Having been estranged from my parents for two years a long time ago, I can tell you that is gonna become a huge regret for both parties (unless there's some kinda dark history that viewers aren't privy to). I'm now the early-retired, long-divorced, single father of an only daughter (the best any father could wish for), who cares for his own parents who suffer from advanced dementia. They no longer remember who I am, or that they're still in their home. They live a horrible existence filled with sleeplessness, confusion, and mood swings. It's a "zero" quality of life that I'd wish on nobody because of what that disease does. As a son, and having heard the same sentiments from my parents some while back, those are two years longed for that we won't get back. I'd urge anybody, if there's a chance to repair a family relationship, however small, every effort should be made.

Whatever people opinions are. The original company would not have developed without Paul Jr and his concepts of bike building. It's a family business but he was the one who really put the company on the level and had people watching the shows for so long.
Occ is still in business I remember a myrtle beach bike week they showed up at and they couldn't keep the bikes put together. Nuts and bolts were falling off the things going down the road. But hey I've always thought they were garbage bikes. And it looks like they built a dumpster for the bikes.
I had the opportunity of visiting OCC during the grand opening of their first store in NY. My son 15 years old at the time got a personal behind the scenes tour of OCC. That day he got a piece of art drawn on the back of his T shirt by none other than visiting custom car builder, Chip Foose. Thank goodness I still have the photos and the T shirt of Foose drawing on my sons T while he was standing as Chip drew a Kool 32 Rod on his T. The guys at OCC back in the day treated us like family. I even got all the guys T shirts representing Canada and the 2X Paul Sr's Arms and chest is so muscular he could not even get it on. lol. Thanks for the great videos.

I was thinking this too and they have travelled to the UK with these bikes and up close they are awful I'm yet to see a really nice smart customer bike instead of the hotdog Mustang NASA chainsaw themed bike

Yuppie……Beard isn’t a real Biker ..he’s a RUclipsr Yuppie …not a Macanic not a builder ..just a rich RUclipsr that fools YUPPIES !
Backyard Choppers, WRONG. OCC went bankrupt in 2020.

Thing is every bike I've seen on here Paul jr designed!!
We visited the original restaurant and the big building in Newburgh NY years ago. OCC motorcycles are fun to look at, but I'd never want one as my regular ride.
They built better bikes before they were famous, and you could see it in the quality of the later bikes. Occ built a few bagger style choppers but they were awful.

It must be known that Paul Jr built and designed those bikes. Now some of them were designed by other guys. But in the early days Paul Jr designed those bikes. He went to the different people and drew sketches for them. Paul Sr did nothing. From what I saw on the show. Paul Sr was busy with his Iron works company.
Paul jr didn’t use a pc he did everything on paper

@@cycledrag the fire bike is probably the best one there. A lot of thought went behind it and they used a lot of other peoples ideas/memories that went into that build not just focused around building any standard chopper. They put a few custom touches to it that were pretty cool like the hydrant. They built it to honor the lost people due to the tragic, so I'd say that ranks up there for being a great build.
