I have been to Pattaya twice this year. Back again in a few weeks. I think high season is over forever. The place was not busy even last January. In June it was a ghost town, even at 10 pm at night. I really enjoyed this video. I also watched a couple of your other ones too. You get right down to what I wanna know - good man. In this one you also showed some interesting video about the place in question. I'm going to Pattaya for the first time ever in January 2020 - this being my second ever trip to Thailand. I was in Thailand in 1994, haha, 25 years ago. (the first time). I went to Bangkok for two nights and Koh Sumui for a few weeks. I remember playing 'One night in Bangkok' on the duke box at my hotel, in Bangkok on the patio outside in the evening. And in Koh Samui one guy said, 'Yeah, it was really good in in the past, but it's too commercialized now" Back then, I'm not sure, but I seem to remember thinking beer was the equivalent to about a £1 a bottle at that time. Anyhow as per your video here I think I can afford the beer so I'm going.
I made the mistake of going early mid Oct to early nov one year..never again, pissed it down constantly Worse months are sept, Oct and early nov as the rainy season lasts longer these last few years Went April 2018 and no were near as much rain
I prefer low season ,Pattaya is a pretty chilled place without the crowds , I prefer it that way, I go in July , low crowds and have been lucky with the weather, seen very little rain in 10 years of going that time of year.
hi Eddie, 55 baht a bottle of heineken? maybe it's locally brewed. other than that, i prefer the "quiet september pattaya":-), maybe because my very first thai visit was in september (1987), compared with the crowdy pattaya december. i saw you bare-chested, hope you didn't swim in that filthy pattaya water! nice pics and informative vlog as always. thumb up #445
Hi, Pique. Heineken is widespread in Vietnam as well, and it tastes like the real thing to me. As for Pattaya's water, well, I've never actually swam in it. It never looks inviting to me. Hope you're having a great weekend, mate.
I've been to Cartagena a couple of times, although the last time was 10 years ago. It was a great town for nightlife and mongering. Now with all the Venezuelan chicas there I hear that there are good times to be had. Enjoy.

Welcome back Eddie if you fancy a look around the Dark Side aka East Pattaya let me know I am sure it would make a very interesting Vlog visiting some of the bars that the expats use not the tourists Regards Richard
Any recommendations thanks Richard??
Ed. Just wondering about the Thai $ issues.....Are there any home countries cheaper than Thailand now? Bangladesh maybe? Also, that music is so relaxing.. Thanks, Robert.
Hi, Robert. Cambodia is cheaper that Thailand for most things, and Vietnam is probably still good value overall.
Thanks. Actually, i was being a little sarcastic about the angry expats wanting to leave Thailand. So I meant "home" as their own countries. I am so "witty" Yes, Cambodia and Vietnam are cheaper. But I still like Thailand. Much variety and the ladies are so nice. Waiting for your next vlog.
Cheers, mate. January probably best month to be here.
My god it's very quiet for September but @ 38 ish bhat to the pound its to be expected. Such a shame !!!
I made the mistake of going early mid Oct to early nov one year..never again, pissed it down constantly
Worse months are sept, Oct and early nov as the rainy season lasts longer these last few years
Went April 2018 and no were near as much rain
I prefer low season ,Pattaya is a pretty chilled place without the crowds , I prefer it that way, I go in July , low crowds and have been lucky with the weather, seen very little rain in 10 years of going that time of year.
hi Eddie,
55 baht a bottle of heineken? maybe it's locally brewed. other than that, i prefer the "quiet september pattaya":-), maybe because my very first thai visit was in september (1987), compared with the crowdy pattaya december. i saw you bare-chested, hope you didn't swim in that filthy pattaya water! nice pics and informative vlog as always. thumb up #445
Hi, Pique. Heineken is widespread in Vietnam as well, and it tastes like the real thing to me. As for Pattaya's water, well, I've never actually swam in it. It never looks inviting to me. Hope you're having a great weekend, mate.
£3 a pint is not cheap were I come from
Steady Eddie's back right on brother! I saw a glimpse of the Tahitian Queen lol the memories... Videos lookin good keep'em coming,,, Cheers buddy!
