A Fall Treat | Making My Grandma's Persimmon Cookies!!!

- Today I made my grandma’s persimmon cookies! My grandma's persimmon cookies are my Aunt Jane's favorite cookie, so I sent them to her via USPS overnight shipping.
Grandma’s Persimmon Cookies:
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
1 beaten egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup hachiya persimmon pulp (the hachiya persimmons must be fully ripe and soft).
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped and toasted walnuts
Bake 10-12 min in 350 degree oven 15 min for large cookies. Do not overcook, the cookies will be moist.

My grandma made the same. But she used cinnamon instead of nutmeg. And chocolate chips instead of raisins and walnuts. They are perfect for the holidays since the fruit is only available in late fall.
