He's not getting rough at all. He's a big boy with a big appetite, and he's celebrating a new delivery of hay with an industrial grade head-scratching. If the bull was getting rough, the man would have got mowed down for telling him to stop it. And, the bull's body language is relaxed and friendly, but excited.
I think he needs to get some of those big brushes you can get for cattle. They look like big scrub brushes mounted on the side of the barn or on a stand in the middle of the pasture. Cows and bulls jove them! They scratch their heads, backs, sides, faces, and bums on them. It makes them very happy.
He's probably just trying to give that big chunk of hay the "business." Cows do it too. I kinda think it's domination/excitement sort of reaction when food arrives, or, something interesting enters their space.
Aww. What a playful, adorable set you’ve got! That bull is a sweet one still. Enjoy him, while you can. When they turn mean, you’ll know it. Love your dog too!
He's not angry, he's happy. He's nuzzling the hay with his head. A Hereford bull with a full set of horns nuzzled me when I was ten. He was happy to see me every day because I brought him his grain. I've never forgotten Donomo Gem. Happy memories!
That is one very happyand healthy herd. Your bull reminds me of ours. He loves to scratch his head on everything and looks like he was trying to help you unwrap the hay bale. Like Come On? Hurry Up! Lol
Your cattle are telling you they are itchy. You need to get one of the big brushes they sell for cattle they look like a car wash brush from a drive- thru car wash. You mount it on a post or in your barn, cows love it.
This has been my favorite breed since the NC State Fair a few years back and I saw what breeds there were! It just looks the sweetest... then I saw the Brahman and thought it looked like an alien lol
When you have a Hereford bull there is a high chance that you are going to get some good laughs out of them . They have to be the clowns of the bull world also my favourite breed of cattle by far .🙂
I have a Hereford cross friesian cow, his name is gizmo and me and him are best friends we have such a good relationship. Soon he will hopefully be mine soon :)
When I was 14 I had a argument with a grown Hereford bull about chowing down on the green corn. He also had a nice set of horns. Had to bend 8 feet of 1/2 inch pipe in and around his horns. Twice. I guess he thought the 1st thump was a mistake. The convincing part. A. Do not run over me. B. Leave the corn and go back to the pasture. The pasture was over a mile away. That was in 1962. He also was a $10,000 bull. The nieghbhor was glad to get him back. Probably hurt the bull's pride more than his head. Also green corn is not a good thing for a bovine to stuff itself full of. It can kill them.
Yes I’ve seen those as well and I’m planning to install something like that in there pasture this summer! Thanks for the comment and please check out our other videos!
Hope your alright my friend says you look like you have watery eyes and you look tired pout the cows are enjoying the fresh hay sorry I am blind but love listening in
I think it's a toy or he thinks it is. As soon as the wapper comes of, it is now food. Remember how some cows and bulls will kick or butt a crate or box or something around just to do it? We had one that would roll the salt block all over the place.
Hey man, as a long time farmer and cattle feeder, you need to enclose the bottom of that feeder to keep the waste to a minimum! Great feeders the round bale feeders, but unless you enclose the bottom portion below the headstalls, they knock so much of the hay out and it's wasted. Great looking cattle, good luck!
I notice you never turn your back on him, lol. I've had plenty of brushes with bulls growing up. They can be sweet and gentile, but they have no concept of their size....and sometimes they get ornery and territorial- those are the ones that scare me the most. That and a cow with a calf. Same with hogs- one of my best friends growing up got a nice dent in the side of his dad's new pickup when a boar decided to take after him- he jumped in the bed of the truck and the hog put a nice face shaped dent in the truck!
Many greetings. Got some weird questions, if you have the time. When you arrived with the bale, was he 'rutting' against it, or does it just feel good to them? He looked a bit excited but, I know not the ways of the Bovine... I know the ways of the house Panther. Also, does the hound help to herd the cows and keep them in line? Kind regards and keep on keepin' on!
The dog was off duty in this clip. His presence is defintely noticed by the cattle, but he was not there to herd them up and they knew it. He might not even have that job description. He was definitely keeping a respectful eye on the bull, while "helping" around the tractor. As to the bull's behavior: Likely just excitement at seeing food, and the commoton in the paddock as well. Probably needed a good scratch. Cattle do get animated by something new or pleasant. They'll buck around, conduct fake charges, spin, fall on their butts, etc. They are not boring. They just live boring lives.
I’m from the city, yet I was born in a small village in Africa, I never got up close to cows and I’m surprised how playful they are, their like giant oversized dogs.
3:20 Your "cameragirl" is a brave one! 😱 I've got some respect for those bulls, their adrenaline pump doesn't seem to work on any logic. A neighbor got caught and that was the end of him. Take care, you seem to know what you're doing 😉👍

