I already do the Stand on One Leg (Stroke this past November), but I cannot do The Bird Dog with or without modifications as I have arthritis and swollen bursae in both knees (I'm 62), and in both ankles. I had to stop doing any exercises on the floor and on my knees after doing gentle yoga since 1991 or 1992. I'm sure these exercises will help many people who stop by, and your energy is very appealing. You glow! Something for not just you, but many other very fit, and often (by my standards), young: Seek out old(er) people with multiple problems, whether post-stroke, obese, arthritic, bursitis, and on and on: Some of us rack up injuries as we head downhill, e.g. I can't do lunges or squats since a hiking accident chaperoning teens back in 1991. I had an unusual, although not "rare" tibia-fibula fraction with a 3rd degree ligament tear. I hope you keep on with sharing what you do, and go on to expand for whom you're demonstrating your work. Your enthusiasm, fitness level, and confidence are awesome. ~Carolyn P.S. Advising people to have a wall or chair nearby would be terrific. I couldn't work out without the walls in my small yoga area, my walker, and a sturdy chair that I use when my rescue cat, Kizzie isn't in it. 🙂

Thank you for this, I am a truck driver and am going to another company, they have you do a physical of lifting 50 pounds from the ground to a shelf, going up steps with it, back down steps with it, crouching under a table as if you are under the trailer, pulling against 50-75 pounds, pushing against 50-75 pounds and balance on one leg. I never had issues with this in the past but I tried the other day balancing on one leg and I couldn't even make it at first but 3-5 seconds so I am working on this. If you are able to, will you make a video using items you could do in a big truck and maybe title it Inside Truck exercises for Truck Drivers, drivers are always looking for ways to stay in shape on the road? Thank you and God Bless you and your family in this time.

Can you explain why it’s so hard to stand on one foot for more than a few minutes? I can only do it for about ten minutes and it’s very painful. It doesn’t make sense to me. If I can stand on two feet for hours and hours and feel fine, why is it so hard to do the same thing with one leg? Shouldn’t I be able to stand on one leg for at least several hours? I know it’s a dumb question but it has been bothering me that I can’t explain it and I can’t find any answers online.
