@@Kaypers Well, it seems to be a pretty common opinion that DH will be mid in War Within, from the uninspired Hero Talents to apparently mediocre output. And that's without the 5% handicap not playing Momentum will bring ( I have no intention of playing that, I think it is fundamentally bad for the DH class fantasy to use your mobility to do damage )
@@VDA19 I wouldn’t put too much weight on preliminary ‘dps tier lists’ or anything similar to that before the expansion even launches. Those numbers will change based on gear/tuning/other circumstances such as raid comp needs and m+ comp as the season goes and everything could change so fast. It’s better to play what you enjoy and stick with it because you never know for certain if your class will be good or not.
@@VDA19 I don't like to play Momentum, but I find it very fitting to the DH class fantasy. A hunter attacking overpowering demons, killing them with a thousand cuts, moving out of reach, and then coming back to hit their weak points. It is visually similar to Illidan in Heroes of the Storm.
@@jeromenancyfr The whole Demon Hunter class fantasy is that they are very mobile. If you have to use your mobility to do damage then you're running away like everyone else when you have to dodge a mechanic. You turn yourself into a wheelchair class to do damage. That's the complete opposite of what DH should be.

Seeing Demon Hunter's only DPS spec behind other 20 melee specs hurts.
It's just my subjective opinion on it, I know lots of people who love the spec just fine. I just can't tolerate the fel rush/momentum playstyle.
