      I had a small stallion that would kill anything that got in his pasture, dogs, woodchucks, whatever.
      I warned the neighbors who liked to let their dog chase the horses while they watched, and patched the fence where he was getting in. They cut the fence, let him in and then were screaming at me to call off the horse. I shook a bucket of oats, but he was on a mission. Finally the dog got back through the hole they cut in the fence. I told them that they needed to mend it this time, and next time don't yell for me to rescue their mutt.

      A cowboy buys a horse from the town pastor. The pastor explains, “To make the horse go, you gotta yell, ‘Thank God!’ And to make it stop, yell, ‘Hallelujah.’”
      The cowboy rides away. He rides all day and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff. Searching his memory, he yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” The horse grinds to a stop just at the edge of the cliff. The cowboy wipes the sweat off his forehead.
      “Phew!” the cowboy sighs. “Thank God!”

    In Thoroughbred racing, there use to be a rather famous horse called Dynaformer... he was a very big blocky plain looking horse with kind of a big long head that wasn't pretty as most thoroughbred heads either. Years after he retired, a rare sighting of a moose happened at Saratoga race park...and one of the famous trainers there, said he saw it earlier and just thought that Dynaformer had escaped the farm and returned. lol
    That horse in the video is pretty amazing and brave to go up against a moose. I live in Idaho and we have moose here and I think, by the locals, anyway, people are more afraid of running into a moose than a bear when out in the boonies. A lot of people don't realize how very dangerous moose, elk and deer can be, they can get quite aggressive and their hooves can cut someone up just like a knife can.

      Yeah, Moose are forces of nature when angered. However, so are horses. 😂
      I grew up on a farm, and nothing ever fucked with the horses. Our horses would even run deer out of the field, territorial.

    • @thunderatigervideo
      @thunderatigervideo Год назад +1

      Hey fellow Idahoan!
      Yeah, when hiking, I’ve encountered a pair of wolves, a wolverine (VERY far away and very neat), badgers, porcupines, deer, elk, moose, etc. Moose are amazing, but you absolutely steer clear of them. They’re the biggest things in the woods and they know it. The only things that might send me scrambling for distance faster would be finding a bear cub or a cougar cub. That would be both cuteness overload and absolutely terrifying.

    • @StormyPeak
      @StormyPeak Год назад +1

      @@thunderatigervideo I get the bear cub thing, I've had 2 occasions where I've come across them, and in one incident was wondering where mama bear was at.
      In the other incident, I was on a 4-wheeler, headed down a road to the bottom of a creek, where the road make a U, and would take you back uphill on the other side of that creek.
      Two bear cubs and mama bear were at the bend...the cubs up on the road and the mama bear in the creek. She immediately ran up to be by her cubs and looked at me and 2 other people who were with me.
      We all turned around and headed back the way we came from as fast as we could...lol
      I haven't seen a cougar cub ever, but have encountered a full grown one, who luckily decided to run off, rather than show interest in me.
      Have been very close to moose to, but fortunately, have been inside of a truck...still those things can look down on you as you are sitting inside a pick up truck.

    The horse is protecting his family, horses are remarkable if they feel an animal is a threat they will come after it, just natural, I think the horse wouldn't of had any problems with the moose because it was on his turf, now if the horse was on the moose territory it would of been another story, believe it or not a full grown horse will run any animal out of his/her area even a grizzly especially if they have a strong bond with humans esp kids they will protect with their life!!!! When you have a horse for a companion they're very protective, they will interact with you in so many awesome ways that most people wouldn't expect!! Also it wouldn't surprise me if these two know each other and it's a game they like to play with each other, we had a Welsh pony who played tag with a grown white tail deer, they became good buddies and loved each other!
