I instantly thought oh Lord! This is it... Well, turns out its Elon's freaking star link craziness. Which I only realized when I RUclips'd and found your site. Thank you for calming my fears! Lol. I just went out for a spur of the moment jog around the block and I saw this comet! I thought it was a plane at first until I saw the incredibly long trail. It was in and out of my vision in maybe a minute! I'm so lucky. Spotted from Mt. Plymouth, Florida around 12:15am on sept 4, started from the west and went northeast!
    edit: I wonder if what I saw was just a very bright meteor and not this comet, really cool anyways. I've seen shooting stars but never as bright and big and with such a trail. The trail stretched across the sky!

      If it was very bright and streaked across the sky it's likely a meteor and not the comet (which is faint and stays in the same position like the stars)

    Hey Alyn, great video, looking forward to getting a better photographer this month!
    Little question, what about a short break scene (rather a frame with the title) between each chapter, maybe like 3 seconds long. For me personally it feels like your talking very fast and jumping from chapter to chapter. Don’t know if you think the same,

    I'm a bit confused about the comet being visible just before dawn, then changing from being an evening target to a morning target, being visible after sunset.... Am I missing something?

    • @ark-astrophotography915
      @ark-astrophotography915 9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, likewise.
      It didn’t make sense the way he said it.
      I’ve watched it a few times and he says you can see it (assuming you can - since not naked eye) for a few hours before dawn (morning, right?, a few hours before sunrise),
      Then Sept 13th changes from an evening target to a morning target…
      ????
      So…it was already a morning target.

    • @wkrijthe
      @wkrijthe 9 месяцев назад

      @ark-astrophotography915 And after sunset would be an evening target...

    Alyn - thanks for the video, but can you clarify when it’s visible
    It doesn’t seem to make sense the way you explained it.
    I’ve watched it a few times and you say you can see it (assuming you can - since not naked eye) for a few hours before dawn (morning, right?, a few hours before sunrise),
    Then Sept 13th changes from an evening target to a morning target…
    ????
    So…it was already a morning target.
    So is it visible at night right now and morning later or vice versa?
    Thanks!

    • @AlynWallace
      @AlynWallace  9 месяцев назад +1

      I said the words wrong hence there's an on screen correction that says "switches from morning to evening" target.
      For now its in the east in the morning and around the 13th it switches to being in the west in the evenings (if it survives)
