IN MY OPINION these are where all the bosses belong on the difficulty chart. What I love about Cuphead is that everyone has a different boss they find hardest! Lots of people hate the robot though and I just don't understand why

The only part where i do disagree is the kahl's robot,both first and third phase were a huge pain for me,pretty good list overall
No dr khal is at the bottom for me I can s rank him first try every time I play him

When I first tried dr khals robot, I could not even get past the first phase. But I had practice with the first one and got the hang of it. My list is first phase:not much of a challenge. Second:pathetic. And last: absolutely brutal. It took me like 30 tries to beat the last phase.

Dr. Kahl’s patterns are consistent. By far the easiest flying boss after playing the game enough.

@untitled channel Actually its pretty like 300% harder than warbles 2nd stage. the problem is the huge walls, trying to get past it and dodge is hard, but i can one try him these days (its much easier with miss chalice)

IMO his hardest phase is the 2nd one cuz the last one isn’t too bad with the 3rd super and spreadshot with its ex attacks at point blank range since the cat is in the background and all 8 spikes will hit it dealing a crap ton of damage

I always found the king dice fight as a whole to the be the hardest boss.especially when you fight king dice himself at the end.very very tough and i had a decent bit of trouble

No the thing that makes it hard is that you use up all your energy on all the casino bosses then you barely have enough energy to fight King Dice, cause that’s what I was like for my first time.
Fun Fact: Through all my King Dice fights, I never actually encountered the Monkey. (Not never beat, never even encountered) Also, Dr. Khal was the bane of my existence
Mr. Chimes (the monkey’s name) is the 9th and last one.
I don't know why but I found his expert mode easier? Maybe it's because I waited a really long time to do his expert and beat the dlc so I just got better at the game but still.

I've beaten it once (or two) and a lot of times I died when I almost won. I encountered it accidentally :/
Grim matchstick was honestly pretty easy for me once I figured out to use lobbed: I see why everybody may think his 3rd phase is hard but personally it’s quite easy. When he uses flamethrower just go to the top to hit with a lot of lob we and lover ex. And his fireballs are quite slow and easy to dodge. He also only uses one attack at a time which to me is easier. This is just my opinion though and I do respect the opinions of those who think he is one of the top three hardest bosses.
One thing to consider. By this point in the game some people might have already spent all their coins and didn't have the lobber yet. I spent my coins on other stuff and couldn't get it so I instead had to use the roundabout.
One thing about the fireballs in Grim’s final phase: shoot it and it splits into four flames. So don’t shoot at them!
The ghost is called Blind Specter :)
You almost got it they are called the Lollipop ghouls or the blaze brothers.
The rabbit is called Hopus Pocus
The carrot is called Chauncey
The Monkey is called Mr. Chimes
The dogs are called The Howling Aces
And the potato is called Sal Spudder

Funny thing about the pawns they SUCK to fight with two players since everything gets a HP boost so each one takes 2 hits to knock of its head. A friend of mine and I spent a good 15 mins retrying that same fight over and over… it was not fun
Oh, god. I feel your pain. My boyfriend and me had to move to single player only for that fight, because we spent like 20 minutes of dying and readind that "Despacito" reference.

I can relate to you about the peons/pawns. They just keep jumping on top of you while you're trying to jump over or parry another one, and it's extremely annoying.

Dr. Kahl's robot took FOREVER for me to A+. In my opinion he's the hardest boss.
Every boss played normally not for grades. Easy. Bosses played for A+ or S ranks. Hell
I have A+’d Phantom Express and Dr. Kahl’s Robot and haven’t even gotten higher than A- on Grim.

4:00 fr this freaking mage, I took me literal 11 straight hours to S rank him, easily the hardest one for me
Fun fact for the pawns, with chalice, you can dash/parry on them without jumping

I completely agree with you for Mortimer Freeze’s second phase being harder than the third.

