I’ve been using the @tork_strap gear for a while now and it’s definitely fit for purpose in my opinion.
Check out what the pros and cons of the straps are and if they suit your needs.
@essential4x439 have given me a promo code so you guys get free delivery. A4X4A
Just bought my first serious 4WD (Y61 Patrol) to hit the road with my photography gear and dogs. As a mature woman who's just a tiny bit nervous, I REALLY appreciate your reviews. Thank you SO much Steve.
Hi Steve, an awesome totally unbiased review. I enjoyed it. I have found these to be a great application as you know I am an end user also! For many of us these are brilliant.
For those serious loads a large ratchet is required.
Swags, trailers, dirt bikes, wood etc. perfect!
More than anything thank you for the kind words, thank you for paying full retail for these, not even coming to me. You didn’t even tell me you purchased- but I personally pack them and saw your name. I am humbled by the support. 🙏🏻

Steve great video mate they look mint! That nose whistle had me captivated!!😂😂😂
😂. Me too. I thought about re shooting it all but it was just another element of sound design 😝
@@Australian4x4Adventuresno mate never. Thats sort of stuff i love hahaha makes it raw and real
My main takeaway - ratchet straps are way stronger than I thought. But thanks, when loading half-empty, crushable cardboard boxes, I’ll chuck an occy strap on the end of my motorbike tie-downs. Cheers
Each have their own uses and both are good at what they do
Just did a 5000km road trip with 3 swags on the roof of the canopy. Drove the Ivanhoe to Menindee road, 190km dirt. Got into Menindee and noticed the 2 bags of fire wood missing. No harm. Then noticed the centre swag missing. Thankfully the road was not well used and we only had to back track 25km to a train crossing to find the swag. Sitting happily in the sitting across the centre of the road in the blind spot of the hump as you cross the train line.! Also found the firewood as well. I reckon these straps with the spring would have saved us. Will look into them more.
Don’t forget the promo code to save ya some $$ if you do end up buying them
Really could have used a set or 2 of them over the last fortnight while moving house. Trying to tie things down on my trailer with ratchet straps was a pain because one end would always fall off. Plus as you mentioned the tangles are a pain. Good idea with the spring to keep that tension on even if things shift.
Well at least ya get the promo code to save you a few bucks when ya go buy some now 😝
@@Australian4x4Adventures yeah true lol. I've seen them in videos before but never actually knew how they worked. Expensive but they look good especially for strapping things to the roof
You can't beat mechanical advantage, I measured about 250kg of tension with a load cell on a 2500kg ratchet strap.
Chocking the strap reduces the SWL by 20%, also those ends with gates are only a matter of time until they're stuffed, much better off with a hook and loop arrangement.
The kinetic element is interesting though. My only concern is if it lets go under tension.
Though, there's a reason none of that stuff is used in industry.
For a commercial application I probably wouldn’t recommend them, I agree there.
For the most part I think the tension they provide is adequate for 95% of applications they domestic use would throw at it.
@@Australian4x4Adventures fair enough, though for little to no extra inconvenience, why compromise.
just used your code...... thank you
Legend. Glad it helped
Should try rolling your straps after using them
I used to roll them up everytime but considering I use them 2-3 times a week I was spending so much time just rolling straps up all the time.
Think you need to do a training course on how to roll up your straps 🤣They only take a couple of mins to roll them up correctly & ready for use next time...
Hahah. I used to roll them up all the time. But using them 2-3 times a week I was spending too much time rolling straps instead of just getting the job done 😆
@@Australian4x4Adventures Yep i hear ya...
Great video, Looks like good quality gear . Question iff you don't mind where did you get the rack on top of your jerry can holder ?
It’s a product made from Raslarr engineer engineering
@@Australian4x4Adventures thank you love watching the videos. I have the same setup on mine getting there slowly. Thank you again
your straps give me anxiety 😂 roll them up. That messy pile is not something you have to live with.
😂. Glad to provide some good anxiety 😝
Just ordered some and thanks for the free postage deal. As always ended up ordering other goodies.
Glad it could help ya out.
Are they better than stratchits?
Depends on the use. It’s all explained in the video
Code doesn't work
I’ve had heaps of ppl use it. A4X4A
It seems as if his website is currently down.
That’s no good. Maybe too much traffic 😂
Is this still occurring as we have had no issues to our knowledge let me know. Thanks
Aaron
@@essential4x439Hi Aaron. It is working now thanks. 👍🏻.
All those ratchet straps you could make yourself a belt :p
I could. Yet I still didn’t 😂
Mate, your ratchet straps looks shit 😂😂😂😂
The S hooks on the torkstraps are coated. Watch that in future if the coating comes off !
Cheers
Cool. Thanks for the feedback.
My ratchet straps have been used every week for the last 11 years. They’ve done a fair bit of work over the years.
Aussie 4x4 advertising on free sponsored crap.
Ummmm. I paid for these 🙄🤦♂️
@@Australian4x4Adventures just going on past history as you don’t pay for much and I won’t watch any you tuber that does advertising as it’s all biased crap and no one ever mentions what things cost and I’ve heard every excuse as to why they don’t.
You do you man. I don’t care.
I’ve never lied about any product. I’ve made plenty of review videos bagging out products I’ve got for free and I’ve got plenty of legal letters from places because I’ve said their product is crap.
If you don’t want to believe me that’s fine. That’s your right.