What's pattaya like nowadays Eddie is it still ridiculously expensive for a lady or has the prices gone down mate?
The reason it's quite is because the beer isn't cheap. Unless your there for the beautiful beach !
Ed the best bargains on drink are sailor bar soi 8. Cocktails at 60 bhatt and proper
glad to you back ! Great video your real pro Ed
Wet season overated it's not like its wet all day all night its tropical rain comes and goes after couple of hours or less
I am in Cartahenga, Colombia, cheaper beer, cheaper chicas, great fun to be had here, not the same as Pattaya bar scene....but no shortage of company
Pablo Escobar ?
I've been to Cartagena a couple of times, although the last time was 10 years ago. It was a great town for nightlife and mongering. Now with all the Venezuelan chicas there I hear that there are good times to be had. Enjoy.
@@davothefirst9371 Pablo Escobar died more than 25 years ago.
Have you got on to any coke?
@@Daniel26448 plenty offered non taken
I love those Soi 8 Beach bars in the afternoon ✅Cheap beer and good place to people watch ⁉️👍🤔🤣😂🤣😂💰💰

@6:39 How often does the health inspector come 'round to the street food vendors?
Great video as usual, Eddie, and thanks for including the Canadian exchange rate. Looking forward to you visiting some of the live rock clubs.
Anymore videos Edward, really got into your last 1.
Nice video Eddie, I wish I was there.
So what do farangs do when it rains all day and the bars are empty?
Nice video thanks
What’s the evening prices? As I’ve paid 80 baht for a Leo Lek in and around Soi Bercow.
Hi, Robert. There are plenty of places where you can get 70 baht beer in the evening. Walking Street more expensive.
Just grab one at 711 and walk down the streets.
Place was dead when I visited in May, but still good value regardless.
when does the rainy season end as I wanted to go to Bangkok end of November?
Hi, bizzman4u. Rainy season ends around November.
Take it from me pal.. Pattaya n puket over rated. Especially Pattaya.. Phnom Penh cheap and cheesy sleazy... Go to saigon my lad...
Rainy season ends round January February time
Late Sept and early October is my fave time to visit Thailand. More dry days than wet days.
No crowds. No need for advance reservations.
CHEAPER RATES.
Thanks for including CAD ;)
cheers mate
Chiang Mai is also very very quiet. I was there a couple weeks ago.
Nice video. What camera and equipment do you use?
Hi, Mate. Just the Canon G7x mark 2.
Eddie do me a favour please mate. Can you pop into Soi Pothole & go to my mates bar...Molly Malones....ask for Graham....tell him Stocksy said give me a beer lol. He's a scouser & would love the attention on your channel. Cheers mate
The beer is cheaper than England, doesn't mean it's cheap
Pretty much the same price now to be honest for anything other than Singha, Leo, and Chang.
@@youngandfree93 so it is cheaper then lol
@@stevie-b Any imported beers in Thailand cost even more than in western countries. Things much more expensive now.
@@youngandfree93 I'm here now and average price is alot cheaper than the uk,if you drink imports then it will be more expensive that's the same in any country,if you buy a bottle of singha in england your looking at paying £3.50 upwards or 132 baht over twice the price of thailand
@@stevie-b yeah but you can only drink local beers for so long and Thai beer to be honest isn't even close to the best. The import taxes for beer are much higher than back home. It's insane. Go to Japan and beers at 711 are much cheaper than here too. Such a disappointment.
Steady Eddie, I know that exercise/drink routine too. Exercise more so you can slim down and drink more.
Cheers Ed - spare a thought for us back in the UK with everyone still at each others throats over Brexit.
Be interesting to get a hotel review of where you have set up your HQ this time
Remoaners are at people's throats.
Mr. Sweeney rides again with a whole troop of punters in tow behind.
Ed....I don't sleep well on planes. So on the long flights I spend a few hundred extra for premium economy. Plenty elbow and leg room. The slightest touch can wake me up. So with prem. econ. I might feel a little more rested.
Hi, Robert. I just keep telling myself that the travel is the worst bit, but it will soon be over and I'll be having fun.
Nice vlog matey.ill be there mid October
