93 to 95 was the boom. WPF even dipped into 96 with Series 3, but they mostly disappeared after 95. They had saturated the toy market as they were a cost-effective way for virtually any company to advertise. Towards the end of the fad, they were also getting banned in schools as they were considered "kid's gambling."
I think my POG collection got out of hand. I literally have a library of binders full of authentic pog brand sets (WPF, Trov, Imperial, SGI/SEI/AGC, Slug, Rohks, etc), a stack of different playing boards, and hundreds (maybe thousands) of authentic slammers (not the sticker kind, molded plastics and minted metals, some even gold plated). Oh, and tube-fulls, many many tubes, and even sack bags full of pogs. I even have POG action figures and VHS tapes. Nostalgia brings back memories of better times. I think that's why I obsess over it. I also love vintage video games.
I lost all mine over constant moving homes, while being a kid at the time I didn't know anything.. now I look back and wish I was a little older so I could have put them in a save place
I did another ebay search as I check the value every several years to see mine. I don't think they're worth much still. Relatively might be okay value but I couldn't just give away such a hard to reobtain 90s collection for less than $500. Heck anything less than $900 just goes too fast. I love the memories. I have my 90s gem trio I would need good value to part with sentimental wise. Large beanie baby collection, thousands of Pogs and magic the gathering. Though mtg is still current and active. But damm old 90s booster packs are alot even if new cards demolish them.
I have a few thousand still and lots of slammers. Alot of cool series of art pics. Themed art sets. 8 balls, poison, pog Branded on the back side. Bad news slammers and pogs. Slam demons, wackoids, killer bugs, cyberdudes...got this one from the ice cream man once. Dude pickin his nose called thr boogie man haha. They're amazing. Watching this to see if you have any of mine. I keep thinking I'm bound to see mine in others collections. Goes to show how insanely vast pogs were. I'll see people's entire multi thousand collection and maybe a couple matches
Good ol cap-vac slammers. I have a few color variants. First match to my collection you pulled. I don't have the color you have. Mine are purple bg/green vac. Blue bg/silver-translucent vac. I see several official "slammer jammer". They made cool slammers and pogs. You have alot I don't have. The official set with the furry guy, and the mix of soft and hard pogs seems to be the most common I see. I have a super incomplete bundle from that set. Though honestly the off brand stuff is more nostalgic and got more play. Nobody wanted to bang up the "collector" pogs or let alone play for keeps with them.
They are keepsakes still I think. I’ve always thought about them here and there. I’m a 91 baby and remember some painful days of loosing pogs on the playground lol
“Remember Rob? He’s back-in Pog form!”

You somehow skipped over every POG I wanted to see and showed me every POG I didn't want to see

Ying-yangs were a thing like 8-balls too.
"Zodiac symbols...cool, if you believe in that thing."
- Sarcastic comment from man sorting through thousands of cardboard discs.