It’s just the fucking popsicle demons that make it unreasonably difficult for me, the rest is good.
Finally someone who thinks dr kahl is easy, I honestly have no idea how people find him so hard
He was broken during Launch, then his Phases got upgraded and the entire Boss Fight became easier in general(or atleast it seems like it) , people find him so hard because there's a lot going on during the battle, especially if the Player doesnt adapt strategies or patterns in order to defeat Him. I always found him to be stressfull but fun, if you lock in a Play Pattern for the First Phase the rest is fairy easy, only a matter of survival.
Beating Dr. Kahl's Robot was possibly the biggest relief I've ever experienced in gaming.
I found Cala Maria hard than Grim Matchstick though. I found the airplane levels harder in general.
And the secret Angel and Demon pretty easy, once I realized I could roll around the bottom with Miss Chalice using Crackshot.

The first tier list I mostly agree with, I thought the Tipsy Troop were really easy once I figured out that they have animations before they attack. Also, Fearlap would be in absolutely brutal, the foreground covered everything.
Edit: Ribby and croaks would be WAY higher for me, the tigers are the bane of my existence.

I definitely agree with this list overall, every placement is quite fair when taking into account all of the difficulty settings and whatnot. I feel like there are a few on there though that can definitely differ depending on how you play them. For example, the easier bosses such as Beppi the clown and Sally Stageplay actually ended up being a real pain to finish off since I was trying to S rank them with the peashooter only. It ended up being really hard due to taking too long on them and it took a while to really optimize for that, ESPECIALLY Beppi. Great list man 👍 (Also the Mr Chimes placement is absolutely true I would be hard pressed to find anyone intentionally going for them during the King Dice fight)

You are absolutely right about Djimmi the Great, when I first tried fighting him he is super hard but when I played him yesterday I beat him first try. I also did it damage-less as well. P a t h e t I c.
The game sure caters to different skill sets. I’d guess if you were to take a poll of tier lists you’d get some drastically different results. Not putting Esther Winchester on the brutal list tells me you’re much better at dodging every-which-way projectiles all over while manipulating the plane mechanics than I am. You also place some others as harder than I find them. How you’re equipped also changes things considerably, especially if you’ve got the Devine Relic.
Speaking of which, the amount of guides various gaming sites have posted on the Devine Relic, go into deep detail on how to get it, then describe it as only randomizing the weapons with normal HP is pretty high. These people are in the business of giving gaming tips and they don’t even notice the other effects or think to mention them?
Also, I just had the most clutch way to beat a final boss you can have - Playing through Saltbaker after several failed attempts, I got a knockout AND death animation at the same time! It counted as a win, thankfully, but for a moment you’re not sure what to believe as “Knockout!” appears on screen, the boss goes into its sputtering animation, and your sad ghost is floating up alongside it. Maybe there should be a special achievement for that...
It’s funny to me that you put Hilda Berg so high, I thought she was pretty easy even as a first time player, especially compared to Ribby and croaks. Those guys took me forever to get their 3rd phase.

I love how you put the boss where you just use smoke dash and shoot and can easily win and is arguebly one of the easiest bosses above dr kahl one of the most bullet hell intensive fights
dude when you play the dice fight you dont know what you gonna play so you wont allways use the smoke bomb so its mostly luck plus when you dont have the smoke bomb its really hard to jump over the small hole while theres only one chip at the bottom the timing brutal so its above the boss where your absoloutly sure whats gonna happen.

Imo the robot is one of the hardest bosses because there's too much going on at once, and mortimer freeze was just like the second easiest boss in the game for me, i literally beat him first or second try with ms. Chalice

Although I initially struggled a fair bit with Hilda Berg, I managed to defeat her around my 10th try, however, I still haven't beaten Ribby and Croaks and I find the 3rd phase rather difficult.

