      @@TheBlueCorolla Hello. I am from srilanka . I have toyota axio 2007 X grade (This is japanese domestic car ) My car doesn't has the Tachometer in my meter board cluster . But Same car G grade( has more options than the X grade. Ex . Meter Board cluster with tachometer ). I just want to know is it possible to fix G grade Meter board in to X grade . Tks.

      @@agampodipasindumangaladezo5547 I wouldn't be too sure if I'm honest, if the options are only interior and and body it should work, but if the G has traction control you might end up with a light on the dashboard, if you have a friend with the G model ask can you swap the part to see if it works before you commit to buying one

    I went to a dealership for an airbag recall, and a week later I noticed all this stuff was loose and not in place properly! The outer dash trim ruined and my instrument cluster rocked side to side! I noticed cause when going on the motorway everything was rattling! Now I got to sort it out myself.

    • @TheBlueCorolla
      @TheBlueCorolla  5 лет назад +1

      I had the recall on the passenger side airbag too, can't complain as the dealership done a great job, I only took out my instrument cluster to see how it was done and if it would be easy, I was thinking about swapping it out for the T-Sport one. I hope my video helped you to fix your car

      @@TheBlueCorolla Well that was short lived, basically the first screw you take out is loose and just spinning on itself but will not come out! Well and truly ruined so the fascia will not even come out.

    Great video, very simple to follow along. I have a question, I plan on replacing my stock instrument cluster of the base Corolla for a T-Sport one instead. Would it work, or is there anything that I would have to look for or change? Regards from South Africa/ Bahrain

      They are plug and play so should work fine, however your odometer will be from the donor car, you'd need to open the unit and swap the odometer chip to give you the correct reading

      If it's from the same model yes, if your installing an after market part check to make sure it's specific to your car, if you have a standard car and your putting in the sports model clock you may get some lights on that your car doesn't have, say for example traction control

    So you skipped the part of you moving the cluster so it can have “movement to take the screen off, there’s tabs in the back it doesn’t just come out like the the screen for the cluster! Also I did it without taking off the screen jus my used a flat head to move those bottoms brackets holding the cluster and removes the connections and that’s it

    What it cracks?
    Do you purchase the whole cluster & does it come with the circuit board?

    • @TheBlueCorolla
      @TheBlueCorolla  4 года назад

      In most Toyota dealerships they'll sell the screen separately, if you buy the cluster as a whole then the circuit board would be included, as they don't usually give trouble I'd recommend buying a used one from a scrap yard as it'd be cheaper than a main dealer