My mom helped me raise a Hereford bull, when I was young, as a 4H project and we named him Bosco. Bosco was always sweet and gentle even when being playful. My early grades elementary school was on the far side of our pasture. I used to ride Bosco to school and he was always at the pasture fence when school let out so I could ride him home. He lived a long and happy life and passed away at 28 years of age.
My PopPop who owns a dairy farm now used to ride a bull to school when he was a young child! Awesome you did it too. :) I have a few cows myself and while I do not ride them, I have found their personality similar to dogs--very friendly animals. Just need to be careful with them since they aren't always mindful of their size.
That is such a warm story of farm life. Our cattle, horses were on the other side, AND FOR SURE, THAT MEAN BULL OF THE NEIGHBORS, with LONG LONG HORNS WASN’T GOING TO HELP US OUT. When we crossed that field you better be watching for him because for sure he was looking for you. If that had been my children there is no way I would have ever, ever let my kids go across a field where a mean, mean bull was waiting for you. Unbelievable what parents used to let their children do. I once jumped out of a hayloft with an umbrella thanking it was a parachute! It wasn’t! Although I was about 75 pounds it hurt my ankles. Children today have no idea what it’s like to experience such educational fun and a learning experience.
No way. He's saying "Look ladies, he was driving off but I stopped him and got food" and they are saying. "Ohhh Big Business you are the mostest." I bet there were calves in the making that night. Go boy....
well when the civil war comes and US breaks into two countries this will be seen more in the red states, meanwhile in the blue states they'll be rioting over toilet paper
Meh, if 2 men could do the work of a hundred and the other 98 could still be happy then that would be enough for me. Let's just break up the large companies and keep moving forward.
Most families can’t afford the land or equipment, so how do “we” bring it back? Many families had hundreds of acres they eventually could hang on too because the overhead cost outpaced the profit margin.

Hang in there farmers, we love and need you!!!
Just excited. Boys play like boys.
Beautiful cattle 😍 The bull’s having fun. He’s excited 😊
I thnk he's smart enough to recognize there's webbing outside the hay and he's trying to remove it.
@@mscir not necessarily, I’ve seen other bulls do that on accessible hay!!! 🤪
Tasty too. 😉

Nice garden tractor , that good young Hereford bull will turn it on its side lmao
It's great to see that American farmers have English cattle.
Thats a nice looking hereford bull!
Bulls are so cute! Taurus is my sign!
This Farming Simulator has got really good graphics!!
It looks like the cattle could use one of those giant brush scratching posts.

Nice Video ,and love the Music
Farming is life!
Bulls love round bales
He's not angry, he's hungry!! He is rubbing his head on it, because it's his way of trying to get the netting off the bail so he can eat it!!
The music's nice, but the sweet sound of John Deere diesel is better.

cute how the cows try to help getting the net off with rubbing their heads against it

I don't have the slightest clue as to what it takes to farm but the dog was cool...
He says it his scratching spot and he is taking first dibs.
I agree, he's scratching his head on the hay.

You could make up a sturdy 'scratch' gizmo...I'm sure the that bull (and the others) would be grateful.
What do you do with the net wrap ?
