DO Carnivores get sick?

- So many people are trying the Carnivore Diet these days. Many proponents declare "It's Miraculous", almost like a country song played backwards!
I'm here to tell you, it just ain't so. I have the Man Flu, aka a common cold. Now I am losing weight, and my general body aches and pains are fading away however, I do have a stinking cold.
Other than the cold, this way of eating sure is paying dividends. While I have "lost" weight, the important part is my glucose is good, my insulin is good, and my pants need a belt. I suppose catching the common cold isn't a strike against eating in a carnivore manner, rather just an inconvenience.

David, thanks for reaching out. I was in El Paso about a year ago as my Dad and sister still live there. I suspect I will be traveling back to ELP this fall.
Isn't Carnivore amazing!! I have been pretty strict now since early Feb., and I don't see a reason to stop just yet. I am really in this for liver health, and then my weight, I need to lose an overall 75+ lbs. I have lost about 25 so far. How has it been for you?

I just remembered that DC learning said he upped his fats whenever he got a cold and that helped. I haven’t done that. I guess I’ll do that today. I understand what you going through because I’m fighting a little sickness and I think carnivore is helping cause it felt like the flu or something else but I got tested and it didn’t register any of the usual suspects . I will say that I have had a couple days where I haven't felt 100% but honestly my immune system feels AMAZING on Carnivore. I haven't been REALLY sick in quite some time. Sorry you are not feeling great currently!

Ah, I'm sorry to hear you're sick! I've had two colds in three months recently. Before carnivore, colds brought bronchitis or sinusitis along with it. These last ones were without secondary infections, making the duration and severity considerably relieved. I credit deep ketosis. 👍
