you for calming my fears! Lol. Plus, really cool channel! :)
Andromeda galaxy is also nice and high in the east (northern hemisphere). I love finding galaxies
You were an engineer previously? Good to see you take those practices and apply them to photography. It makes the content easily digestible.
I have seeing the Heileah comet, the Hale Bob , the Shoemaker, the Neo Wise , the green halo and will love to see this one!,!
I hope the comet will at least reach a 2 magnitude, haven’t seen a really bright comet like that before
I saw a meteor last night in Illinois
Thanks!!
i love your channel
Thanks a lot
I have not seen you for so long❤
I just went out for a spur of the moment jog around the block and I saw this comet! I thought it was a plane at first until I saw the incredibly long trail. It was in and out of my vision in maybe a minute! I'm so lucky. Spotted from Mt. Plymouth, Florida around 12:15am on sept 4, started from the west and went northeast!
edit: I wonder if what I saw was just a very bright meteor and not this comet, really cool anyways. I've seen shooting stars but never as bright and big and with such a trail. The trail stretched across the sky!
My daughter and I spotted driving north on I-95 from Sublime Concert. Awesome!
If it was very bright and streaked across the sky it's likely a meteor and not the comet (which is faint and stays in the same position like the stars)
turns out it was SpaceX's Dragon reentering the atmosphere :)
Heading to Iceland for two weeks next week, hoping to catch some aurora images!
Good luck with the rainy weather... -.-
What approximate focal length would you suggest would be useful to capture the comet?
I'm off to see the northern lights in two weeks!!! Butt I've never actually seen or photographed anything like them, any tips? I don't wanna botch it haha
also you might wanna fix the timestamps in the description
Updated thanks. I have a few videos shooting the aurora and a book that covers everything in detail
Alyn, hope you'll accept Aurora Australis photos
I have a old nikon D3200, and no sure if get lends for AP or get a better camera and lends, I don't wanna waste money in things that may fall short in the future, thx
i can see a bright star right now but no others from scotland?
The moon is not lit by direct sunlight. Sunlight reflects off the atmosphere to focus
Enjoyed this, thanks for putting it together. The lip-sync seemed to be a bit off though 😞
this possible to see in bortle 8-9 skies?
your chapter marker for the northern lights is labeled wrong bud!
I tried to find the comet, no luck
apparently its also peak smog season in Turkey 2023/24
👍👍👍❤❤👏👏
Where/how to see Northern Lights in U.S?
ALAN - 7:19
Nishimura C/2023 P 1 seems to be on a collision coarse with the star Gaile in the Stellarium app any confirmation on this?
Nishimura is currently in our solar system, that star is lightyears away.
It will be a near-miss (relatively).
ALAN - A young , LANA TURNER is just left of the Milky Way line, opposite the line SEE Napoleon Bonaparte, , ( actor who played him ), he is just above Shirley Temple. Sir, I’m not making this up, more on the Left with LANA, above and below, they are really there 🙂
Hey Alyn, great video, looking forward to getting a better photographer this month!
Little question, what about a short break scene (rather a frame with the title) between each chapter, maybe like 3 seconds long. For me personally it feels like your talking very fast and jumping from chapter to chapter. Don’t know if you think the same,
Great video, thanks for the effort!
Thanks for the feedback!
How do you get the ultra wide view in sky guide?
Using iPad app and just zooming out. You might need to reinstall if you cant zoom out
Video felt kinda little rushed... Don't know if it's just me... Though found one or two similar opinions here... you could look into it... Anyways, your videos are always inspirational and educative to watch... Thanks man.
Appreciate the feedback. Made this video very last minute after returning from holiday :)
I'm a bit confused about the comet being visible just before dawn, then changing from being an evening target to a morning target, being visible after sunset.... Am I missing something?
Yes, likewise.
It didn’t make sense the way he said it.
I’ve watched it a few times and he says you can see it (assuming you can - since not naked eye) for a few hours before dawn (morning, right?, a few hours before sunrise),
Then Sept 13th changes from an evening target to a morning target…
????
So…it was already a morning target.
@ark-astrophotography915 And after sunset would be an evening target...
Mistakes happen, but so very few seem to notice...
I caught it too.
In my area of Scotland you can't see any stars because of light pollution and clouds
Is it worth to go seek at Japan?!?!?!?
Alyn - thanks for the video, but can you clarify when it’s visible
It doesn’t seem to make sense the way you explained it.
I’ve watched it a few times and you say you can see it (assuming you can - since not naked eye) for a few hours before dawn (morning, right?, a few hours before sunrise),
Then Sept 13th changes from an evening target to a morning target…
????
So…it was already a morning target.
So is it visible at night right now and morning later or vice versa?
Thanks!
I said the words wrong hence there's an on screen correction that says "switches from morning to evening" target.
For now its in the east in the morning and around the 13th it switches to being in the west in the evenings (if it survives)
@@AlynWallace thank you very much!
I missed the corrected text on the video.
Which country I will see this , iam indian
Hi I’d like to buy your book. Please send me the link.
It's the first link in the video description
whats with the chapters on this video being of last month
Good ol' copy and paste error :) Updated them now thanks
No more adventures??!
did i missed it
"naked eye visible" - I'm skeptical.
It's now naked eye visible
i hear the pain in your voice when you say “super moon” LMAO
ALAN - JOHN LENNON top left of dark Milky Way , 7:24 your vid time, not a prank, please look
see you next year Milky Way now good bye😢
ALAN start at 7:17 , magnify screen a bit ( not much) SEE Boris Karloff AS Character Frankenstein, low right. NOW SEE , just above him, a young Shirley Temple ( honest It’s, they are easily seen ).ALAN, the dark milky way center separates 3 faces on the right, more on the Left, PLEASE SEE 🫢
God created the universe so no living creatures know what other living creatures there really is in a never-ending universe 🌌
The comet is only there during the day lol already day light guys you won't see the comet without a scope 😅😅 what a joke
Depends on your latitude. Southern Hemisphere observers are disadvantaged right now but that will change
@@AlynWallace I'm in Australia but I don't think it will be visible during dark hours just moring when it's way to bright sadly 😞
