  • Check out this awesome and unique cam strap! We are always looking for the best tie down options for our landscape business. You can never have enough tie downs. These would be great for motorcycle tie down straps. In the past we have used similar straps with elasticity and they work much better than your traditional nylon webbing straps (cam or ratchet).

    I dont know how much i like how when you release it the strap is whipped from it under pressure

    • @ThriftyGarage
      @ThriftyGarage  2 года назад +1

      The manufacturer recommends that you hold the tail with slight pressure. It takes the added tension away from the release. It’s a non issue if you follow their recommendation. I was not aware at the time I filmed this video.

    Clever!
    I have had that same problem. I use a conventional hook, cam strap to tie down stuff in the back of my Gator. Often times it is soft or spongy… like bagged tents, soft coolers, backpacks and the like.
    Being jarred and bounced has thrown a strap off more then once…. These straps just might be the answer to that problem!

      It’s definitely a nice solution for an age old problem!

      My favorite cam straps by far! Works great for ATV and dirt bike. If you need a ratchet strap there may be some other good options.

      @@ThriftyGarage I need it for my mowers. I use the ShockStrap now but seems to loosen easily!! I seen that ShockStrap came out with an extension where you use your own ratchet on.

    I see that you've reviewed the Tork straps and the Shock straps. Based on your use of them both, which would you recommend for tying down a large UTV on a trailer?

    • @ThriftyGarage
      @ThriftyGarage  5 месяцев назад +1

      I love the TorkStrap for ATVs and Dirt Bikes. But for the heavier suspension on a UTV I would recommend ShockStraps so you can ratchet.

      They absolutely did work! I also use them to strap down the dirt bike and atv. Works great, especially on a vehicle with suspension.

      @Thrifty Garage BTW. Decent review. I might try these. I use them to hold hot air balloon equipment in my truck or trailer. I usually use ratchet straps. I have no problem using those but this system looks pretty nice and I like that it will stay tight under most load shifting.

    • @ThriftyGarage

      I’m really a fan of the stork Straps. It’s not the right strap for every application. But if it’s a dynamic load I think they do better than ratchet straps.