Best one I've seen so far
I just completed my first ever playthrough of Cuphead (haven't done DLC yet). Took a few days and the bosses I struggled the most on were Dr Kahl (third phase) and King Dice. Devil was also tough. The Dragon was actually very easy for me, I guess it depends on the player. Your videos did help a lot though!

I think when you use the purple weapon (the balls), it's way easier to beat the dragon, especially the third stage, because it's harder to hit and explode his shot.
@@DaniloOliveira36 Yeah. I used Roundabout on first phase, lobber on second and third. You just have to stay near the top middle and jump occassionally, it's a piece of cake!
Same here. I am on the dlc and Esther whinchester is giving me a hard time. Then I have howling aces and salt baker.
Yeah to be fair dr.kahl and the devil were the only booses I struggled in the base game in the dlc is the last boss the chess pawn and the wizard going into the snow golem

I started playing through Cuphead for the first time recently, and the only bosses that gave me any difficulty were Hilda Berg and Wally Warbles. Until I got to Grim Matchstick, who I’m currently stuck on. Absolutely brutal fight.

Chef salt baker is the bane of my existence.
In my experience, I’m not good at cuphead but I beat Grim Matchstick with a lot less deaths and before Bleppy the clown who could not kill and I’d died way more than I probably should have before killing Bleppy so I’d put Matchstick at Tricky but not bad and Bleppy at Quite Difficult on my list
It’s Beppi but me too, first time I beat grin matchstick it didn’t take me long. Now I’ve s ranked all the bosses, and I can say I find grim matchstick hard.
With Mortimer freeze it’s actually pretty easy to get parries as long as you don’t kill him too fast. Basically what I do is I just stop shooting for 20-30 seconds for him to do his bucket attack again, then I finish him off once I’ve got 3 parries, still finishing with 15-20 seconds under 2:00
bosses have more health on expert mode and getting less then 2 minutes 10 seconds might not happen even if you do everything right

Tbh I never found phantom express hard and I only found it very relaxing. It was very easy with chaser because I can just standing still while shooting and I never had to move around as much. The second and final phase was easy to dodge because I found a pattern with them that made it really easy . Oh and also I only beat grim matchstick in 9 tries smh but cala maria and captain briney beard gave me a rough time. Idk how

In my opinion, Grimmatstick is ''Tricky but not bad", but Doctor Kahl, was so brutal for me. Also, I agree with you on how hard Hopus Poucs is. First I tried Ms. Chalice, but the I used the charm ''P sugar'' and then it was kinda a piece of cake. (This is my opinion.)

I just recently started getting all the s-ranks, and I had very little problems with Grim Matchstick. For Wally Warbles, should I play as Cuphead/Mugman for the better shooting, or Ms. Chalice for the extra hit point?
I still think he's easier as Cuphead because Chalice just doesn't do enough damage for that boss!

The turning point for Grim was the lobber for me, it melts him very fast in the second and third phase
Wally is pain all around, but the divine relic does help I believe
I recommend Cuphead with the Divine Relic. The Relic isn’t that great for land bosses, since it randomises your weapons, but on airplane levels (when you only have two weapons anyway) it works like a treat. And use many, many, many, many bombs to decrease his health as quickly as you can.
On the phantom express, according to the wiki, the bosses are the Blind Spectre, the Conductor (I always thought his name was T-Bone, and the devs joke that it's Mr. Bone Jangles), the Lollipop Ghouls, and the Head of the Train.
I STRUGGLED WERNER WERMAN SO MUCH HES ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL
Dr. Kahl, Grim Matchstick, And Wally Warbles are the hardest bosses for me even in normal mode. And they are a whole new thing when going for S rank

Esther Winchester in my opinion is a great boss fight. It’s difficult the first time but with enough practice she’s easy. The fight itself perfectly encapsulates the Wild West and it’s fun to fight her. Probably my favourite boss in the game

The amount of projectiles he spits that just covers the bottom of the screen is just brutal! You can only get occasional parries with that damn potato 🥔!
