Do they really taste like persimmon or do the fruit only bring sugar and moisture?

There is a slight persimmon taste, they taste pretty close to a pumpkin cookie if you have ever tried those, since they use the same spices (cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg). And yes the fruit adds moisture and brings out the sugar flavor too.
